The Nabucco pipeline… the Qatar-Turkey pipeline… the Islamic pipeline… are they real… or are they…

“The Phantom Pipelines”

As the war in Syria drags on and on, false news reports seem to be the order of the day. Getting to the truth is, as usual, very difficult. So why the war?

What Are The Underlying Causes?

We will look at the claims – and counter claims, and try to get to the truth! First – we look at what many assume to be the main cause of the war in Syria – and it’s all about oil – and oil pipelines – or is it?

The Nabucco pipeline

“The Nabucco pipeline was planned to take Caspian gas from the Turkish-Bulgarian border and carry it via Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary to the Central European Gas Hub at Baumgarten, in Austria. Partners in the Nabucco project, abandoned in 2013, were Austria’s OMV, Bulgaria’s Bulgargaz, Turkey’s Botas, Romania’s Transgaz and Hungary’s FGSZ, a subsidiary of MOL.” (

The Qatar-Turkey pipeline

“Qatar-Turkey pipeline runs from Qatar through Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria to Turkey to reach Europe. The US economy is also affected by politics in Syria because the US dollar is no longer backed by gold, but by Saudi oil- in order to purchase oil, the transaction must take place with US dollars, which stabilizes the currency. Therefore, the Qatar-Turkey pipeline would keep the US dollar afloat, propping up the fiat currency system and the bankers who profit from it.

The Islamic pipeline

The Islamic pipeline, originates in Iran, and passes through Iraq, Syria and Lebanon on its way to Europe. Currently, Russia sells 70% of its gas exports to Europe. Both proposed pipelines would reduce Russia’s top export, and could strangle its economy. In 2009, Syrian President Assad refused to allow the pipeline to run through his country ‘to protect the interests of our Russian ally.’ Plans were then made to create a Sunni uprising to overthrow Assad.

The Migrant Crisis

Globalists used the Syrian war as an excuse to bully Europe into accepting millions of migrants as refugees into their borders, overwhelming EU countries. France and Germany expressed concern that the US airstrikes on Syria against Assad could fuel a new wave of mass migration to Europe. In addition, migrants from the Middle East and Africa pose a threat to host countries if they rebel inside European borders .” (

The High Stakes Of The War Over Syria

“The US is involved in overthrowing the Assad regime in Syria in order to gain oil resources, keep the US dollar afloat, cripple the Russian economy, and to fight for Israel’s interests. Bankers, multinational oil companies and military contractors are the beneficiaries of the war that has killed half a million people.

There is little chance that peace will break out in Syria because the economies of Russia, Iran, the US and Saudi Arabia hinge on whether pipelines will be built across the war-torn country. In addition, Israel seeks to expand its territory and dominance in the Middle East, causing conflict.” (

A Tale Of Two Pipelines

So – are these pipelines real? Or are they phantoms?

As the following article points out, these pipelines never got past the drawing board – there is even a lack of credible evidence to prove that the project ever existed! Phantoms indeed - an appearance or illusion without material substance, as a dream image, mirage, or optical illusion!

"The internet is replete with stories about this, where some Arab commentators and prominent western analysts, including Pepe Escobar and William Engdahal, and media outlets propagate the story that Qatar turned to supporting the Syrian opposition to Bashar Al Assad for his refusal of the Qatari pipeline without giving any credible supporting evidence as to whether there was such a project in the first place.

The Iranian project is believed by some to be supported by Russia and it’s a mind boggling question as to why Russia would support a competitor to its own interests in Turkey and Europe. At the same time why would Iran seek such a vulnerable route to pass through a destabilised Iraq and Syria while it could expand its already existing export pipeline facility to Turkey.

The two proposals are unfounded or unrealistic and Paul Cochran of ‘Middle East Eye’ says: ‘While neither pipeline has left the drawing board, or indeed was ever realistic, this has not dampened the theory’s popularity as a core reason for the Syria conflict.’ People sometimes believe conspiracy theories because they are afraid they may materialise or that they are the easy way to explain complex issues. In the meantime, the Syrian people continue to suffer.” (

Syrian War: Not A “Pipeline War”

“As has been the case with all the other wars the US has fought over the decades, opponents of the US war state have had to come up with their own explanations for the sponsorship of a sectarian bloodbath in Syria. The explanation that is rapidly gaining popularity is that the war in Syria is a ‘pipeline war,’ fought to ensure that the natural gas from Qatar would go to Europe through Syria and would weaken Europe’s dependence on Russia for its energy.

That argument has been made in a number of places over the last few years, but the most widely republished version is an essay by Robert F Kennedy, Jr in Politico, arguing that the Obama administration began to lay the groundwork for overthrowing the Assad regime in 2009 after Syrian President Bashar al-Assad rejected a pipeline proposed by Qatar. That planned pipeline agreed to by Qatar and Turkey, Kennedy argues, would have linked Qatar’s natural gas to European markets through Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and Turkey, so it would have deprived Russia of Europe’s dependence on its natural gas.

But Assad not only prevented the realization of the Qatari plan but signed up with Iran for an alternative pipeline that would make Iran, not Qatar, the principal Middle East supplier of natural gas to European energy markets, according to the ‘pipeline war’ account, so the Obama administration decided that Assad had to be removed from power.

It’s easy to understand why that explanation would be accepted by many anti-war activists: it is in line with the widely accepted theory that all the US wars in the Middle East have been ‘oil wars’ - about getting control of the petroleum resources of the region and denying them to America’s enemies.

But the ‘pipeline war’ theory is based on false history and it represents a distraction from the real problem of US policy in the Middle East - the US war state’s determination to hold onto its military posture in the region.

The pipeline theory ignores the fact that the proposed Qatar-to-Turkey pipeline was always contingent on being able to link up with a larger proposed pipeline - the so-called ‘Nabucco’ pipeline going through Turkey that was designed by the EU to reduce European dependence on Russian gas. But as The Guardian reported in July 2009, the Nabucco pipeline project ‘has been mired in disputes and difficulties for two years, raising doubts about its viability.’

If it’s not a pipeline war, why is the US intervening in Syria?

The US decision to support Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia in their ill-conceived plan to overthrow the Assad regime was primarily a function of the primordial interest of the US permanent war state in its regional alliances. The three Sunni allies control US access to the key US military bases in the region, and the Pentagon, the CIA, the State Department and the Obama White House were all concerned, above all, with protecting the existing arrangements for the US military posture in the region.

After all, those military bases are what allow the United States to play at the role of hegemonic power in the Middle East, despite the disasters that have accompanied that role.

The massive, direct and immediate power interests of the US war state - not the determination to ensure that a pipeline would carry Qatar’s natural gas to Europe - drove the US policy of participation in the war against the Syrian regime.” (

President Dwight D Eisenhower: The Warning

On leaving office in 1961, President Dwight D. Eisenhower left the American people this warning:

“Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations.

This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence - economic, political, even spiritual - is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.” (

2018 - The US Military-Industrial Complex

To put the sheer scale of the American Military monster in perspective, there are only 16 nations in today’s world who have a Gross Domestic Product [GDP] greater than the American military-industrial complex! Since the Second World War, the US has been in an almost continual state of war, thus ensuring great profits for US arms supply companies.

Some of these wars have lasted for years. One such example was the war in Vietnam. Twenty long years of war, over 58,000 American dead, ending in defeat. Another long standing conflict is the ongoing war in Afghanistan: 16 years, thousands dead and no clear end in sight.

The military-industrial complex, the bankers who support them, and multinational oil companies are the real beneficiaries of all these wars which have killed millions of people!

President Eisenhower’s worst fears would seem to have been realised. According to many analysts, the military-industrial complex is now so powerful that they do have “unwarranted influence” and there has been a “rise of misplaced power”. An industry that creates over $200 billion in sales cannot be ignored!

“US weapons producers which claimed the largest share of sales, about 58 percent, raked up US$$217 billion worth of sales.

Earlier in September, the US Senate approved a US$700 billion dollar military-spending bill for 2018.” (

China: “The Arrogant US Has A Record Of Launching Wars On Deceptive Grounds”

“China was the first superpower outside those directly involved to slam the US airstrikes: ‘Any unilateral military action violates the United Nations charter and its principles and international law and its principles. The strikes are also going to add more factors to complicate the resolution of the Syrian crisis,’ Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said in a statement on Saturday afternoon.

‘The Chinese side believes a comprehensive, impartial and objective investigation should be conducted into the suspected chemical attacks and it should come up with reliable conclusions. Before this, no conclusion by any side should be made,’ Hua said.

Finally, without stating it expressly, China makes it quite clear on whose side it would be should war break out between Russia and the US: ‘The situation is still fomenting. The Trump administration said it will sustain the strikes. But how long will the military action continue and whether Russia will fight back as it claimed previously remain uncertain. Western countries continue bullying Russia but are seemingly not afraid of its possible counter-attack. Their arrogance breeds risk and danger’.(

A Warning To America And Britain

Note the last remark in the previous article, “ Their arrogance breeds risk and danger.” That sounds like a threat! But there is another threat to both America and Britain, not just a threat – but a promise.

Because our nations have not obeyed God, He is about to step in and fulfil His promises. Read about it in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 28:

“But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee.”

“The LORD shall smite thee with the sword…”

“The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them”

“And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.

“And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other [national captivity].” (Deuteronomy 28:15, 22, 25, 62, 64)

And in the book of Leviticus chapter 26:

“I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror…”

“And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.”

“And I will break the pride of your power”

“And I will bring a sword upon you…”

“And I will make your cities waste.” (Leviticus 26:16, 17, 19, 25, 31)

The Prophet Isaiah was inspired to write:

“Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.” (Isaiah 30:13)

How Could This Sudden Destruction Happen?

As we just read in Isaiah, this terrible destruction happens suddenly.

It could be as complicated as an all out attack with nuclear weapons, destroying major cities… or it could be just one nuclear device, exploded high in the atmosphere over America. The resultant electro-magnetic pulse would destroy all computer chips…

The electricity grid would be instantly destroyed, aircraft would fall out of the sky, cars and trucks would stop, with no pumps to move the water around, the taps would run dry – and the sewers would back up! No TV, radio, mobile phones, air conditioning… and the food supply, especially to the cities, would cease. Then people would start to die! Total Chaos!

Modern day America would be thrown back into the Stone Age! INSTANTLY!

End-time Warning

God kept His promises – He poured out the blessings on both the USA and Britain. But the curses for disobedience are also sure… we need to take heed to the warning given by God’s end time Apostle:

It’s time to wake up! These are not normal times! After nearly 6,000 years of comparative quiet, the whole world suddenly erupted in world-shaking VIOLENCE beginning in 1914. But we have seen NOTHING, yet, compared to what is soon coming!

Suddenly knowledge has increased. Scientific knowledge, technological development. Instantaneous communication, rapid transportation, frightening inventions have resulted. Man has learned at last the secret of the atom. Man has learned how to unleash powers and forces and energies of nature that can destroy human life from off this planet!

At this same time, God Almighty is opening up new knowledge. Mysteries of God, never before known or understood by man, are now revealed to God’s true servants!

What Does All This Mean?

It all means that a purpose is being worked out here below! And the time has come for the Eternal - the Creator-RULER of the universe reveal to us HOW world events, from here, are going to work out the tremendous CLIMAX of that divine PURPOSE! The whole earth is now shaking with convulsions, preparatory to the mightiest happenings of earth’s history!

We are now in the very CRISIS AT THE CLOSE of this present evil and unhappy world!( The Book of Revelation Unveiled at Last!)

…Yet there is HOPE!

It will happen, regardless.
It is sure – the world’s only sure hope.

This advance good news of tomorrow is as certain as the rising of tomorrow’s sun. Humanity won’t bring it about – it is going to be done to us. Humanity is going to be forced to be happy – to enjoy world peace – to see universal abundance and joy fill the earth.

Utopia? Why not. Why should it be an imaginary or impossible pipe-dream? There is a cause for today’s world chaos and threat of human extinction. That cause will be supplanted by that which will bring a utopia that is real, that is successfully functioning!” ( Tomorrow… What It Will Be Like - Chapter 1)
