Confrontation Politics

USA against Iran… USA against Europe… USA against Britain… USA against Germany… USA against China… USA against Venezuela…

We now live in a world of…

“Confrontation Politics”

Confrontation Politics have become part of everyday life! From “credible threats” in the Middle East to “trade wars” with China, threats against allies and regime change in Venezuela, the US appears to be fighting “wars” on several fronts. Trying to get to the truth while being bombarded with propaganda from governments and fake news from the media, is becoming evermore difficult.

One of the problems with watching endtime world events is that we tend to focus on the “event of the day”. What we need to do is to focus on a broad overview of the entire world situation.

The following article points out the type of information that we need to be aware of:

Why Is The US Always ‘Stumbling’ Or ‘Sliding’ Into War?

The way the mainstream media tells it, the United States never, ever ends up embroiled in wars and military conflicts on purpose — only ever by mistake, or as a result of things like ‘bad planning’ or ‘strategic missteps’ …the language they use to describe events is designed to absolve Washington of blame.

If it’s so easy to trip and fall into massive never-ending wars, why isn’t it happening to everyone else? Is Washington just especially clumsy? Either way, it’s a psychological trick which frames the most powerful, military-minded and trigger-happy country in the world as some kind of innocent victim of events beyond its control.( rt.com)

“Create A Crisis?”

The following article makes one wonder if what we are seeing is, in reality, a “create a crisis” situation, with embassy staff being told to leave Iraq, and troops being placed on “ high alert”, due to “ credible threats”…

“Earlier in the day, the US State Department ordered that all American government officials not dealing with emergencies leave Iraq, the US Embassy in Baghdad said in a statement. The Netherlands have joined Germany in suspending its mission in Iraq due to the security threat, according to the ANP News Agency. The statement comes a day after the US Central Command announced that US forces in Iraq and Syria had been placed on ‘high alert’ following ‘credible threats from Iranian forces’ in the region.” ( sputniknews.com)

US Issues Warning To Airlines Flying Over Gulf

Then, commercial airlines are warned to stay away from the area…

“The Federal Aviation Administration has warned US airlines flying over the Gulf to exercise caution ‘due to heightened military activities and increased political tensions in the region.’ The advisory, which also covers airspace over the Gulf of Oman, comes amid rising tensions between the US and Iran. Washington has deployed an aircraft carrier group and B-52 bombers to the region against what it claims is an imminent threat from Tehran.” ( news.yahoo.com)

The Imminent Iran Threat

Is America actually trying to start a war with Iran?

“US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo… accused Tehran of planning ‘imminent’ attacks. He declined to go into further detail on the alleged plot, which has been met with scepticism in numerous quarters, with leading Democratic lawmakers fearing that President Donald Trump’s administration is seeking to spark a war with Iran.” ( france24.com)

The Imminent Iran Threat – Some Doubt…

A British General was rebuked by the US Central Command for questioning the alleged “imminent Iran threat…”

“Despite the beat of the war drum, even the US’ closest allies remain sceptical about the narrative furthered by Iran hawks in Washington like US National Security Advisor John Bolton and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. One of the doubters is British Army Major General Christopher Ghika, a deputy head of the US-led coalition created to fight the terrorist group Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS).

There’s been no increased threat from Iranian-backed forces in Iraq and Syria,’ Major General Ghika said on Tuesday during a video briefing from Iraq. ‘We’re aware of that presence, clearly. And we monitor them along with a whole range of others because that’s the environment we’re in’ .” ( rt.com)

America-Britain-Israel split coming?

The US/Britain “special relationship” at risk? The following scripture may indicate this. Also – a split between the US and Britain against Judah. Could the US peace plan, due to be revealed soon, be the catalyst?

Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah.(Isaiah 9:21)

What Could Be Behind The “Threat”?

In his farewell address back in 1961, President Dwight D Eisenhower warned the nation against the dangers posed by the increasing power of the military-industrial complex. It seems that the warning fell on deaf ears! They need confrontation and wars to justify their existence.

“The US military industrial complex has grown into a self-sustaining organism with an immune system that attacks and smothers any threat to its food supply – the taxpayers’ money… The system has evolved to be very good at defending itself – while leaving the country, ‘in reality so poorly defended,’ he writes in his latest think piece for Harper’s Magazine…” ( rt.com)

The American/German Rift Widens

US President Donald Trump ups the confrontation with Germany…

“It’s little surprise that Trump’s confrontational Middle Eastern policy has exacerbated the tensions between the US and its European allies… More than a year after taking office, Pompeo still hasn’t paid a visit to Berlin. Bolton also hasn’t seen any reason to visit Germany. And a good seven weeks have passed since Chancellor Merkel’s last phone call with Trump. When the German chancellor travels to the US next, at the end of May to give the commencement speech at Harvard University, Trump won’t have any time for her. He’ll be playing golf in Florida.” ( spiegel.de)

The “Perfect Storm” Approaches

Fighting wars on several fronts at the same time is a mistake that many national leaders have made historically.

Are events slipping out of Donald Trump’s control? Could Donald Trump be about to precipitate a worldwide recessionary shock? Donald Trump is fighting geo-economic wars on too many fronts at once. He has got away with his scattergun approach so far – with tactical retreats at key moments – but events are slipping out of his control. He has picked simultaneous quarrels with China, Europe, and Iran, and gambled on regime change in Venezuela.” ( telegraph.co.uk)

US No Longer Trusts EU As An Ally

The following article suggests that the US views Germany as a competitor, not an ally!

“Insiders claim the US President has placed less emphasis on important transatlantic security partners and instead is focused on enhancing relations with strongman and authoritarian leaders. We are seeing a possible repudiation of what made the alliance viable over 70 years.

President Trump does not believe that the EU is a valued ally. He believes that the EU is a competitor.

Germany could potentially fall victim to Mr Trump’s re-evaluation of the US’ transatlantic alliances as he looks to implement a tough trade strategy.” ( express.co.uk)

UK Under Threat

Threats against allies seem to be the order of the day. Even the “special relationship” between the US and the UK is under threat!

“US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has warned the UK that allowing Huawei to bid on 5G contracts could spell the end of the US-UK ‘special relationship’ – and, apparently, the UK’s membership in the Five Eyes. The Five Eyes is a highly secretive global intelligence network formed in the aftermath of World War II to share intelligence between Anglophone allies the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.” ( rt.com)

European Banks, Businesses

Now investors, banks and businesses in Europe warned by US official not to work with Iran. Some call this blackmail!

“A US official is warning investors, banks and businesses in Europe not to work with Iran in the wake of the United States’ unilateral pressure on Tehran. ‘If you’re a bank, an investor, an insurer or other business in Europe, you should know that getting involved in the INSTEX special purpose vehicle is a very poor business decision,’ Tim Morrison, the National Security Council’s senior director for weapons of mass destruction and biodefense, said at a Foundation for Defense of Democracies on Wednesday. Morrison made the comments after Tehran informed the five remaining signatories to the 2015 nuclear deal of its decision to suspend the implementation of some of its commitments under the multinational agreement. Morrison described the measure as ‘nothing less than nuclear blackmail of Europe,’ further threatening that those not complying with US sanctions ‘will be found and held accountable’.” ( presstv.com)

Struggle For Global Power Status

The key word in the news today appears to be – “confrontation”! Confrontation between the USA and China, Germany, Europe, Iran… and any other nation who will not follow the US lead!

“The United States is preparing sanctions against European companies participating in the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, according to senior US government officials. German government officials, on the other hand, predict that US sanctions will lead to a confrontation with the whole of the EU. ‘We will do everything necessary to complete the pipeline’.” ( german-foreign-policy.com)

Economic Doom

In many cases in recent history, trade wars have lead to “hot wars”. Trade wars can hurt both sides…

“Unless someone backs down in a major way, this trade war is going to last for a very long time… A trade war is going to hurt the US, it is going to hurt China, and it is going to hurt everyone else too. In fact, this could be what triggers the next great economic meltdown. Doing nothing about China was not an option, because they have been robbing us blind. But a cataclysmic trade war is not a good option either.” ( theeconomiccollapseblog.com)

US Consumers Should Brace For A Long, Bitter, Painful Trade War With China

“There is not going to be a trade deal between the United States and China any time soon, and that is going to mean a tremendous amount of pain for the US economy. For months, hope that the US and China would soon reach a trade deal helped to elevate global financial markets, but now that hope has disappeared. In order for a trade deal to happen, the two sides have to talk, and at this point no negotiations are scheduled. And unless one side or the other decides that they are willing to move dramatically from their current positions, there really isn’t any reason to talk. In fact, the Chinese government is openly saying that it is in ‘no rush’ to negotiate with the United States…

If Trump was willing to back way down and give the Chinese everything that they want, of course China would be more than happy to resume negotiations. But that isn’t going to happen. Instead, the Trump administration demonstrated their resolve by sailing a US Navy vessel into disputed waters in the South China Sea on Sunday. Every time we send a warship into the South China Sea, it drives China up a wall, and the Trump administration understands this very well. Such a move definitely ‘sends a message’ to China, but it also makes a trade deal much less likely.

Trump is going to continue to stand strong because he can’t afford to look weak on China with an election coming up, and the Chinese are not going to throw in the towel when they may only have to wait 18 months for Trump to be out of the picture. So for now we have a trade war to deal with, and with each passing day it is going to become increasingly painful.” ( endoftheamericandream.com)

For America – A Very Real Crisis

Just as the US instigates trade tariffs with suppliers around the world, her own food supplies are now under threat. The following article points out that only 30% of US cornfields have been planted, due to flooding in a large part of the country.

“2019 is turning out to be a nightmare that never ends for the agriculture industry. Thanks to endless rain and unprecedented flooding, fields all over the middle part of the country are absolutely soaked right now, and this has prevented many farmers from getting their crops in the ground. I knew that this was a problem, but when I heard that only 30 percent of US corn fields had been planted as of Sunday…

Unfortunately, more rain is on the way, and it looks like thousands of corn farmers will not be able to plant corn at all this year. It is no exaggeration to say that what we are facing is a true national catastrophe.( theeconomiccollapseblog.com)

The European Project Is In Big Trouble

The right wing nationalists propose to dismantle Europe from within, returning to an ill-defined but obviously much looser “Europe of nations”. This would seem to tie into Bible prophecy. The book of Revelation points to 10 kings, national groups of some kind, that give their power to the Beast.

“These [ten kings] have one mind, and they give their power and authority unto the beast.” (Revelation 17:13)

The whole of Europe is in political turmoil. Yet again, confrontation abounds!

“In France, Marine Le Pen’s Rassemblement National was polling neck and neck with Emmanuel Macron’s movement for what he calls a ‘European renaissance’.

In Spain, a far-right party called Vox, promoting the kind of reactionary nationalist ideas against which Spain’s post-Franco democracy was supposedly immunised…

Nationalist populists rule Italy, where a great-grandson of Benito Mussolini is running for the European parliament on the list of the so-called Brothers of Italy.

In Britain, the European elections on 23 May can be seen as another referendum on Brexit, but the underlying struggle is the same as that of our fellow Europeans.

Meanwhile, to mark the 30th anniversary of the velvet revolutions of 1989, Poland’s ruling Law and Justice party has denounced a charter of LGBT+ rights as an attack on children.

In Germany, the Alternative für Deutschland successfully deploys a völkisch rhetoric we thought vanquished for good, although now it scapegoats Muslims instead of Jews.

Viktor Orbán, the young revolutionary hero of 1989 turned bulldog-jowled neo-authoritarian, has effectively demolished liberal democracy in Hungary…

Orbán has summed the situation up like this: ‘Thirty years ago, we thought Europe was our future. Today, we believe we are Europe’s future.’

Italy’s Matteo Salvini agrees, so much so that he is hosting an election rally of Europe’s rightwing populist parties, an international [gathering] of nationalists, in Milan later this month. Farage merely wants to leave the EU; they propose to dismantle it from within, returning to an ill-defined but obviously much looser ‘Europe of nations’ .” ( theguardian.com)

Europe To Unite In Face Of US

One of the situations that can unite people is a common threat. As far as Europe is concerned, the US is seen as that “common threat”! The UK is also perceived as a threat, due to Brexit.

“Merkel Calls on Europe to Unite in Face of US… ‘the old certainties of the postwar order no longer apply’ expressing confidence that Europe needs to reposition itself in a changed world.” ( informationclearinghouse.info)

Get ready for the end of the EU as we know it

The confrontational approach of the US towards Europe is creating a crisis that could easily contribute to the eventual creation of the final United States of Europe – with the US as a common enemy!

“In Germany, the least guarded border is the one between mainstream political parties and the more extreme ones. We enter a period in which Europe is probably going to do some risky things in order to succeed.( dw.com)

EU leaders are waking up to their worst nightmare

The Euroskeptics want to change Europe’s political direction. What is interesting is the similarity to how God’s Church was shattered. The attack came not from the outside – but from the inside – at the very top. Are we going to see the same tactics occur in Europe?

“A decade ago, Euroskeptics were said to be dangerous because they wanted to leave the EU. Now, they are said to be dangerous because they want to stay in. ‘We want to change things from within,’ Matteo Salvini, Italy’s deputy prime minister and interior minister [has said]… ‘We are working with friends from France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Netherland, Belgium, Austria to create an alternative alliance to the Christian Democrat and Socialist duopoly that has always governed Europe’.” ( theamericanconservative.com)

Modern German Nazis Protected By Law

We have to ask if Germany has really given up its Nazi past?

“Germany is still paying war victims’ pensions to Nazi collaborators abroad, while refusing any compensation to the numerous victims of the Nazis.” ( german-foreign-policy.com)

As the following explains, the Nazi parties still have the protection of law when it comes to elections.

“Germany’s highest court ordered public broadcaster ARD to air a small neo-Nazi party’s election campaign clip, overturning a ban on the advertisement imposed on grounds that it amounted to incitement against foreigners. The Federal Constitutional Court overturned that decision, saying it infringed on the NPD’s right to campaign and put it at a disadvantage against other parties. The NPD is hoping to make gains in the European Parliament, where it has one lawmaker, in elections later this month.” ( news.trust.org)

The “Fourth Reich”

The concept of a Fourth Reich is “invoked in times of crisis” and Europe appears headed for a major crisis.

“Not since the demise of Nazi Germany have fears — and ambitions — of a so-called ‘Fourth Reich’ reached their current level of intensity… ‘The case of postwar Germany makes it clear that western fears about a Nazi return to power were far from unfounded and that the concerns about a Fourth Reich served a useful function…’ The concept of a Fourth Reich, wrote Rosenfeld, is ‘invoked in times of crisis and [fades] in times of stability’.( timesofisrael.com)

“The Undead Ghosts Of European And German History”

“‘Think of Europe today as an unexploded bomb, its detonator intact and functional, its explosives still live.’ It’s a troubling choice of metaphor, because it questions the reality of homegrown change and agency in postwar Europe.

If America leaves, the jungle returns. And, with it, the undead ghosts of European and German history.( brookings.edu)

What Happens Next In Europe?

In the UK, the European elections will be held on the 23 May. The rest of Europe has until Sunday, May 26, so the UK results will not be announced until all the votes have been counted and revealed.

Meanwhile, in the UK press, a latest Brexit headline is…

“May booted out by Sunday in Tory coup - Deal is ‘DESPERATE, DELUDED & DEAD’” ( express.co.uk)

In the next few days, we could see major changes, both in the UK and Europe. Endtime events march on…

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.(Luke 21:36)
