Imagine A World Where The Fruits Of The Spirit Are The Norm

by Jon Bowles
9th October 2014 - Feast of Tabernacles

I have had an email from Mr Henderson, he says; "All arrived safely, and the first evening went very well. Just after most were back in the cottages, we had a terrific storm with thunder and lightning and a fair amount of Welsh sunshine, which went on for much of the night."

Incidentally, I had an email from Mr Philip Henderson who was doing the recording, and everything else as well last evening. Apparently the power went off for about two seconds. The mercury trip switch, they blow and then re-congeal. But apparently you couldn’t even hear any difference at all in the recording, which is quite amazing.

"A fair amount of Welsh sunshine went on for much of the night, several power-cuts, and the car burglar alarm went off at twelve midnight, just to add to a bit more fun. Prayers for a bit more gentle weather would be appreciated. But please pass our greetings on to all the brethren there. Wishing you a great Feast. Mr Ian Henderson"

I haven’t actually emailed him back, but I'll just pass the message back to have a great Feast from Kentucky. Everybody is enjoying themselves so much over here. In fact quietening everybody down is the difficulty, people have all this pent up amount of conversation they need to get out of their system. The noise is quite deafening. Which it should be, it really should be. I am not complaining at all. That is exactly what should be the case. We should enjoy one another’s company, and enjoy talking with one another. The services are certainly the time to fellowship before and after service. This is certainly the time we should be doing so.

Last night I talked about how you and I will be having to get up here and give the opening night address at the Feast of Tabernacles in probably not to many years from now. What will we actually be discussing? What in fact, will we actually be saying at that time? It is really two ways of life, the 'Two Trees.' Those two ways of life, one of them leads to the tribulation, which people will have just gone through, and the other one leads to utopia.

It is tied into the very Spirit of God. It is tied into the tree of life. In fact, as I mentioned last night, our minds are designed in a certain way. They have been made in a certain way. They have been made to require an additional spirit, not just the spirit in man. It is another spirit that is bound to that spirit. Unfortunately that spirit, that tree of life, has been rejected by mankind right from the garden of Eden on. Therefore, Satan’s spirit has the ready acceptance, or connection point - let's put it that way.

It mentions in Revelation, how "...The kingdoms of this [age, or this] world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ..." (Revelation 11:15), when Christ returns, when the last trump is sounded. Does it actually happen there? Do they switch across? The kingdom, yes. The kingdom is now dominant. The kingdom of God is dominant. Did the Millennium just suddenly happen? Did it suddenly happen at that stage?

Well Satan is still around. Satan is still active at that time. It is not until you get the putting away of Satan and the attitude of mind, and the pouring out of God’s Spirit on the world, that you have the change, the real changes, that can begin to take place. And so it is that Spirit of God, that tree of life in position, the re-attachment to the human brain of that Spirit of God. The spirit of the tree of life, that makes all the difference.

Let’s just go back to the scripture that Mr. Grace used. Let’s go back to Isaiah 11. What I would like to do, is not pick it up where he did, not specifically. We will read that in a little while. Let’s read verse one, because verse one really sets the tone as to why these things occurred. Isaiah 11:1:

"And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And [notice what it says in verse two] the spirit of the [Eternal] shall rest upon him [this is what is going to make the difference], the spirit of wisdom and understanding [it makes a difference with Jesus Christ Himself, it allows Him to deal with things in His way. Because when He was here, He was God in the flesh. He is very God, His Spirit is the Spirit of God, quite frankly], the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the [Eternal];" (Isaiah 11:1-2)

All these spiritual qualities are the things that we will get across. It is the spiritual qualities and the pouring out of God’s Spirit that makes all the incredible difference that will occur in the world. The difference as it says in Isaiah 11:3:

"And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the [Eternal]: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears [it is going to be a different kind of government involved in this particular instance]: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins [then it goes into another change which has been brought out by the sermonette]. The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb..." (Isaiah 11:3-6)

What actually is causing that? What is actually causing the kind of attitude of mind, the frame of mind of the carnivore? Yes, even to the point of development of the actual change of their function, the actual animal’s physiology as well itself. It seems as if there is some kind of spiritual connection there. It is something underlying, which is spiritual and it is going to have to change. Once that changes then even the very physiology of the animals, the animal world will change. That is the indication.

What will the tiger look like that digests straw? What is the size and the girth of the animal? Will it change the girth of the animal? Or will it be used for carrion? You can’t have animals dying all over the place, and just rotting in the field, you are going to have to have something that deals with carrion in that sense. Will these animals that were once carnivores be dealing with the carrion? Will they actually be disposing of them? If they don’t have enough carrion to deal with, will they be eating straw to tide them over?

There are many unanswered questions. But the fact is that the spirit, that will be giving Christ the understanding, the wisdom, the council, and allow Him to govern the earth, in the way in which He is going to be governing the earth, because mankind will be plugged into that same spirit; will also change the very nature and character of animals as well. There will be a change, and there will be an imposition of God’s Spirit on the entire earth that will do that.

Now if we turn over to Galatians, chapter 5, you find the change that will take place, not just in the case of the animals, not just in the case of the government, but in the case of man as well. Here in Galatians 5:16:

"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." (Galatians 5:16)

Now you and I have a great advantage, to be able to go ahead and have access to that other Spirit. As I said last night, it is essential that we get on our knees each day, and we pray, and plug ourselves into the vine. Then we will have the Feast that we need to have here in Kentucky. Same with you in Pwllheli, ensure that you get on your knees. Also if there are any listening down in Nigeria, Owerri, or in South Africa, near Johannesburg. You need to make sure you get on your knees to have the kind of Feast that you need. All the others that listen to my words later, that are being recorded. Here in Galatians 5:16 it says: "...Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16). Now that’s a promise. That is what it says, if you walk in the Spirit, you won’t fulfill the lusts of the flesh. You will be able to control that direction, that direction the entire world is going in. Galatians 5:17:

"For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would." (Galatians 5:17)

In other words, if you are tuned into the wrong spirit, you can’t do those kind of things. If you are tuned into the right spirit, you will flow down the river bed of God’s Law, as Mr. Armstrong continually said, that’s the river bed. Galatians 5:18:

"But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law [you are not under the penalty of the law, because the law would be kept, it's the river bed of God’s law that the Spirit flows down]. Now the works of the flesh [however] are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies [a pretty assorted bunch], Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."(Galatians 5:18-21)

Because the Kingdom of God is going to have the Spirit of God there. The river bed of God’s law is the river bed down which that Spirit will flow. Galatians 5:22:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23)

Now what I want to do today is I want for all of us to imagine, for the time of the sermon, a world where these qualities, the fruit of the Spirit are evident. Not just in an individual, not just within the Church, not just here at the Feast, but across the entirety of the world, the entirety of the earth. Imagine what it would be like.

Can we really imagine? It was Mr. Henderson actually, who went and asked Mr. Armstrong. He said, "What do you mean that we’re not getting it? What is it that we’re not getting?" Mr. Armstrong came into vet some photographs. In the Bible Study the night before, he had said, "You are not getting it. You’re not understanding what I’m talking about." He was talking about the Two Trees. "What is it we’re not getting?"

Mr. Armstrong said, he actually picked up a photograph and said, "Look, there is silver involved on the production of these photographs. Now the mining of that silver is being done in a certain way. The mining of that silver is to maximize profit. Mining of that silver is to get away with as much as you can get away with as far as pollution is concerned. The attitude of mind is wrong. He said, this applies across the board in every single facet of existence. This is what we are not getting. We don’t get, we don't understand the breadth involved of what we are involved with. That’s what we don’t get. We just do not understand how different this world is going to be."

What I would like to do today, is just imagine a world where this fruit is the norm; love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance - the norm.

Whenever you go in a shop, whenever you deal with somebody, your next door neighbours, your attitude of mind when dealing with somebody, because Satan’s mindset will have gone. Satan’s mindset will have gone. The actual spirit will have gone, the habitual mindset will still be there, but it will only be there for a certain length of time. Until the end of the Millennium when he will be released for a little season, and all of a sudden we will see that mindset again. People who have lived throughout the Millennium will see that mindset again, to ram the lesson home.

Just imagine a world, and this is the norm. Where these qualities that flow from a spiritual perspective for perfection. To be honest with you, we can’t do it because we have lived in this world for so long. But we will try, let’s give it a whirl.

Love (PLAY FROM 14:04)

First of all let’s look at the subject of love, let’s turn over to Romans 12:17, here Paul mentions:

"Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men." (Romans 12:17)

We could probably give an entire sermon on that one verse. Honest in the sight of all men. So when you go into a shop you not going to get ripped off. When you have a business dealing, that’s not the way it’s going to be.

"If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, [within your control, it really means] live peaceably with all men." (Romans 12:18)

There will be no war. There will be no threat of war. We will be living peaceably. Why? Because the Spirit is there. It is the Spirit that produces peace.

"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath [so not only is it not avenging yourself on an individual level, but avenging yourself on a national level. This is agape love, agape is a character, the character is going to be extended throughout the entirety of society]: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the [Eternal]." (Romans 12:19)

So we get the centre right. If there is any vengeance needed, it is not us that does it. It is not a nation that does it. It is Jesus Christ who does it. He will reprove with equity, the nations of the earth. It is that reproving with equity and human beings will leave that to Him. Can you imagine a world where that’s the case? You don’t get somebody go around with a gun and shoot the neighbour dead, or whatever else nasty to them to get their own back.

"Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head [now coals of fire on his head causes him not to be an enemy anymore, that is basically what is happening, you can’t continually be an enemy to somebody who doesn’t react in the same way]. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:20-21)

Here in Romans 13:8 it says:

"Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law." (Romans 13:8)

Has filled the law to the brim, if you really do apply this love, this agape love. It fills the law to the brim. As it says, the Spirit of God flows down the river bed of God’s law.

It has been so trashed within the world, the word 'love', what is it talking about? Well, you love God with heart, soul and might. The right centre is placed in place, and you love your neighbour as yourself. On those two commands hang all the law and the prophets. That is what we are talking about. That is that first quality. It flows naturally from the Spirit of God, because that is the mind of God. That is how God thinks. That is the Spirit that is going to be there in the Millennium. It is the spiritual qualities that will actually cause the physical result. It is a spiritual quality that is at the base of it. This quality above all qualities.

"Owe no man any thing, but to love one another [to have the right kind of approach, the Godly approach to one another]: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law [he has fulfilled the second part of it anyway]. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." (Romans 13:8-10)

Fulfilling means the filling to the full, it’s cramming it full. If we have that Spirit, and the qualities that flow from that.

This spiritual law was given to ancient Israel, if you turn back to Leviticus 19. We think about the two commandments on which rest all the law and the prophets; loving God with heart, soul and might and your neighbour as yourself. Remember those actually came from the Torah, they came from the first five Books of the Bible. Here is one of them in Leviticus 19:9: it says:

"And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest. And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the [Eternal] your God [what are you doing? You're loving your neighbour as yourself, it is translated into practicalities, even within the land you are looking at this], You shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another." (Leviticus 19:9-11)

What are you doing? You are loving your neighbour as yourself. If that is flowing from the literal spirit, that the mind of man is plugged into has changed. Imagine a world where that is the case. Where this is the natural reaction, not to steal, not to deal falsely, not to lie one to another. A natural reaction because it is coming from the right spirit, because the spirit has changed.

"And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the [Eternal]." (Leviticus 19:12)

Christ said, "...let your yes be yes and your no be no, because more than that is from the evil one." (Matthew 5:37 paraphrased)

"Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning." (Leviticus 19:13)

You pay a good day’s wage for a good day’s work. That is the norm. Imagine a world where that is the case. Flowing from a spiritual perspective.

"Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the [Eternal]. Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour. Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the [Eternal]." (Leviticus 19:14-16)

There will be no gossip. Imagine that? No television with the soap operas the way they are. It is a different world. The change is astounding. It's coming from a spiritual basis. It's not just a minor change. It's not just tweaking a few things here and there. It is a fundamental change with the very spirit to which every single mind is plugged into. That is what we are looking at. The removal of the Satanic spirit and the broadcast, and the making available of the tree of life is going to have a profound change, a profound change.

"Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the [Eternal]." (Leviticus 19:17-18)

That is the "...second great commandment which is like unto the first, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself [which Christ zeroed in on]. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." (Matthew 22:39-40 paraphrased)

Turn back to Exodus 23. Again see the operation, remember, it mentions that you do good to your neighbour, reading back in Romans "...overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21). Well here is the actual spiritual law for that in graphic terms here in Exodus 23:4:

"If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again." (Exodus 23:4)

This is a spiritual law. Did they do it? Guarantee they didn’t. If they did, they did it in such a way that they still got their own back on their enemy. You know, bring it back to him again, but charge him a thousand dollars for doing it, that kind of thing. When the spirit changes, when the spirit is different from the one the human mind is plugged into, this will be the norm. What does that do? Well it stops enemies. It stops enemies. You don’t have enemies.

"If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him." (Exodus 23:5)

If you see a problem, you have got to go out there and help. What happens? Him that hates you no longer hates you. It changes the very structure of society. That is what we are looking at. You see how just this one thing, from the spirit of Satan to the spirit of God, will profoundly effect everything that you find in this society, even to the point of the animals. It is that spiritual change. It is not the meaningless kind of airy, fairy subject. It is meaningful. It is full of huge meaning.

Joy (PLAY FROM 24:46)

Now we come to the second category, joy: love, joy, peace. We come to the second category of joy. Remember that you and I are going to be resurrected. Turn over to Malachi 4, there is a scripture here in Malachi which on the surface looks very ordinary, but underneath it is filled with meaning.

"For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the [Eternal] of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch." (Malachi 4:1)

This is coming right after the fact that you will "...return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not." (Malachi 3:18)

"But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness [so the Sun, comes and burns up the wicked, but the Sun of righteousness is different to those who have become spirit beings] arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall." (Malachi 4:2)

Now that is badly translated, I personally feel. Because you are not going to grow up, and get fat and indolent, which is the inference there. If you have kept animals at all, if you have kept calves in a stall all winter, because that’s when you stall them. You have them out in the field in the summertime. They go and eat the grass, they get big, you sell them and make some money out of them. You put them in the stall over winter. Then what happens? It says: "...and ye shall go forth... [so you open the gate and let them out again. It then says]: ...and grow up..." (Malachi 4:2). Let’s retranslate that, leap around, leap up. This is exactly what happens. When a calf comes out of the stall after all winter, it absolutely goes bananas with joy!

It is downright dangerous, quite frankly. These calves, I’m not talking about a little calf, we’re talking about something a year to eighteen months old. A bull calf could be half a ton. You get half a ton bounding around like a lamb and you get in the way of it and you really have some problems.

I remember one time when driving down this road to this farm, and the farmer was coming in the opposite direction backwards with his arms outstretched trying to keep these calves under control, until he got them at least to the gate. And they finally got in the gate and they just went absolutely berserk, kicking their legs up, and jumping around, and over the moon with joy. That is what you and I will be like when we finally make it into the Kingdom of God.

Now that joy is infectious. It is infectious to the people we will be training. Remember, they will have the Spirit of God. Therefore the joy that we have will be shared. It will not just be ourselves that have it.

Turn over to Isaiah 35, and let’s just have a look at a few scriptures over in Isaiah. What we would do without the book of Isaiah when we talk about the Millennium, I have no idea. Isaiah 35, let's look at a few scriptures about the joy. It says in verse one:

"The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel [mountainous area] and Sharon [plains region], they shall see the glory of the [Eternal], and the excellency of our God. (Isaiah 35:1-2)

Down in verse 10: "And the ransomed of the [Eternal] shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away." (Isaiah 35:10)

That will be infectious throughout the Millennium, because as I say, the spirit will have changed. So what they see as spirit beings, as calves released from the stall, it will fill this society. Turn over to Isaiah 51. We will just look at a few scriptures in Isaiah. Isaiah 51:3:

"For the Eternal shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the [Eternal]; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody." (Isaiah 51:3)

That will be the norm, for the spirit beings, but it will also be the norm for the people as well, and then verse 11: " Therefore the redeemed of the [Eternal] shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away." (Isaiah 51:11)

As I say, it will be infectious. It will be infectious particularly because the same spirit will be there within the individuals, and it is a spiritual thing. A spiritual basis that we are looking at. The fruit of the spirit, these qualities will be there as the natural outflowing from the Spirit of God. And in Isaiah 61:1

"The Spirit of the Lord [Eternal] is upon me; because the [Eternal] hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the [Eternal], that he might be glorified." (Isaiah 61:1-3)

And over in verse seven: "For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them." (Isaish 61:7)

Both in the spirit beings, and also in the human beings as well. This joy will be there. It will be an outflowing of the very spirit of God. Over in Isaiah 65:17 - again, what is the destination? The destination is for the entirety of mankind to live in joy.

"For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying." (Isaiah 65:17-19)

The entire earth will be reflecting this. It is a river bed of God’s law. It is the fruit, the product, of the very thinking of God. God is filled with joy. He is absolutely filled to the brim, overflowing. Remember, Mr Armstrong always used to talk about how to hunger and thirst after God’s righteousness. His take on God’s righteousness wasn’t just doing right things. It was the abundance and the joy that was involved. It was the result of doing right things, the spiritual qualities that were there. That is what we will have, and we will have it across the board for the entirety of this earth. The final scripture in this section, Isaiah 66:10:

"Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: (Isaiah 66:10)

Now in verse 13: "As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the [Eternal] shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies." (Isaiah 66:13-14)

It will be a time of joy for the people of God, for you and for me. We will be like calves released from the stall. But that joy will be infectious. It will have a ready seed bed of the infection, because that seed bed will be minds that are plugged into a different spirit. That different spirit is going to make all the difference.

The fruit of the spirit, the qualities that are involved as mentioned over in Galatians, that will be the norm. That will be the norm. The transformation that will take place is going to be astounding.

Peace (PLAY FROM 34:16)

Now when we come to the third one, peace. The word being used there is 'eirene'{1}, which means that one are joined together. It carries overtones of the Hebrew word Shalom, which means an abundance.

Turn over to Philippians 4; again, here it is talking about the peace that is necessary within the Church. Here in Philippians 4, what I want to do is take this concept that we find given by Paul, as peace in the Church, and apply it on a global scale, to the entirety of the world. First of all the entirety of the nation of Israel. The nation of Judah initially and then the nation of Israel, and then the nations round about Israel, Syria and Egypt, my people it talks about. Then it goes from there out to the entirety of the world. Here in Philippians 4:6 it says:

"Be careful [be over anxious] for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." (Philippians 4:6)

Now we do that on a daily basis. We get on our knees on a daily basis. We will be encouraging those that we are teaching to do exactly the same. Why? Because that is how they get the Spirit of God. That is how the qualities we are talking about, the love, joy, peace, longsuffering and so on, will be there.

" prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 7)

So this anxiety for nothing. You have a world that is not anxious. Everybody is anxious in this society. We are made to be anxious by the advertising profession, and by everything else. By the governmental profession and every other profession, we are made to be anxious. But there is going to be a world that won’t. There will be a spirit that is different, and that spirit is going to make the difference. A world that is based on the very fruit of that spirit. The product that comes from that spirit, and one of them is going to be peace.

Turn over to Isaiah 9:6 There is a lot of Isaiah in this sermon today.

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of [Shalom]." (Isaiah 9:6)

Jerusalem, Yerushalem, that’s what it is, the City of Peace. This is why there is so much war around Jerusalem today. There is so much war because Satan detests the idea of what will actually come out of that area.

"Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the [Eternal] of hosts will perform this." (Isaiah 9:7)

The increase of his government, this Prince of Peace, there will be absolutely no end. If you go over to Isaiah 32:1:

"Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. (Isaiah 32:1) And in verse 17 it says: "And the work of righteousness shall be peace [again, spiritual qualities flowing from a spirit that is in mankind]; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;" (Isaiah 32:17-18)

Why? Because everybody around them will have the same spirit. They will have the same spirit. The same spirit will produce that work of righteousness. And this is going to be contrasted, in Isaiah 33:7, just upon the other side of the page here, verse seven, notice:

"Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly." (Isaiah 33:7)

There will have been a way, that they had in the past which has produced the tribulation. That way will have produced the tribulation. The ambassadors of peace will weep bitterly. How can you get peace with ISIL? How do you make peace like that? You have got to change the very foundation of the mind. The mind has got to be changed. Yes, you need absolute power, but absolute power by itself is not going to be enough. That is not going to make peace. That is just going to crush people. You can have absolute power now and crush people.

Hitler would have loved to have absolute power and create a world with the third Reich, as he wanted to see it. That is not the answer. The answer is a change in spirit. With that change in spirit, the ambassadors of peace will have peace with ISIL, because ISIL will not be ISIL anymore. It won’t be there. And chapter 54 is something that we as parents and grandparents certainly long for: Isaiah 54:10:

"For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the [Eternal] that hath mercy on thee. O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the [Eternal - and what will be the result of that?]; and great shall be the peace of thy children." (Isaiah 54:10-13)

Children, grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. That is what we look forward too. But to have that you have got to have the change in spirit. It is that change in spirit. Our human mind has been designed to be plugged into another spirit. That spirit to which we have been designed to be plugged into is the Spirit of God. It is the tree of life.

But it was sidetracked, and the restitution of all things is to go back to that time, back to that spirit. That is what is going to happen. That is what is going to produce the utopia. That is the fundamental difference. The result of that will then be fruit in the people that are plugged into the Vine; people that plug into the vine progressively. The fruit will therefore be produced. What is the fruit? Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, faith and temperance.

Longsuffering (PLAY FROM 41:58)

So let’s have a look at longsuffering. Now the word 'longsuffering' is probably better translated as 'long passion'. It is not just suffering and grinning and bearing it.

I always remember Ranulph Fiennes. I don’t know whether you remember Ranulph Fiennes, a British explorer. He used to go on all these crazy expeditions dragging his pack through the ice and the frozen tundra and all this kind of thing, walking hundreds of miles in freezing cold. I think he has lost so many fingers to frost-bite and parts of ears, and nose and all this kind of thing over the course of the years. He is a mountain climber. That is what he does for a living. He made the comment: How do you do this? What is the mentality that you have? He said, “Well when I am climbing a mountain and doing all these physical endurance tests, I tell myself that I’m going to be able to do this forever.” There is never going to be a time when you stop, you keep doing it forever. That’s how he does it. That’s how he steels himself - long passion.

God really has long passion for His way of life. He has long passion for His plan. This long passion is going to be transferred. The actual word longsuffering is different from the patience of the fisherman. Basically the fisherman just sits there and waits. But long passion means you have more actual passion for what you’re doing. Hebrews, chapter 6 - there is an individual here who had long passion, who stuck with it through thick and thin. It is an example for all of us. He is going to be there in the future. In Hebrews 6:13, it says:

"For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise [he obtained the initial part of the promise, in other words he had a son, but what age was he? He was pushing a hundred, he was a hundred years old when he had a son]. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation [or encouragement], who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec." (Hebrews 6:13-20)

But it is a case that he patiently endured. He had longsuffering. He had long passion. He hung onto God’s promise. If you turn over a couple of pages to Hebrews 11:

"These all died in faith, [verse 13, including Abraham] not having received the promises [you see, Abraham was going to have, not only just one son, he was going to be a multitude of nations, and he never received that; he never saw that, all he saw was his one son. He had the assurance that, that was going to take place], but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country." (Hebrews 11:13-14)

They are looking for something in the future. That is the case. They are looking for something in the future. Abraham was looking for something in the future. His long passion went beyond the grave. It goes right the way down.

If we turn over to Ezekiel 37. Remember the qualities that Abraham had. Abraham is going to be there. Abraham is going to pass on those qualities. He is going to pass on the administration using those qualities. They are going to be like joy, they are going to be infectious. The long passion for the Plan of God and the Promises of God, and the need to get things done. The need to have the homes prepared. The need to have an entire infrastructure ready for The Last Great Day. What will happen on The Last Great Day? In Ezekiel 37:11 it says:

"Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel..." (Ezekiel 37:11)

We are looking at The Last Great Day now, that The Great White Throne Judgment. I can imagine Christ being with Abraham at the point where Israel, the tribes of Israel will be resurrected. Can you imagine that? The long passion, five thousand years later, after the promise was given. The long passion was a long passion for God’s Plan. Ezekiel 37:11

"...behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord [Eternal]; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the [Eternal], when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the [Eternal] have spoken it, and performed it, saith the [Eternal].

He has long passion. Christ has long passion. Abraham will have long passion. That is going to be infectious. The people that first opening night, that you will get up here and you will give. You will have to pass on to the people the two different ways of life. You also are going to have to start passing on to them the passion involved. They are going to have to hold that passion through for a thousand years, getting the place ready for the Last Great Day, for the hundred year period.

Again, where is it going to come from? It is coming from this spiritual change. It is coming from this change of the spirit. What does that do? Well, that gives the fruit of that spirit if they are plugged into the vine, and keep on their knees, then the fruit of that spirit will be the kind of things we are looking at. Longsuffering or long passion is certainly one of them.

Gentleness (PLAY FROM 49:16)

Gentleness, again better translated as usefulness, or gentlemanly-ness. Go back to Isaiah 58, an unusual scripture I suppose for this, it is doing what is needed. If you see a need in something, then it is doing what is necessary to fulfill that need. This is the gentlemanly-ness or usefulness. It is Strong’s number 5543, for those who like to check it over in Strong’s. That’s the Greek 5543. Isaiah 58:6:

"Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?" (Isaiah 58:6)

Now we have got to fast to get close to God. In the future, you question whether in fact human beings are going to need to fast in the same way. The indication that even the Day of Atonement, the fast of the seventh month, is going to be a thing of the past. I know many children will be very pleased about that. Many adults will be very pleased about that. That seems to be the case. It is going to be turned into a Feast day. Now it is speculative to some degree, but it certainly seems to be the case.

Nevertheless, what’s the purpose of the fast? The fast is to get close to God. The purpose of the fast is so that we look at ourself in the right way. Having looked at ourself in the right way, we therefore can approach God in the right way, with the right relationship between the two. That is what a fast is all about. What is the fast for? Isaiah 58:6:

"Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens [to become useful spiritually in other words], and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Isn’t it to deal your bread to the hungry? (Isaiah 58:6-7)

That will be the norm. That quality of mind, this usefulness, this gentlemanly-ness, this furnishing what is needed, providing what is needed. We are on the lookout for other people. The whole nation, everybody plugged into that vine. Everybody plugged into the very tree of life, the Holy Spirit, will have this frame of mind if they are plugged in. That is what we are going to have to encourage. That is what we are going to have to be teaching. We have to be teaching people they have got to be plugged in.

"Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh [families are bound together]? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the [Eternal] shall be thy [rearguard]. Then shalt thou call, and the [Eternal] shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:" (Isaiah 58:7-10)

This will be the case, the norm when the Spirit of God is there. The norm, this usefulness, this gentlemanly-ness that will be what it will be, within the world. Where a need is needed, it will be provided.

Goodness (PLAY FROM 52:58)

Again, it is tied up with the next one which is goodness. This is obeying God’s ways. Doing things by God’s direction. Over in Ephesians chapter 5 - as I say, these things apply to us today on an individual basis. It will apply in the future on an individual basis, because the Spirit of God will be poured out on all flesh. Then the entire world, all the nations, will be having these same spiritual qualities. Here in Ephesians 5:1; it says:

"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;" (Ephesians 5:1)

God’s mindset is a certain mindset, and that is what we need. We need the same mindset. It is not just us that needs that mindset, it is the people we will be training and teaching have that mindset as well, coming from that same Spirit.

"And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not [fitting]: but rather giving of thanks." (Ephesians 5:2-4)

Imagine going into a bar and hearing conversation - will we have a bar? I don’t think we will have a bar. A pub? Yes, maybe we will have a pub. But no, a pub is different. Bars over here are pretty raunchy, quite frankly, the experiences I've seen of bars. But when we are looking at pubs, you can have country pubs, which you go and have a meal, and can have a drink with your meal. Some of the pubs are spit and sawdust kind of pubs, are a different matter, much like your bars.

"Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not [fitting]: but rather giving of thanks [that will be the norm, that will be the norm, across the board. Can you imagine a world like that?], For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience [God is going to sort out the problem, Christ will indeed make His right, clearly understood]. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:" (Ephesians 5:4-8)

You will be saying these things to these individuals, and the Spirit will guide. What will that Spirit guide?

"(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)(Ephesians 5:9)

This word 'goodness' is the same one used over in Galatians 5. goodness, righteousness and truth, obeying God’s ways, going God's ways. "Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them [we are looking at the fruit of the Spirit. As it says here: for the fruit of the spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. It is also love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance]. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret." (Ephesians 5:9-12)

What does it mean, how does it translate? Well we see in the preceding chapter, Ephesians 4:22:

"That ye put off concerning the former [conduct] the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;"(Ephesians 4:22)

The old society that is corrupt according to deceitful lusts. The entire society changed. The old world, the old globe, that is what you are looking at. So this is going to be expanded. Paul is dealing with the Church, as individuals within the Church. What I am talking about is applying that now to an entire world, how it applies and magnifies up.

"And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." (Ephesians 4:23-24)

The entire earth created in righteousness and true holiness. Can you imagine a world like that? We cannot even imagine it. I can’t, not really. Yes, I know kind of by the hearing of ear, but I am hoping that my eyes will then be able to see it. It is when your eyes see it, that it will really sink in.

"Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another [it applies to us individually, it applies to us as a Church, but it will apply as a world, as an entire globe in the future]. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath [between husbands and wives, we won’t have the problems]: Neither give place to the devil." (Ephesians 4:25-27)

The devil won’t be there. The devil won’t be there and the attitude of mind won’t be broadcast. It will be a different spirit. That is why this can be applied globally.

"Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth." (Ephesians 4:28)

What are they giving to them that needs? What is going to be needed? The Great White Throne Judgment is going to be needed. At the end of the Millennium, they are going to have to have housing, they are going to have to have clothing, they are going to have food, they are going to have to have growing food. The entire operation is going to be working towards that end.

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption [that Spirit will be available globally, it will be available to all]. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." (Ephesians 4:29-32)

Applied globally. The entire earth. We virtually cannot even imagine it because we have lived in this world so long. We cannot really imagine it, but it will be. It will come.

The thing that should give us great hope is the children, the grandchildren that we’ve got. Nine months before they are born they were a sperm and an egg. You have two half cells because they only have a half compliment of DNA. Two half cells joined together, then start to grow and become a child. That is a miracle. I don’t care how you slice it, it is a miracle.

That miracle is a type of what our spiritual change and transformation is. This Creator God who designed that, who actually made that has also designed, and made the process that we will convert from a physical into a spirit being. It is not just us in the church. We in the church are being converted and changed now so that we can then be assistants and the teachers of the future. They then will be taught to be assistants and the teachers of those that come up in the Great White Throne Judgment. It is an incredible plan.

The basis, the thing that will change when Christ returns, is the spirit, a totally different spirit, a completely different approach. And therefore a totally different fruit, if we can get them to plug into the vine that will produce the necessary fruit for the millennial rule.

Faith (PLAY FROM 1:01:29)

Part of that fruit is not only gentlemanly-ness and goodness, but it is also faith. Turn over to Acts, chapter 3. You see, had Adam taken of the tree of life, this would be part of the fruit of that tree of life. Faith would mean that God would work things out for him. It is going to be again, a restoration. Over in Acts 3:19 it says:

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things..." (Acts 3:19-21)

That is what is going to take place. The spirit which was intended to be joined with the spirit of man, which is God’s Spirit will be there and made available. Satan’s spirit will be removed. That forms the basis of the restitution of all things.

It is interesting, the passage that this is actually taking place around this statement. There is this individual who was lame, who was asking for alms in Acts 3:3 as Peter and John went to the temple. "Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee..." (Acts 3:6). He goes ahead and gives him, and he gets up and walks and leaps around. Part of the faith that is going to be there in the future, is going to be in healing. Notice what it says in Acts 3:14:

"But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. And his name [His authority - the authority of Christ now] through faith in his name [so Peter and John had the faith in His name, faith in the government, and faith in the authority] hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him..." (Acts 3:14-16)

Now that is different again. You have faith in His name, faith in the authority, but the thing that does the healing is the faith that is by Him. It is the faith that comes from Him through the Spirit of God. So what we are going to have as far as the fruit of the spirit, being faith, is the healing as well. It’s the healing. Acts 3:16:

"...the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all." (Acts 3:16)

That is what healed him. That is what cured him. That is what made the remarkable change. This will produce the remarkable change that will take place in the future. Turn to Isaiah 35:3:

"Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped." (Isaiah 35:3-5)

I have problem with my hearing. In fact I went down to the doctors and had my bit of wax washed out. Last time I did that, they had one of these great big syringes. They don’t do that anymore, they have a more sophisticated water jet that washes it out. But the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

"Then shall the lame man leap as an hart [where is that going to come from? It’s faith. His faith has made that perfect soundness in that man. It is the faith OF Christ, not the faith in Christ. Faith in Christ, allowed the faith OF Christ to act. It is the faith that flows from the Spirit of God. It is this faith we are talking about. It is the harvest, the fruit that was necessary], and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert." (Isaiah 35:6)

If we turn over to Romans, chapter 4, the One who is the example of the giver of faith will actually be there. Just as joy is infectious, so is faith going to be infectious. So it is longsuffering, or long passion that is there. In verse eighteen of Romans 4:

"Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be [we saw the fact that it will actually come to pass in fullness, five thousand years later, five thousand years after the promise]. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God." (Romans 4:18-20)

All we have to do is look at the creation of a youngster, a baby, it is an astounding process. It is a direct picture of the spirit creation that is going on in each and every one of us. It will be the direct picture of the spirit creation that will go on through the entire nations in the future.

"And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our [total] justification." (Romans 4:21-25)

Now that also we will have to get across to these people. We will be spirit beings, and they will then be able to become spirit beings. These qualities, these fruit of the Spirit, the fruit that proceeds from the Tree of Life will in fact be extent across the entire earth at that time.

Meekness (PLAY FROM 1:08:35)

Meekness, go back to Isaiah 11 again. I want to just point something out that we read just a few moments ago at the beginning of the sermon. Here in Isaiah 11, I want you to notice something here. Remember what meekness means. It means teachable-ness. It says:

"And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the [Eternal] shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the [Eternal; so this spirit is going to be poured out on all flesh, it will be exhibited in the case of Christ to the nth degree] And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the [Eternal]: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor [I want you to notice this], and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth [that is the direction, it is for the teachable, for the students, for the ones that will learn]: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked." (Isaiah 11:1-4)

So He will get rid of the wicked. The ones that will be left, the ones that will be delivered into our charge, delivered into our care, those individuals will be the teachable. The ones that can be taught, and they will be pointed in the direction to go. They will have the teachable mindset that comes from the Spirit of God, because that is the pirit we need to be plugged into. We see it again in Isaiah 2, the very nations themselves are going to then be teachable. Isaiah 2:1:

"The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the [Eternal's] house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all [notice, ALL nations] nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain [the government] of the [Eternal], to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Eternal from Jerusalem [Zion is the Church, that is you and I who will be teaching at that time, teaching to a ready mind]. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." (Isaiah 2:1-4)

Why should they do that? Because the Spirit has changed.

Temperance (PLAY FROM 1:11:54)

The final point, temperance. Turn over to I Peter 4:3:

"For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries [not only have you and I walked in that in the past, but the people we will be training and teaching will have walked in that in the past, they too, will need to be encouraged to be temperate, and not to go to the same excesses, therefore it says here]: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:" (I Peter 4:3-4)

So in I Peter it is talking to us as individuals. But this is the world we are talking about. The entire earth that is not going to run to the same excess. It is not going to go and just tumble into the kind of excesses we see within society today. They will leave that behind. Turn back to James 1:26 it says:

"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain." (James 1:26)

So the bridling of the tongue is essential. As it says in verse 16

"Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:" (James 1:16-19)

Can you imagine a world like that? A world that is swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; temperate in the use of the tongue. The use of the tongue stirs up the problems that we see in this world.

ISIL, how do people get into that particular organization? Through the internet. Through somebody’s use of the tongue that actually recruits members - ISIL.

How did Hitler do? I remember my mother, she used to work as a governess in somebody’s home. He was a Professor at Cambridge University. Also in that home was a lady called, Rosalyn I think. She was the cook. She was German. Just before the Second World War started, or as the Second World War started, she had to go back to Germany. She told my mother, that she worshiped Hitler because of the good that he did. He did. He did incredible good for Germany, but his entire direction of mind was going in an alien direction. It was going in a Satanic direction.

It is the same with every single despot, every single movement, everything we find in this world. It is the tongue. Hitler’s oratory was remarkable. It was the tongue that was used. So, once that tongue gets sorted out - where do the words come from? It is from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. It comes from the heart.

If that heart gets changed, and the pouring out of the Spirit of God is on all flesh is what will change it, then the tongue gets changed. If the tongue gets changed, then the fruit can flow. Temperance is one of those. You know, you aren’t going to be bamboozled by foolish words.

"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every nation be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath." (James 1:19)

Every nation, the entire globe be that way.

"For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God [it is the righteousness of God that we are looking for]. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls." (James 1:20-21)

In James 3:2 it says:

"For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body [verse 8] But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison." (James 3:2;8)

A man cannot tame the tongue, but God can if the spirit is changed and the fruit of the Spirit is a certain degree of temperance, and if the tongue is temperate, then you don’t get the kind of problems that we have in the world today. You don’t have people stirred up.

"Out of the same mouth [verse 10] proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be." (James 3:10)

The spirit of Satan will be put away. It won’t be there. So there will be One Spirit there. Okay, final Scripture. Let’s turn over to Ezekiel. Ezekiel 36:25

"Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean [clean water, the flowing of the Spirit of God, that will clean up the nations, clean up the individuals, clean up the entire earth, and certainly clean up Israel]: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you..." (Ezekiel 36:25-27)

That is the change. That is the restitution of all things. The going back to the tree of life. The type of spirit that was designed to be plugged into the mind of man. It will stay there for eternity. That is the way it was designed. Those that take a different spirit, take a different attitude of mind, and they will not make it into the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God remember is the family of God, grown large, which will rule in the Millennium. We will give the direction at that time, but the direction for these other individuals to join in that family.

"...and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them [the river bed of God’s Law is what the Spirit of God flows down]. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the [nations]. Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. [verse 33] Thus saith the Lord [Eternal]; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded. And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by." (Ezekiel 36:27-31,33-34)

The spirit changes, and produces the results. It produces fruit. The fruit are these Spiritual qualities that we’ve gone through in Galatians 5. It goes then out into the actual practicality of the entire nations and how the entire face of the earth will change.

"And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced [or organised], and are inhabited. Then the [nations] that are left round about you shall know..." (Ezekiel 36:35-36)

Because they are actually going to be able to see the result of the action of God’s Spirit. The result of the action, the fruit of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.

They are not idle things. They are real things. The result as it says: "...This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden..."(Ezekiel 36:35) A paradise, a utopia. Ezekiel 36:36:

"Then the [nations] that are left round about you shall know that I the [Eternal] build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the [Eternal] have spoken it, and I will do it." (Ezekiel 36:36)
