Now black lawmakers say it's time to get rid of Confederate statues in Congress

USA - The national debate about the fate of statues honoring Confederate politicians and military officers has reached a new level, with a black lawmakers' group saying such memorials should be banned from the US Capitol. A march in Charlottesville, Virginia attended mostly by neo-Nazis and other white supremacists that turned violent last weekend was originally organized to protest the planned removal of a statue of Robert E Lee from a public park.
