EUROPE - European Union and Arab League countries insist that Jerusalem must be the joint capital of Israel and a future Palestinian state, as the US prepares to move its embassy there in a step angering the Arab world. Speaking after talks Monday between EU and Arab League foreign ministers, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said that the “special status and character of the city must be preserved.” She said the two blocs also “see eye to eye” that there can only be a two-state solution to the conflict, with Israel and the Palestinians living side by side in peace. The talks come as Washington prepares to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to a scaled-down, temporary facility that will open in Jerusalem in May.
The following prophecy seems to indicate an end time confederacy against Israel.
“They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur [Asyria] also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot [Jordan] Selah.” (Psalms 83:5-8)
What is interesting is that Assur – modern day Germany – is seen as helping the “children of Lot” – Jordan. Germany already has a military base in Jordan, helping protect Jordan against Syrian aggression. The news article points out that Europe is backing the Arab League [Ishmaelites] against the American plan to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Another prophecy seems to indicate a changed Middle Eastern situation.
“Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.” (Isaiah 9:21)
If the USA removes its support for Israel, and the USA and Britain turn against each other, the whole geopolitical situation in the world could change. America could see its power diminished and Europe could well rush in to fill the vacuum.
Remember, Jerusalem is the focal point of end time events...
