Since the 1980s the world has changed to a large degree in many significant areas such as: Evangelical atheism; Aggressive homosexuality; An insecure dollar; Islamic nuclear terrorism; The rise of China; State surveillance; And political correctness. The key is to examine this very different world being led by the identical Holy Spirit that led HWA, the early apostles and Jesus Christ Himself. (3.3 Mb)

Putting Complete Confidence in God
given Peterborough Canada 2 August 2008
Our relationship with God must certainly be two-way: talking to Him through prayer, while listening carefully as His scriptures instruct us. But even more is required if we are to become one of His Spirit-born children. That miracle so often requires us to "stand still" (Ex 14:13) - in total confidence - as He personally converts us from what we are, to what He requires. (13.0 Mb)

People today place their trust in many things - particularly in money and themselves - but God is very clear. Our trust should be in Him. But as our loving Father, He also often requires us to learn patience as well. (0.9 Mb)

Final Exams
given Owerri Nigeria 26 July 2008
Even if this world were to continue on for some time, we will all eventually die and come before the judgement seat of Christ (2Cor 5:10). But every indication is that this world is not going to continue very long. For this reason, our "final exams" in life are much nearer. The sermon examines: Now is a time of testing; God's method of assessment; Standing before Christ individually; A joint effort within the Church; These exams have real purpose. (12.0 Mb)

Remember Lot's Wife

Portland and Vancouver
given 22 Sept 1984 USA - Played Wales UK 12 July 2008
Begins: "In a way it seems strange to me to be back here in Vancouver, Washington. I lived here for 6 months in 1924..." Mr Armstrong then explains how aged 92 he can no longer read due to poor eyesight. He therefore gives this 2hr sermon without notes or Bible - but shows what God did through him - including his early work in Portland and Vancouver - to fulfil the prophecy of someone, coming in the power and spirit of Elijah, who was to restore all things shortly before Christ returns. (17.0 Mb)

Restore All Things
given Wales UK 5 July 2008
A prophecy given by Jesus Christ is that "Elijah truly shall first come and restore all things" (Matt 17:10-11). But there are those who dispute whether HWA could have been the fulfilment, as we don't know "all things" today. This totally misses what the prophecy says. This sermon examines: What the first Elijah restored; The lost century; The end-time needs; and The breadth of the gospel. (11.3 Mb)

The Effect of Light
given Bristol UK Pentecost AM 8 June 2008
This day of Pentecost is unique when compared to other Holy Days, in that instead of being on a particular date, it is on a particular day of the week - the first day - the day on which God re-created light on the earth. This also has much to teach us spiritually. (13.0 Mb)

“Just what is an APOSTLE?”
Just what is an Apostle?

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!

Listen to Me, You who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My Law: …I have put My words in your mouth, I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, “you are My people” (Isaiah 51:7,16)
