The Passover is only a few weeks away, and we are instructed in 1Cor 11:28 to examine ourselves prior to taking it. Part of the ceremony that begins the Passover, is the footwashing. This Christ did as an example for us, and it has much to teach us about repentance and the type of life God expects us to turn towards.
