EUROPE - Jean-Claude Juncker’s Europe is different from Donald Tusk’s Europe. Tusk, the European Council president, believes the EU needs time to lick its wounds and should shift power back from Brussels to national capitals. Juncker, who runs the European Commission, trusts in the power of EU legislation to nudge countries toward common ground.
Those contrasting views were brought into even sharper relief this week in the build-up to a summit Friday on the future of a post-Brexit EU, as both presidents offered visions of how Europe can get out of its state of perma-crisis. Juncker’s forum was his annual State of the Union address Wednesday to the European Parliament; Tusk’s was more subtle, in a letter he sent to EU national leaders Tuesday and then released publicly as his “personal reflections.”
Describing the EU in his message to leaders, Tusk referred ominously to a continent on the edge of collapse, a place where political elites struggle with “restoring control over events and processes which overwhelm, disorientate, and sometimes terrify” people.
Tusk also described a continent in need of more security and stronger border protections, and less “politically correct statements that Europe cannot become a fortress.” His message ahead of the Friday summit in Bratislava was an attempt to accommodate Eastern European criticism of current EU refugee policies, which have been pushed by Germany and by Juncker’s Commission.

This article reveals the true nature of Europe today. Mr Jean-Claude Juncker, the President of the European Commission, is pushing for a totally integrated Europe. Mr Donald Tusk, who is the President of the European Council, wants more power returned to the individual nations.
Jesus Christ made it very clear that this situation cannot continue: “And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand” (Mark 3:24).
A key reason for the creation of the European Union after WWII was to stop Germany from becoming a militaristic power ever again. Yet after 70 years of relative “peace”, Germany, and Mr Juncker, are pushing for the creation of a European army.
Germany has allowed over one million young Muslim males into their country, which has created chaos. Yet Mrs Merkel refuses to cap the number entering the country. This has caused an upsurge of right wing NAZI politics yet again in Germany.
The financial crisis in Europe continues to go downhill. Deutsche Bank, a leading German bank, is about to implode – which will have devastating consequences in the financial world. Italy is also a major threat to financial stability in Europe. Several other European nations, including Greece, Spain and Portugal are regarded as technically bankrupt.
What is happening in Europe today ties in perfectly with Bible prophecy.
Europe today is a mixture of strength and weakness. It is hopelessly disunited right at the very top. The present European Union is doomed! Prophetically, its successor, the final 10 nation beast power, will also be unstable and will only survive for a very short time.
“And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay” (Daniel 2:42-43).
The soon-coming end time European superpower, the ten nations, is to be guided by a system referred to as “Babylon” in scripture (read Revelation chapter 17) and the name Babylon means “confusion”!
Is this not what we are seeing today with the present EU?
