USA - Could it be possible that the US is heading for a major war? If you ask most Americans that question, they will look at you like you are crazy. For most people in this country, war with either Russia or China is not something to even be remotely concerned about. But the Russians and the Chinese both see things very differently.
Tensions with Russia and China have been simmering for quite a while, and both of those nations have been rapidly modernizing their military forces. Sadly, the vast majority of the US population is utterly clueless about these things. But those that are serving in the military have a much better understanding, and one recent survey found that about half of them expect the US to be “drawn into a new war within the next year”…
About 46 percent of troops who responded to the anonymous survey of currently serving Military Times readers said they believe the US will be drawn into a new war within the next year. That’s a jarring increase from only about 5 percent who said the same thing in a similar poll conducted in September 2017.
Some major stuff must be going on behind the scenes in order to go from 5 percent to 46 percent in a single year. We truly are living in apocalyptic times, and our world seems to be getting more unstable with each passing day. We should hope for peace, but throughout human history peace has never lasted for long. Major global powers continue to edge closer and closer to conflict, and that is a very dangerous game to be playing.
While America sees the threat coming from Russia and China, the real problem is elsewhere - in Europe! Mr Armstrong made the following statement regarding Bible prophecy:
“There is no prophecy of such a war between the US and the SOVIET UNION, but there is such an over-kill, super-frightful war in prophecy with a UNITED EUROPE destroying the United States.” (Pastor General’s Report – June 18, 1979)
The warning went out as far back as 1927
“We don’t understand German thoroughness. From the very start of World War II, they have considered the possibility of losing this second round, as they did the first – and they have carefully, methodically planned, in such eventuality, the third round – World War III! The Bible foretells that third round – and it spells DOOM for us, as God’s punishment, because we, as a nation, have forsaken Him and His ways! The third round is termed, in prophecy, an invasion by ‘BABYLON’ – a resurrected Roman Empire – a European Union. I have been proclaiming that since 1927’.” (The Autobiography, Volume 2 - Chapter 49)
The leadership of this final resurrected ‘Holy Roman Empire’ also revealed:
“Undoubtedly GERMANY will head the new resurrected ‘Holy Roman Empire.’ Who conquered the German armed fist twice – in the two great world wars? It was Britain with the United States pouring in the real knockout power! Who will they go forth to DESTROY? Britain and the United States!” (Co-worker Letter, 14 August 1978)
Meanwhile - as we wait for this event, reading of potential wars - we should not forget the following scripture:
"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Matthew 24:6)
