UK - BBC journalist Laura Kuenssberg warned that MPs will have to wait until Christmas eve for a vote on the Brexit deal should an agreement be secured in December. EU leaders warned at the last Brussels summit that the November summit would be pushed back until “decisive progress” has been made. BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg claimed a Brexit deal will be voted on by MPs on December 21, or even Christmas Eve.
She said: “If the deal is in December it looks like the vote would end up being Friday 21, but someone in Government told me today that there had been a discussion about whether or not it would be possible or not to have the final vote on Christmas eve. Can you imagine?”
In a letter released to MPs revealed this week, Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab suggested an agreement about the UK's departure from the European bloc would be finalised before November 21. The EU Brexit secretary said: "The end is now firmly in sight and, while obstacles remain, it cannot be beyond us to navigate them."
But, officials insisted that many issues still need to be resolved before an agreement between the UK and EU is secured. Once an agreement has been made between negotiators, MPs in the UK will get a vote on the final Brexit deal. The EU 27 will also have to sign off on Brexit before the decision can be fully implemented.

But even he cannot be sure!
Those officials working on the details of the agreement also have concerns: “But, officials insisted that many issues still need to be resolved...” and they are the ones in “the know”!
The truth is – they are trying to talk up an agreement – yet there are many issues to be sorted – not the least of which is that all 27 members of the EU have to also agree to the deal. Right now, that does not seem likely!
