Throughout the Bible the heart is used to picture an attitude of mind - which is naturally hostile towards God. Only God can truly know our heart and just like the physical heart can be stress tested to identify weaknesses, God allows trials to test our hearts and identify areas that need growth. (2.1 Mb)
