Netanyahu Touts ‘New Middle East’

ISRAEL - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu touted the prospect of a peace deal with Saudi Arabia and the advent of a “new Middle East” in his address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Friday morning. Citing the book of Deuteronomy, in which Moses offered a choice between a “blessing” and a “curse,” Netanyahu said that the Iranian regime had proved to be a “curse to their own people, to our region, to the entire world.”

At the same time, however, he noted that Iran had driven the Arab states toward an alliance with Israel, which had led to a flourishing of peace agreements, diplomacy, and trade in the years since the Abraham Accords of 2020.

He wanted to make peace with the Palestinians, Netanyahu said, but had long argued that the Palestinians should not have a veto over peace agreements with other Arab states. The breakthrough, he said, came when the region finally abandoned the idea that an Israeli-Palestinian deal had to come first. He urged the Palestinians to learn from other Arab states, and abandon “the fantasy of destroying Israel, and finally embrace a path of genuine peace.”

The Israeli leader said, in contrast, that the flourishing of peace bringing about a reconciliation “between Judaism and Islam, between Jerusalem and Mecca, between the descendants of Isaac and the descendants of Ishmael.”

Our comment

If Mr Netanyahu is quoting the Bible, perhaps he should consider an important prophecy in Psalm 83.

“A Song or Psalm of Asaph.

Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; THAT THE NAME OF ISRAEL MAY BE NO MORE IN REMEMBRANCE.

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: The tabernacles of Edom [Turkey], and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur [Germany] also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot [Jordan]. Selah.”(Psalm 83:1-8)

Also at the end time, when the army invades the Middle East – and stops the daily sacrifices in Jerusalem, it appears that Turkey and Jordan escape…

“He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.” (Daniel 11:41)

Always remember, it’s not what they say – it’s what they do. According to God’s word, these Arab nations are not out to promote “genuine peace” – they are “taking crafty counsel” to destroy Israel as a nation.

End time prophecy focuses on this area – Watch carefully!

“Just what is an APOSTLE?”
Just what is an Apostle?

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!
