Will Global Economy Shatter If China Collapses

CHINA - The Chinese made a foray to the world economy with low-priced production and mass manufacturing bias. The interest of foreign venture capitalist in China and country’s growing economic and political influence in the world added another cherry to the Great Chinese Pie. However, once the 2008 financial meltdown happened, the pie is becoming smaller and the Chinese dream is coming to a troublesome end. With it, China may carry a serious risk to the global economy as well.

Pope Francis calls on media to end ‘constant focus on bad news”

VATICAN - Pope Francis has urged global news outlets to “stem the spiral of fear” caused by coverage of the world’s tragedies and scandals. “I am convinced that we have to break the vicious circle of anxiety and stem the spiral of fear resulting from a constant focus on ‘bad news,’” the pope said in a message Tuesday (January 24). “This has nothing to do with spreading misinformation that would ignore the tragedy of human suffering, nor is it about a naive optimism blind to the scandal of evil.” In a powerfully worded message, the pope said he wanted to encourage media professionals to engage in “constructive forms of communication that reject prejudice” and help create a world of “realism and trust.”

Sean Spicer says media has obligation to tell the truth

USA - White House press secretary Sean Spicer defended Monday the administration’s combative start with the media, saying President Trump and his aides have a right to correct what they view as journalists’ mistakes and bias. “I believe that sometimes we can disagree with the facts,” Mr Spicer told a packed briefing room at his first question-and-answer session. “I believe that we have to be honest with the American people. Our intention is never to lie to you. But it’s a two-way street. We should be afforded the same opportunity.” Mr Trump has battled the media since the start of his presidential campaign and is carrying over that combative style into the presidency. During a visit to the CIA on Saturday, he referred to journalists as “some of the most dishonest human beings on earth.”

A key clue to Trump’s presidency: American Empire

USA - That clue is embedded in a statement Trump made in his inaugural address: “We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world… We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example for everyone to follow.” Is Trump absolutely serious?

Anti-Trump Women’s March Organizer has Ties To Hamas

USA - Linda Sarsour, one of the organizers behind Saturday’s women’s march, being held in Washington, DC, was recently spotted at a large Muslim convention in Chicago posing for pictures with an accused financier for Hamas, the terrorist group.

Foreigners Are Dumping US Debt At A Record Pace

USA - While most of the country has been focused on the inauguration of Donald Trump, a very real crisis has been brewing behind the scenes. Foreigners are dumping US debt at a faster rate than we have ever seen before, and US Treasury yields have been rising. This is potentially a massive problem, because our entire debt-fueled standard of living is dependent on foreigners lending us gigantic mountains of money at ultra-low interest rates.

Germany admits saving EU will be a ‘MAJOR STRUGGLE’

GERMANY - Angela Merkel’s government believes keeping the European Union together will be a “major struggle” – especially now Donald Trump is US President, a European thinktank chief has claimed. Almut Möller, director of the Berlin office of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), claimed Germany was desperate for Britain to stay in the Brussels bloc at such a crucial stage in the EU's history. Moller said: “Berlin never wanted Britain to leave the EU and in many ways this choice is now coming at the worst of times. She added: “The German government knows very well that keeping the European Union together will be a major struggle; a struggle that will become far more difficult once President Trump steps into the Oval Office on Monday morning.”

Trump’s Declaration of War

USA - President Trump’s brief inaugural speech was a declaration of war against the entirety of the American Ruling Establishment. All of it. Trump made it abundantly clear that Americans’ enemies are right here at home: globalists, neoliberal economists, neoconservatives and other unilateralists accustomed to imposing the US on the world and involving us in endless and expensive wars, politicians who serve the Ruling Establishment rather than the American people, indeed, the entire canopy of private interests that have run America into the ground while getting rich in the process.

Queen's chaplain resigns over cathedral Koran reading row

UK - A chaplain to the Queen has resigned after publicly criticising a church that allowed a Koran reading during its service as part of an interfaith project. The Rev Gavin Ashenden, who until this week was one of the 33 special chaplains to the Queen, said the reading was “a fairly serious error” and one which he had a duty to speak out about.

2017 Will Be An Important Year For The Currency Wars

USA - The past few years, ‘currency war’ was the ‘talk of the town’, but truth be told, there was no real ‘cold’ trade and currency war. In fact, the European Central Bank kept on decreasing its benchmark interest rates when the Federal Reserve took baby-steps to increase its own interest rates again, so we do have to take the previous ‘currency war’ declaration with a mid-sized spoon of salt. But in 2017, the gloves might come off, as several countries have been warning for ‘expensive currencies’. China, for instance, might become under increased pressure from the Trump administration who will very likely announce and initiate some protectionist measures to boost the domestic economy inside the USA. China also is an easy ‘victim’ as it’s easy to use the country as a ‘target’ when things go wrong in the USA. The statement ‘the US Dollar is overvalued whilst China is keeping its currency rate artificially low’ isn’t coming out of the blue.

Boys who think they are girls allowed to join Guides for first time

UK - Boys who think they are girls will be allowed to join the Guides for the first time in the organisation’s 107-year history. Adult men who also identify their gender as female could become leaders too under radical new proposals to the traditional single-sex policy of girlguiding. The details were revealed in a document sent to all leaders this week, which explained how members would be accepted on the gender they “self-identify” with, rather than their biological sex. Parents of children already in a girlguiding group are not required to know if a trans person will be attending a residential event. This is seen as not “best practice”, according to the document, even with young girls sharing sleeping and washing facilities on trips away from home.

Major 8.0 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes

PAPUA NEW GUINEA - A major earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 8.0 has struck Bougainville Island in the Solomon Islands, prompting a tsunami alert for both the islands and the wider region, seismologists say. Only few details are available.

Donald Trump: STOP EU Army plans or lose US Nato support

USA - President Trump will demand Brussels abandons plans for an EU Army if it wants the US to continue its support for Nato. Senior British officers serving at the Pentagon have been briefed that one of the new administration’s top priorities will be to “sweep away” plans championed by Germany and France.

Theresa May to meet Donald Trump on Friday - White House

UK - Prime Minister Theresa May will meet US President Donald Trump in Washington DC on Friday, the White House has said. Mrs May will be the first foreign leader to meet the new president after his inauguration. A post-Brexit free trade deal is thought likely to be high on her agenda as she travels to the US for talks. Confirmation of the meeting came as hundreds of thousands of people around the world joined women's marches to protest Mr Trump's presidency. Mr Trump's press secretary Sean Spicer gave details of Mrs May's visit in his first briefing to journalists at the White House on Saturday. Earlier, while visiting the CIA's headquarters, President Trump said the PM "is coming over to our country very shortly".

'Theresa is my Maggie'

USA - Donald Trump has told Theresa May he wants to revive the close transatlantic bond enjoyed by Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. The controversial US President-elect launched a charm offensive during a ten-minute phone call with the Prime Minister yesterday, telling her Britain is 'a very, very special place for me and our country'. Mr Trump invited Mrs May to visit him in Washington 'as soon as possible'. And – in a boost for hopes of a post-Brexit trade deal – Downing Street sources said the tycoon also talked of his hope of reviving the close UK-US relationship that dominated the West throughout the 1980s. During the Thatcher years, the special relationship between Britain and America was elevated to new heights. Margaret Thatcher’s bond with Ronald Reagan was said to have defined her premiership.

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!

Listen to Me, You who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My Law: …I have put My words in your mouth, I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, “you are My people” (Isaiah 51:7,16)
