MEXICO - The Popocatepetl volcano in Mexico is entering a new phase of enhanced activity. After several explosions at night, the volcano had a strong eruption ejecting ash and gas 5 km above the crater. At the time of this report continuous emission of volcanic gases and ash are observed ranging an average height of 2 km above the crater.
USA - On Friday, hordes of desperate zombies were spotted desperately trying to save a few dollars on toys, apparel and cheaply made electronic goods all over America. Seemingly oblivious to the fact that virtually all of these goods were made outside of the United States in nations where it is legal to pay slave labor wages, these zombies often clashed violently with one another over items such as soap, toilet paper and jumbo-sized televisions.

USA - Various news reports have recently suggested that Hon Hai Precision Industry, the Taiwanese contract manufacturer of Apple products, is considering shifting production from China to the US. The speculation is nothing new. But this is the first time it has reared its head since Donald Trump won the US presidential election. The president-elect's campaign-trail threats of slapping heavy tariffs on Chinese exports have brought something new to the equation.
KASHMIR - Heavy fighting continued along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, as Indian forces launched a bombardment of Pakistani military and civilian positions across the line in one of the deadliest exchanges of fire in recent weeks. At least three Pakistani soldiers were killed in the firing, and Pakistan claimed to have killed another seven Indian soldiers in retaliatory fire. The bigger death toll was among civilians, however, with at least 11 civilians slain when artillery shells hit a passenger bus and a nearby motorcycle. Both sides blaming the other for the situation, and increasing concerns that it is going to escalate into a full-scale war.
UK - The police, NHS and the tax man will now be able to hack into your phones and check your browsing history after the Snoopers' Charter was passed by Parliament last week. The bill, officially called the Investigatory Powers Bill, forces electronic data to be stored by internet providers for 12 months, which can be subsequently collected by law enforcement.
Now a blogger has created a list of all the people who will be able to request to view your internet history if the bill passes Royal Assent to become law.
