The Pentagon has also sent armored vehicles to “moderate rebels” in Syria, according to Pentagon spokesman Colonel John Dorrian. Unable to prevent Russia and Syria from winning the war against ISIS, the Pentagon is busy at work derailing the peace negotiations. The military/security complex is using its puppets-on-a-string in the House and Senate to generate renewed conflict with Iran and to continue threats against China.

Clearly, Trump is not in control of the most important part of his agenda — peace with the thermo-nuclear powers and cessation of interference in the affairs of other countries. Trump cannot simultaneously make peace with Russia and make war on Iran and China. The Russian government is not stupid. It will not sell out China and Iran for a deal with the West. Iran is a buffer against jihadism spilling into Muslim populations in the Russian Federation.

China is Russia’s most important military and economic strategic ally against a renewal of US hostility toward Russia by Trump’s successor, assuming Trump succeeds in reducing US/Russian tensions. The neoconservatives with their agenda of US world hegemony and their alliance with the military-security complex will outlast the Trump administration.

On January 30, Fox News reported, citing US officials, that Iran had conducted tests of its medium-range ballistic missiles. On Thursday, three days later, CNN, NBC News and Reuters all cited unnamed sources reporting that fresh sanctions against Iran were likely to come as early as Friday. The House seems open to the idea.

"I'd like to put as much toothpaste back in the tube as possible. I think the last administration appeased Iran far too much," House Speaker Paul Ryan (Republican for Wisconsin) said at a news conference on Thursday, according to NPR. Washington condemned the move, saying the test undermined “security, prosperity and stability throughout and beyond the Middle East” essentially putting “lives at risk.”

“We are officially putting Iran on notice,” Trump’s National Security Advisor Michael Flynn warned. The US claimed the test violated UN Security Council Resolution 2231 which called on Iran “not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles.”

On Wednesday, Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan confirmed that Iran did indeed test the missile. "The recent test was in line with our plans and we will not allow foreigners to interfere in our defense affairs," Defence Minister Hossein Dehghan told Tasnim news agency. "The test did not violate the nuclear deal or (UN) Resolution 2231."

Trump said that instead of conducting tests, Iran “should have been thankful” for the P5+1 deal brokered by key world powers including the US, which the new US President repeatedly called a “disaster.” Tehran emphatically dismissed Trump’s threats saying, “The American government will understand that threatening Iran is useless,” Ali Akbar Velayati, foreign policy advisor to the Iran’s Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told reporters.

The NY Post has emerged as the only real unbiased newspaper in New York City. It has repeatedly called out “American journalism is collapsing before our eyes.” Indeed, Journalists now come in near the bottom of poll ranking public respect for professions according to Gallup Polls. Indeed, the NY Post reported the truth that is so obvious to us all that the Media is more interested in hating Trump than reporting news. It’s time to clean up the press – not just drain the swamp. Trump met in the Oval Office with officials from Amgen, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Celgene, Eli Lilly, and Novartis. After their meeting, Trump told reporters that he would oppose road blocks making it harder for smaller drug companies to compete with larger ones. He also accused Medicare of increasing the cost of drugs.

“I’ll oppose anything that makes it harder for smaller, younger companies to take the risk of bringing a product to a vibrantly competitive market,” he said. “That includes price fixing by the biggest dog in the market, Medicare, which is what’s happening.” Trump also promised to streamline the FDA, helping the industry approve drugs quickly.

Bannon, chief strategist and senior counselor to Trump, is notorious for his extreme right-wing views. He previously served as the CEO for the far-right president's campaign, and now sits on the National Security Council. In remarks to a 2014 conference at the Vatican, Bannon warned his Christian audience, "We're at the very beginning stages of a very brutal and bloody conflict."

"We are in an outright war against jihadists, Islam, Islamic fascism," Bannon continued. He likewise condemned "the immense secularization of the West" and the increasing secularism among millennials.

A plan which would dramatically concentrate and expand Donald Trump's power, inflame and mobilize his base, whip up and and leverage racism, Islamophobia and, at a later stage, if needed, anti-Semitism, in order to slough all shortcomings onto scapegoats.

He needs a war.

A war would free him to green-light mammoth corporate monopolies, and to provide the ultimate pretext, the emergency imperative, for abrogating on a massive scale the most basic of constitutional guarantees to individual freedoms - gun ownership excepted.

President Donald Trump threatened to cut federal funding for the University of California, Berkeley after the campus erupted into fiery violence before a planned speech by conservative figure Milo Yiannopoulos Wednesday evening. The president’s tweet comes after a night of violent protests on the campus forced Yiannopoulos to cancel a book tour event that was, ironically, about free speech on campus.

Berkeley is the flagship institution of the University of California system. The school received $370 million in federal research funding during the 2015-2016 school year. Trust me when I say that the school may act tough and even back their students’ disgustingly violent actions, but they’ll change their minds QUICKLY over losing $370 million per year.

It came as Peter Navarro, a key figure in President Trump’s new administration, slammed Berlin for using a “grossly undervalued” euro to “exploit” the US and other fellow EU members. Mr Navarro, the head of Mr Trump’s new National Trade Council, told the Financial Times the euro represents an “implicit Deutsche Mark”, giving Germany an unfair advantage over its trading partners in a fresh threat to relations between Washington and Berlin.

He said: “A big obstacle to viewing TTIP as a bilateral deal is Germany, which continues to exploit other countries in the EU as well as the US with an ‘implicit Deutsche Mark’ that is grossly undervalued. The German structural imbalance in trade with the rest of the EU and the US underscores the economic heterogeneity [diversity] within the EU — ergo, this is a multilateral deal in bilateral dress.”

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has attacked China and Japan for devaluing their currencies in a clear suggestion the two countries are manipulating financial markets. In a meeting with pharmaceutical company executives on Tuesday, Trump said: “You look at what China’s doing, you look at what Japan has done over the years. They play the money market, they play the devaluation market and we sit there like a bunch of dummies.”

It is "Europe's last powerhouse," one journal writes, in a snub to France, which, over the past few years, was unable to contend with Germany in the power struggle, and has lost much of its influence. Non-German observers doubt that Berlin will be able to sustain its claim to leadership within the EU. In Germany's capital, an abundance of "triumphalism and sense of mission" is felt, reported an experienced foreign policy expert.

"The French have no idea and must be disciplined." The expert sees the possibility of coalitions in opposition to Germany being formed among EU countries. This is why the EU must finally "close ranks," as German politicians are demanding. On Saturday, on his first foreign visit as German Foreign Minister, Sigmar Gabriel met his Parisian counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault. His vigorous insistence "that Germany and France demonstrate they have common positions on nearly all issues" was also aimed at closing the EU's ranks. While Gabriel was visiting France, the seven southern European countries' heads of states and governments - including the French president - were meeting in Lisbon to determine their own positions, also regarding their economic policy.

In view of British Prime Minster Theresa May's recent visit to the USA, observers note that the Brexit is creating "a second geopolitical pole in Europe," and "for Germany, which has become accustomed to speak in the name of Europe, ...this is not a favorable development."
