USA - Lawyers representing traders who allege they were ripped off by a group of colluding global banks filed eye-popping evidence in a Manhattan Federal Court yesterday showing that even as global banks were being criminally probed for rigging currency markets, they continued to engage in rigging the silver market, with a UBS trader referring to the group as the “mafia.”
USA - Will the financial bubble that has been rapidly growing ever since Donald Trump won the election suddenly be popped once he takes office? Could it be possible that we are being set up for a horrible financial crash that he will ultimately be blamed for? Yesterday, I shared my thoughts on the incredible euphoria that we have seen since Donald Trump’s surprise victory on November 8th.
USA - The past many months have carried a lot of noise about the coming crash, about a tipping point that may be fast approaching. The economics are simply giving way, and they can’t hold the illusion forever. Now that Donald Trump will be calling the shots, the money powers can usher in collapse if they wish, and have ready their scapegoat.
USA - Since Donald Trump’s victory on election night we have seen the worst bond crash in 15 years. Global bond investors have seen trillions of dollars of wealth wiped out since November 8th, and analysts are warning of another tough week ahead. The general consensus in the investing community is that a Trump administration will mean much higher inflation, and as a result investors are already starting to demand higher interest rates.
USA - The presstitute media delivered the false news, not from Russian propaganda websites such as the Washington Post accuses this one of being, but from Obama’s US Bureau of Labor Statistics. The false news is that the collapsing economy continues to boom with 178,000 new jobs in November and a further fall in the rate of unemployment to 4.6%.
YEMEN - The people of Yemen are ‘slowly starving’ to death as the world turns a blind eye, human rights organizations and charities warn. International aid organization Oxfam warned that the people of Yemen are at risk of running out of food by April, which will also mark two years of conflict in the poorest country in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia began bombing the country in support of exiled president Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi at the end of March 2015, after Houthi rebels loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, said to be backed by Iran, took over the capital of Sanaa.
UNITED NATIONS - With his job still on the line, the newly appointed UN independent expert for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights laid out a provocative agenda for his 3-year term last week. “This mandate will cover every country under the sun and under the moon,” Thai Professor Vitit Muntarbhorn is reported to have said, further antagonizing countries that have already promised not to cooperate with him.
SOLOMON ISLANDS - Another earthquake has ripped through the pacific with the Solomon islands hit by 6.9 magnitude quake with tsunami waves of three metres predicted to hit land. Just a day after a powerful earthquake, measuring 7.7, tore through the islands the area was rocked by another strong tremor. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre (PTWC) issued a statement which confirmed the quake had hit off Kira Kira, in the Solomon islands. The Epicentre struck some 55 miles off the coast and at a depth of 10 miles just after 7pm, local time, on Friday evening. Following Thursday's earthquake buildings collapsed and villagers, after receiving tsunami warnings on their phone, fled their homes in the hills. The US state of Hawaii was also warned to be prepared in the event of a tsunami following the quake.
INDONESIA - A devastating earthquake which wreaked havoc in an Indonesian holiday hotspot on Wednesday has left more than 40,000 people homeless. Officials say the figure has almost doubled from 23,000 to 43,000 since rescue teams started clearing away rubble and debris in northern Sumatra. At least 100 people were killed and scores more injured after the horror magnitude 6.5 tremor struck Aceh province. More than 240 buildings were damaged in the worst-affected region of Pidie Jaya, including shops, homes and mosques. The horror quake in Indonesia was not the only tremor to hit the Pacific this week. A powerful 6.9 magnitude quake rocked the Solomon Islands last night, triggering warnings of three-metre high tsunami waves. The tremor comes just a day after the same region was hit by a magnitude 7.7 quake.
UK - It has been a dreadful year for the European Union. It has just got a lot worse. Next year could transform a looming existential threat into a terminal reality. The end of a joint 60-year project to transform the politics of an entire continent is now a distinct possibility. Some would greet the prospect with glee, others with horror. But few have thought through what it would mean if the pillars came crashing down.
VATICAN - Pope Francis has condemned a lack of leadership in Europe and said that we are already in the middle of World War Three. The pope rubbished European leaders and their lack of peacekeeping as conflicts rage in the Middle East, Africa, Yemen and Ukraine. The Argentine-born pontiff said the situation is "very grave" as he repeated calls for peace.
GERMANY - Billionaire Bill Gates called for “a kind of global government” this week, arguing that the creation of a one world government would be needed to combat major issues such as “climate change.” Speaking with Germany’s “Süddeutsche Zeitung” newspaper, Gates said that the United Nations doesn’t have enough power and must be granted full governmental control “for the good of humanity.”
INDIA - Paving the way for ‘no person left behind’, Central banks are putting police power and brutality behind their move to a cashless society. Understand that gold and gold jewelry are traditional stores of value in India. Secondly, note that the banking cartel is going after this gold and jewelry because it is ‘hidden’ wealth and comparable to cash. ⁃ TN Editor
USA - President-elect Donald Trump laid out a US military policy on Tuesday that would avoid interventions in foreign conflicts and instead focus heavily on defeating the Islamic State militancy. In the latest stop on a "thank you" tour of states critical to his November 8 election win, Trump introduced his choice for defense secretary, General James Mattis, to a large crowd in this city near the Fort Bragg military base, which has deployed soldiers to 90 countries around the world.
USA - The Obama administration gave the defense industry the go-ahead on plans to build classic American fighter jets in India. With the support of the current administration, both Lockheed Martin and Boeing have been in talks with the Indian government to build the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the F/A-18 Super Hornet for the Indian Air Force in India, according to the Washington Post. The companies intend to move their production facilities to India. Lockheed may relocate its entire F-16 assembly line, moving manufacturing from Texas to India. While the F-16 has been produced in other countries through joint ventures before, this could be the first time that the entire assembly line has been moved abroad. The F-16 may be produced “exclusively” in India.
