Critics may think that is a vast improvement over the present situation in which the Fed conceals its allegiance to the giant Wall Street investment banks behind a public relations cloud of “independence”, but the idea of one man controlling the price of the world’s reserve currency and, thus, the price of financial assets and commodities across the globe, is equally disturbing.

Trump tapped into that wellspring of anger and frustration by denouncing the “failed and corrupt political establishment” in which both Hillary Clinton and the Fed feature prominently. Now he’s going to take it to the next level by launching a surprise attack on the Fed which will leave Wall Street stripped of its power-agency and left to fend for itself. This is a blurb from the New York Times:

“A core view of many Trump advisers is that the extended period of emergency policy settings has promoted a bubble in the stock market, depressed the incomes of savers, scared the public and encouraged capital misallocation,” said Ian Shepherdson, chief economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics. “Right now, these are minority views on the FOMC [Federal Open Market Committee], but Trump appointees are likely to shift the needle.” (With Trump in Power, the Fed Gets Ready for a Reckoning, New York Times)

They’re going to “shift the needle” alright, then they’re going to drive it through the serpent’s heart. The Fed has had every opportunity to show where its loyalties lie and it has sided with Wall Street every single time. There’s a reason why 95 percent of all income gains in the last eight years have gone to the one percent, while working people have struggled just to put food on the table. Just like there’s a reason why stocks have tripled in value in the last eight years while wages and incomes have stagnated and the economy has slowed to a crawl. It’s the policy, stupid.

The Fed has created the conditions for a permanent Depression so it can provide infinite cheap money to its crooked reprobate friends on Wall Street. Now their little party is coming to an end.

Barack Obama said it was easy to forget the risk Ellen DeGeneres took to come out as gay in 1997. He said her bravery helped "push our country in the direction of justice".

"It's easy to forget now, when we've come so far... just how much courage was required for Ellen to come out on the most public of stages almost 20 years ago," he said during the award ceremony at the White House. "What an incredible burden that was to bear - to risk your career like that - people don't do that very often. And then, to have the hopes of millions on your shoulders."

Look, I voted for Donald Trump and I want him to be as successful as possible.  But when Donald Trump becomes our next president on January 20th, that does not mean that all of the great problems that our nation is facing will somehow magically disappear.  If you listen to some people, they make it sound like America is going to experience nothing but peace, prosperity and blessing for decades to come.  I would love it if that was indeed going to be the case, but unfortunately that is simply not the truth.

We are currently on a path that leads to national suicide, and unless we change our ways it isn’t going to matter who is in the White House. I keep hearing about how our new president is going to “unify” the nation, but that is going to be extremely difficult to do considering the fact that we are now more divided than ever.  In fact, a brand new Gallup survey found that an all-time record high 77 percent of all Americans believe that we are “greatly divided when it comes to the most important values”. I keep hearing about how we are now entering a golden age of peace and prosperity, but how is that supposed to happen while we are still butchering millions of innocent children in our abortion mills?

I keep hearing about how the economy is about to take off like a rocket, but how is that possible when we have already been on the greatest debt binge in world history?  The only way we have been able to maintain our massively inflated debt-fueled standard of living is by piling up debt at a faster pace than any generation in history. 

Today we have accumulated 12 trillion dollars in consumer debt, corporate debt has doubled since the last financial crisis, and the national debt is rapidly approaching 20 trillion dollars.  How can Trump possibly pump up our standard of living with debt more than Obama has already done?

I keep hearing about how we are “going to make America great again”, but how can we be great when we are producing more pornography than the rest of the world combined? If we do not fundamentally change course as a nation we will not survive.  Tinkering with tax rates, regulations and trade agreements is not going to get the job done.  So many people are acting as if we just have a few cuts and scratches, when the reality is what our country really needs is major heart surgery.

Donald Trump is not some sort of a messiah, and even if he is able to accomplish every single thing that he is promising right now it will not nearly be enough. But for the moment millions of Americans are proclaiming “peace and safety” now that Donald Trump has won the election, and we shall see how it all turns out…

“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added.

A second source confirmed the fireworks. “The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks,” the other source said. “Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong.’ He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was [a] network of liars,” the source said.

“Trump didn’t say [NBC reporter] Katy Tur by name, but talked about an NBC female correspondent who got it wrong, then he referred to a horrible network correspondent who cried when Hillary lost who hosted a debate – which was Martha Raddatz who was also in the room.” The stunned reporters tried to get a word in edgewise to discuss access to a Trump Administration.

Trump spokeswoman Kellyanne Conway told reporters the gathering went well. “Excellent meetings with the top executives of the major networks,” she said during a gaggle in the lobby of Trump Tower. “Pretty unprecedented meeting we put together in two days.” The meeting was off the record, meaning the participants agreed not to talk about the substance of the conversations.

In documents filed with a federal judge in Texas the Justice Department said that in light of the new management that will take over next year, the case should be suspended.

“Accordingly, the parties respectfully submit that further proceedings on the merits of this case, including the submission of a schedule for resolving the merits, should be stayed until February 20, 2017,” the Justice Department and lawyers for Texas said in a joint request of Judge Andrew S Hanen.

This most likely sounds the death knells of Obama’s illegal executive amnesty programs, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA).

In June, 2016, Trump called Obama’s executive amnesty “one of the most unconstitutional actions ever undertaken by a President,” and said amnesty hurts “poor African-American and Hispanic workers by giving away their jobs and federal resources to illegal immigrant labor – while making us all less safe.” Another disastrous Obama policy bites the dust, thanks to President-elect Trump – and he hasn’t even been sworn into office yet!

Now, it appears that Putin’s dislike of the financial speculator has hit an even more intense peak as he has declared Soros a ‘threat to Russian national security’ and called for his arrest. It is likely that the intensifying of Russian anger against Soros has a great deal to do with the allegations that his organisation has been conducting covert operations designed to destabilise the country. Leaked files have emerged from his Open Society Foundation speaking explicitly of this aim.

The Open Society Foundation claimed that Putin was a greater threat to the European Union than Islamic State and claimed that the Russia air strikes in Syria, which have badly affected the civilian population, were designed to force the Syrian people to flee en masse and flood Europe with desperate refugees. If the Open Society Foundation have evidence for making these sensational claims against the Russian state they have chosen not to share it. Russia is not the only party that has shown dissatisfaction with Soros in recent years.

The controversial Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has also suggested that Soros and his organisation have been attempting to impact political circumstances across the world for their own financial benefit. The statements by these two leaders mirror the views of writers and journalists who have been warning about Soros’s behaviour over the decades. As Phil Butler once said; “George Soros has a finger in every political pie there is. If there is a crisis on our world, it’s a safe bet he’s had a hand in it.”

Of course this would have to happen before the inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20th, because Trump has already made it quite clear that he will not support any UN resolution of such nature. Knowing that Trump is about to take office, advocates of the “two state solution” are putting an immense amount of pressure on Obama to support a UN Security Council resolution that would permanently divide the land of Israel while he is still in the White House, and at this moment we do not know what Barack Obama’s final decision will be.

Most Americans have no idea that this drama is playing out behind the scenes, but those in the know are very much aware of what is happening. The Wall Street Journal recently published an article entitled “Obama’s Israel Surprise?” that discussed the possibility of Obama supporting a UN Security Council resolution that would permanently divide the land of Israel, and the New York Times editorial board has formally endorsed such a resolution.

The rest of the UN Security Council is ready to agree to such a resolution, and at this point the only obstacle is getting Barack Obama’s approval. That is why it was so exceedingly alarming to wake up on Sunday morning and read former UN Ambassador John Bolton’s very chilling warning about what could soon happen at the UN.

If we can get to January 20th and Donald Trump is peacefully inaugurated and the land of Israel has not been divided, perhaps we can all breathe a little bit easier for a while. But if the land of Israel is divided between now and then, the consequences for this nation are going to be more severe than most people would dare to imagine.

Considering the fact that Obama is leaving, there were fears that he was going to pass some legislation that would affect the country and be nearly impossible for Trump to repeal. These were going to be called the “Midnight Rules” and it was going to ensure that Trump was going to have some issues before tackling the issues he wanted to tackle the most.

Except that fear is NO MORE. The House of Representatives passed legislation, by a margin of 240-179, allows Congress to undo any of the last-minute rules and regulations that were going to be put on the books before President Obama leaves office.

The bill’s sponsor, Representative Darrell Issa, a Republican out of California and the former chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, had this to say about the bill. “This bipartisan bill is about reviving the separation of powers to ensure our laws are written by the representatives we actually vote for – not unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats who are on their way out the door.”

RT: I’d like to hear your opinion on the current state of social institutions that the Church has traditionally upheld, such as marriage and family. Today, many of the historically Christian countries in the West are legalizing same-sex marriage. Some of them have even appointed special envoys for LGBT rights. Many in the West see it as progress and liken it to the situation with interracial marriages in the US, which used to be frowned upon and now are a part of life. So, many believe this is a step forward. What do you think of this trend?

PK: I’m deeply wary of it. What’s happening in the Western countries is that, for the first time in human history, legislation is at odds with the moral nature of human beings. What’s good and evil? Sin and righteousness? These could be defined in both religious terms and non-religious terms. If you take a good character from English, American, or Russian fiction, you will see that all of them possess the same qualities. Why? We have different cultures and different political systems, but for all of us good is good, and evil is evil, and everyone understands who the good guys are, and who the bad guys are. So how do we distinguish?

With our heart, with our moral nature. This moral nature, created by God, served as a foundation for the legislation which is designed. Laws defined moral values in legal terms, telling us what’s good and what’s bad. We know that stealing is bad and helping people is good, and laws define what stealing is and what the suitable punishment for it is.

Now, for the first time in human history, the law allows something that doesn’t correspond to our moral nature. The law contradicts it. It’s not the same thing, of course, but we could compare this to an extent to the apartheid in Africa or Nazi laws – when the law went against inherent moral values, people rebelled. They knew it wasn’t right; it was artificial; it was part of some ideology and not in sync with their moral nature. So the Church can never approve of this.

We say that the Church can never redefine good and evil, sin and righteousness, but we don’t condemn people who have different sexual preferences. It’s on their conscience and it’s their business, but they shouldn’t be discriminated against or punished, as used to be common practice in some states. However, under no circumstances should this be accepted as a social norm no different from the social norm that stems from our moral nature, meaning marriage between a man and wife who create a family and have children.

That’s why we believe this new trend poses a significant threat for the existence of the human race. The Church has to address this and say it’s a bad thing, but we’ve seen that authorities in some countries have been trying to silence clergymen. One Protestant pastor went to jail for calling same-sex marriage a sin in his sermon.

Again, this is very reminiscent of what was happening under Soviet totalitarianism. In the countries that declare their commitment to freedom of speech, you can get punished for expressing your opinion. That’s a dangerous trend, and I hope it will peter out and the natural order of things will prevail. I don’t even want to think about what might happen to us otherwise. Our prayers and our work are so that humanity lives on and follows the principles dictated by our moral nature.

Amar’s comments created a fierce political backlash from members of Knesset and the Jerusalem City Council who helped get the rabbi, who was Sephardic chief rabbi of Israel from 2003 to 2013, elected to his current post. Amar made his comments in an interview with Yisrael Hayom to be published this weekend. In the interview, Amar said that he related to Reform Jews through the prism of the biblical injunction to “turn away from the tents of evil people.”

Asked about his attitude toward the LGBT community, the rabbi said, “This is a cult of abomination, this is clear. This is an abomination. The Torah requires a death sentence for this. This is in the first row of the most severe transgressions.” Amar also rejected the notion that someone may have a homosexual inclination, calling it “nonsense” and arguing instead that “there are desires and a person can overcome it if he wants, like all other desires.”

Following publication of a preview of the interview on Thursday morning, at least one person, Shirley Charlie Kleinman, went to a police station in Tel Aviv to file a complaint against Amar for incitement to murder against homosexuals and posted on Facebook the information sheet she received from the police following submission of the complaint.

“Get involved, be active, complain,” Kleinman wrote on her Facebook page. “Exercise your civil rights and complain, and be supportive even if you are not from the gay community. Let’s try and ensure that this man will not remain in his key public position. This is not an anti-religious issue, I have nothing against religion, every person shall live in accordance with their faith. I do have an interest to protect my rights and your rights to live, and [to live with] dignity.”

Since the start of November the single currency has tumbled by around five per cent against the dollar, to sit at around 1.0584. The two currencies are set to reach parity and the euro could even dip below one. Mr Draghi's comments were seen as a hint that the ECB is set to extend its trillion euro money-printing programme in another desperate bid to shore up the economy.

But the US central bank - the Federal Reserve - is moving in the opposite direction and is expected to raise interest rates next month. As a result, the dollar has experienced a huge rally. Fawad Razaqzada, market analyst at Forex.com, said: "The EUR/USD is still limping, now below 1.06. It could absolutely collapse next week as the dollar appreciates further."

Critics note, however, that the fact checking from these organizations has been been just as highly biased against Donald Trump and in Hillary’s favor as the corporate media coverage. The announcement of the Trump University Settlement is just the latest example. Several liberal news outlets and journalists are claiming the settlement means that Donald Trump is admitting to having committed wide spread fraud.

As a professional that works with class action lawsuits daily most settlement agreements are done because the cost of the defended litigating them would be more than just settling and they typically come with provision the defended is not required to admit any wrong doing. In fact, the Trump University settlement has the same provision namely Donald Trump is not admitting to any wrong doing by settling the case. So why are liberal media outlets spreading fake news? Why are there editorial staffs doing nothing to prevent the spread of this fake news?

We all know that corporate media outlets are biased. Instead, since Twitter, Google and Facebook are so intent on cracking down on this fake news, I will take up Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s suggestion and rely on a “legitimate fact checking organization” to find out the truth about these claims. Looking at Snopes, in typical fashion when the left is lying about something they don’t fact check it. Instead, they write an article about it and don’t fact check the lies being told by the left. The articles they write also tend to include accusations made by the leftist media and exclude exonerating points.

For example, the biggest lie being propagated by the corporate media is, as echoed by NBC Legal Analyst Lisa Bloom, the settlement is an admission of widespread fraud by Donald Trump. So Snopes… Why no fact check here?

His comments, part of a speech to the Catholic institute of Paris, also took aim at Christian and Hindu spiritual leaders, calling on them to do more to stop violence perpetrated in the name of faith. He said: “In order to understand, religious people in Europe must regain the ability to share our religious vocabulary with the rest of the continent. If we treat religiously-motivated violence solely as a security issue, or a political issue, then it will be incredibly difficult – probably impossible – to overcome it.

“A theological voice needs to be part of the response, and we should not be bashful in offering that.” He added: “This requires a move away from the argument that has become increasingly popular, which is to say that Isis is ‘nothing to do with Islam’, or that Christian militia in the Central African Republic are nothing to do with Christianity, or Hindu nationalist persecution of Christians in South India is nothing to do with Hinduism.”

“Until religious leaders stand up and take responsibility for the actions of those who do things in the name of their religion, we will see no resolution.”
