UK - Two words are back on the lips of every investor in the City. “Event risk” has begun to dominate trading floor conversations, as a slew of central bank decisions, legal rulings, and political upheavals threaten to bring an end to the calm that has descended upon the markets.
USA - Americans are experiencing increased intolerance and chaos throughout our politics, culture, colleges, corporate boardrooms and even mainline churches, because the progressive left thinks it is successfully transforming the country, according to one author. These elites consider it “a mopping-up operation and they’re going in for the kill,” Dr Kim Holmes says in a 23-minute video interview.
EUROPE - The process of drawing up a joint EU budget has just commenced: it is the first step to a fiscal union. The idea of having a joint budget has long been pushed forward by the proponents of a more tight integration, just as it has been opposed by the European population at large. The term budgetary or fiscal capacity should be properly understood: it is a joint budget for the eurozone that will be governed by a real treasury in Brussels. To create a collective treasury, Europe’s social and economical model has to be brought in line. For this, Brussels wants all minimum wages to be equal. Martin Schulz, the President of the European Parliament, announced drastic reforms after the Brexit referendum. Following 23 June the aforementioned process of integration will gain momentum and it is likely to encounter upheavals because there is widespread aversion to federalization.
UK - Much excitement from the BBC last week over a report from a body called REN21 – with the headline on its website “Renewable energy surge reaches record levels round the world”. Global spending on renewables, it trumpeted, last year soared to £200 billion, bringing total investment in the past six years alone to more than £1 trillion.
USA - Think the Zika virus is responsible for all the cases of microcephaly in South America? Think again: There is no reliable scientific evidence linking the two. The developmental deformities are actually caused by exposure to toxic insecticide and larvicide chemicals, not Zika virus.
GERMANY - While there have been no official US government-sponsored studies comparing the health of vaccinated to unvaccinated children, several independently funded studies have been done in the US and overseas. The majority of these studies have been conducted abroad, but many involve American children.
GERMANY - If Britain leaves the European Union (EU), Germany may not be far behind, the head of the Berlin Stock Exchange has admitted. Artur Fischer said that the EU is a “thin layer of civilisation” that could be irreparably damaged if Britain votes to leave this month, and if Britain goes there will be a “temptation” for the German people to follow suit.
GERMANY - For the first time since 1990, the Bundeswehr will be increased in size, provided new capabilities and have its budget massively expanded. This was announced by Germany's Minister of Defense, Ursula von der Leyen. According to her announcement, from now on, the German military's "human resources" will be flexibly determined.
GERMANY - At the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA), which opens today in Berlin, the Bundeswehr is demonstrating its ability to wage wars of aggression. The program includes various "troop proficiency demonstrations," performing, for example, the "evacuation" of German nationals from a "crisis zone" for the audience at the Air Show.
USA - America shocked global markets today as it unveiled the worst set of job figures since the recovery out of the financial crisis. The dollar and world stock markets plunged today after it was revealed just 38,000 new US jobs were created last month - below expectations of around 164,000 and the lowest figure since 2010. Furthermore, employers hired 59,000 fewer workers in March and April than had previously been reported. US unemployment fell, but that was in part due to people dropping out of the labour force. America's top stock market the Dow Jones today plunged by more than 100 points amid the dire jobs news, while the US dollar index saw its sharpest fall since early February. It comes just days after a top economist warned the US is on course for another recession.
RUSSIA - Brave Vladimir Putin has banned Jacob Rothschild and his New World Order banking cartel family from entering Russian territory “under any circumstances.” Putin recently reminded his cabinet that he paid off the Rothschild’s debt and “grabbed them by the scruff of the neck and kicked them out Russia’s back door.” This meeting featured the President pounding his fist on the table and vowing to destroy the New World Order, and according to a Kremlin source Putin is making great strides towards this goal. “They do not own the world, and they do not have carte blanch to do whatever they want. If we do not challenge them there will be other issues. We will not be bullied by them.” It is understood that the Rothschild banking racket was a noose tied around the neck of the Russian economy. Once the knot was tightened, the economy would struggle and choke.
USA - When a political system authorizes plunder and when a moral code encourages it, moral degeneration follows swiftly after. Montesquieu opined already in the 18th century that, “There is no greater tyranny than that which is perpetrated under the shield of the law and in the name of justice.”
EUROPE - Citizens in Europe who break new “hate speech” rules on the internet, including those who spread conspiracy theories online, will be forced to attend ‘re-education camps’. According to section 7 of the European Framework National Statute For The Promotion Of Tolerance: Juveniles convicted of committing crimes listed in paragraph (a) will be required to undergo a rehabilitation programme designed to instill in them a culture of tolerance. News of the re-education camps comes after US internet giants Facebook, Twitter, Google, and Microsoft promised to tackle online counter-narratives and hate speech as part of a joint commitment with the EU Commission.
EUROPE - Back in 2014 then Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said the idea of an EU military was a “dangerous fantasy”. So how is it that David Cameron has announced the involvement of a Royal Navy warship in Op Sophia, a mission under the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy? Number Ten announced it would seek UN approval to deploy a Navy vessel to turn back boats carrying both migrants and weapons heading from the EU as the summer season for people trafficking commences.
UK - Rising populism in Europe poses a bigger threat to the global economy than the prospect of a Donald Trump presidency, according to the Pacific Investment Management Company (Pimco). The bond giant warned that a "radical" political party taking power in the eurozone could tear the bloc apart.
