SAUDI ARABIA - A Riyadh-based “Islamic military alliance” has been formed with a mission to fight terrorism, Saudi Arabian state TV has announced. The coalition consists of 34 countries, including the Gulf States, a number of African countries, Turkey, Egypt, Malaysia and Pakistan.
UK - In Saudi Arabia, people who criticize Islam are beheaded. Apart from ISIS jihadists, the people who are most likely to sympathize with using state force to silence criticism of religion appear to be self-proclaimed western “liberals”. Opposing the beheading of gays and the stoning of women is a 'hate crime'!
USA - For almost ten years now, Delegate Don Dwyer has been valiantly fighting the desperate efforts of the sodomite lobby in Annapolis to redefine the God-given and God-ordained institution of marriage. Since the mission of the Institute on the Constitution is to restore an American Constitutional Republic, we are grateful for the efforts of Delegate Don Dwyer and others as they stand against the anti-American sodomite agenda.
USA - Over the years there has been a politically correct progression of words to describe those who come to the United States illegally. At first it was illegal aliens, then illegal immigrants, followed by undocumented immigrants or undocumented workers. Of course, the perpetually offended PC crowd is always looking for gentle new words to describe the obvious, so they’ve come up with something that defies all logic.
USA - What do you get when you add together one of the strongest El Ninos ever recorded, the worst year for wildfires in US history, and unprecedented earthquake swarms in diverse places all over the country? Since the end of the summer, America has been hit with a truly unusual series of natural disasters.
UK - Most people don’t put too much thought into what toilet they use. Unless they need a disabled facility, they either head for the men’s or women’s loos. But there are a growing number in today’s society who don’t have such an easy decision to make – transgender and non-binary people. Gender neutral toilets have already been implemented in certain places across the UK, such as Lancaster University – which has gender neutral toilets in the new library, and the students’ union nightclub, The Sugarhouse - as well as the University of Northampton. Over in America the White House has already moved with the times too. These trans campaigners think it's the only logical solution to make sure every British citizen is able to go to the toilet in peace.
CHINA - Since China's capital city Beijing issued its first ever air pollution red alert last week, sales of bottled Canadian fresh mountain air to Chinese customers have soared. Two entrepreneurs from Alberta have been selling Vitality Air for just over a year, but over the last two weeks their sales to China have increased dramatically, reports The People's Daily Online. The red alert over air pollution was issued by Beijing authorities on December 7, lasting three days, amid the second bout of bad air this month. When the red alert was issued in China, the authorities announced plans to close schools, temporarily shut factories and take half of the city's cars off the roads. The country's high pollution levels have been described as an environmental crisis by the World Health Organisation.
USA - It is going to be much more difficult for Donald Trump to win the Republican nomination than most people think. In order to win the nomination, a candidate must secure at least 1,237 of the 2,472 delegates that are up for grabs.
USA - The US Defense Department (DOD) is preparing to expand its global network of military bases by establishing a new “string” of bases in countries stretching from Africa to East Asia, unnamed Pentagon officials told the New York Times Wednesday. The enlarged US basing arrangements will include at least four new large-scale bases or “hubs,” including new facilities in East Africa and West Africa and Afghanistan, along with a greater number of smaller camps or “spokes,” sources told the Times. The new bases, which the Pentagon describes as “enduring” bases, will host forces ranging from dozens of commandos up to 5,000 soldiers at the largest hubs, the unnamed military officials said.
GERMANY - You probably didn't notice, but a few hours ago, the world took a huge step towards the goal of achieving clean, limitless energy through nuclear fusion. Physicists in Germany announced that they've just fired up one of the world's largest nuclear fusion machines for the first time – and it was successfully able to contain super-hot blobs of helium gas, otherwise known as plasma.
GERMANY - The founders of the European Union wanted it to give Christendom modern democratic form, but this is now nearly invisible. One day, a historian will pinpoint exactly when we in the West started talking about Muslims. It came surprisingly late. Even in anti-immigration rhetoric, mention of religion used to be rare. The issue then was race. Enoch Powell’s famous “Rivers of Blood” speech of 1968 did not tackle religion. In the index of Simon Heffer’s definitive biography of Powell, the words “Islam” and “Muslim” do not appear.
GERMANY - One thing you might have noticed if you’ve followed the short history of Germany’s migrant “miracle” is that citizens’ celebratory mood has gradually been replaced by a creeping skepticism towards the asylum seekers and towards the “iron chancellor’s” open-door policy for refugees.
GERMANY - Martin Bahrmann, a local politician in the Saxon town of Meissen, was just preparing to speak in a council debate on refugee shelters when a ball-point pen ricoched off the back of his head. It was a cheap, plastic writing utensil - blue with white writing.
GERMANY - Germany is increasingly vulnerable to security threats from the overwhelming refugee influx, new figures show. German security services say over 1,000 Islamists could commit “serious crimes,” and many Germans feel their country is now unsafe. Around 1,100 radical Islam supporters in Germany are potentially ready to conduct attacks, the head of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Hans-Georg Maassen told MDR radio on Friday. At least 430 of those Islamists are so dangerous that "a serious crime can be expected from them at any moment."
UK - A Tory cabinet minister has said that Britain’s increasingly secular society risks “pushing more young Muslims into the arms of Isis”. Stephen Crabb, the Welsh secretary, used a speech to claim that a “hard-edged” secularism in Britain was partly to blame for “aiding and abetting” extremism, as mainstream religion is marginalised in public life.
