GERMANY - A hostile wave of “open and aggressive” antisemitism is swamping Germany with government officials cautioning it has been rising steadily since Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7 last year. “We have experienced a tsunami of antisemitism since October 7th,” Federal Government Commissioner for Anti-Semitism, Felix Klein, said in an interview with the AFP news agency, as reported by Welt. The deadly Hamas attack “further broke the existing dams regarding antisemitism in our society,” he added. This is reflected in the police crime statistics for 2023 with around 5,000 antisemitic crimes, half of which were committed after October 7th, and all in the wake of growing numbers of migrants still pouring into the country, the report notes.
USA - A former FBI specialist who was persecuted for questioning January 6 said during a hearing with lawmakers on Capitol Hill that Americans should stock up on food and prepare for hardship. The former FBI staffer urged Americans to use their right to vote despite any doubts they may have about election integrity. “My other recommendations are in the natural order,” Allen continued, “Arm yourself and know how to defend yourself, make three to four friends in your neighborhood and promise to come to each other’s mutual aid in times of hardship.” “And during the great depression, people stocked up their pantry, so I think that’s a good practice especially in our economic times, and make sure you have three to four months of food,” he added. Allen also urged Americans to pray and read the bible regularly.
LEBANON - A lot of big names have been killed in the Middle East during the past 12 months, but the death of Hassan Nasrallah is something completely different. He was believed to be a direct descendant of Muhammed. In Shia Islam, this is a really, really big deal. An attack on Nasrallah is literally considered to be an attack on the family of Muhammad himself, and this is why we are witnessing so much rage in Islamic nations all over the world right now. I don’t know why hardly anyone in the western world is talking about this. For Shia radicals, there must be vengeance for the death of Nasrallah. There simply is no other option.
LEBANON - Israeli PM 'tricked' Hezbollah by flying to the US before authorising IDF to launch apocalyptic airstrikes to 'kill' terror group's leader, leaving Beirut in ruins and the Middle East on the brink of 'all-out war'. Beirut has been left a smouldering wreck after intense IDF airstrikes pounded key Hezbollah targets, including the organisation's headquarters where a top leader was thought to be hiding, as one official declared Israel was 'going to war' with Lebanon.
MIDDLE EAST - Nearly all of Hezbollah’s military leaders have been eliminated in recent Israeli strikes, officials in West Jerusalem have claimed, after the group’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in a bombardment of a compound in Beirut. In a post on X on Saturday, the Israeli Foreign Ministry released a diagram of what it said was Hezbollah's military chain of command. All of the 18 high-ranking members – including Nasrallah and Ali Karaki, the commander of Hezbollah’s Southern front, and the heads of several units – are said to have been “eliminated.”
YEMEN - Yemen’s Houthi rebels have attacked American warships in the Middle East with a combined drone and cruise missile strike, the Pentagon confirmed on Friday. Earlier in the day, the military group claimed to have struck three US destroyers heading toward Israel in the Red Sea. Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh confirmed that US Navy ships were attacked but insisted that no damage was inflicted. “We did see a complex attack launched by the Houthis that ranged from cruise missiles to UAVs,” she said at a press briefing on Friday. “My understanding is that those were either engaged and shot down or failed; at no time did any hit a US ship.”
AUSTRIA - Politics in a central European country of just 10 million people might not seem consequential. But that’s not the case in Austria, where there’s a good chance its election Sunday will be won by a far-right, pro-Russia party that was founded by former Nazis. A win for the Freedom Party, or FPÖ, would not just have historical connotations — Austria was the birthplace of Adolf Hitler — it could tilt the balance of power between Russia and the West. Though small, Austria has for centuries enjoyed outsized influence as a crossroads at the heart of Europe. Its neutral status, neither officially allied with NATO nor Russia, means that for centuries it has served as an arena for politicians, diplomats and spies trying to tilt the geopolitical balance.
USA - Hurricane Helene has left 4.4 million people without power and at least 30 dead across four states as it battered Georgia and moved into the Carolinas early on Friday. The storm has been downgraded to a tropical depression and is located about 125 miles southeast of Louisville, Kentucky, as of Friday afternoon. It was updated to Category 4 earlier in the evening, and hit the Florida's Big Bend region just after 11 pm with maximum sustained winds of 140 mph. But the damage extended hundreds of miles to the north, with flooding as far away as North Carolina, where a lake used in scenes from the movie 'Dirty Dancing' overtopped a dam. At least 15 people have died in Georgia and 17 in South Carolina due to the storm. Helene had already spurred warnings and several states of emergencies, not only Florida, but all the way to Georgia and the Carolinas. More than 60 million Americans in 12 states are under some form of advisory.
USA - A US Roman Catholic diocese in Long Island, New York has announced a massive bankruptcy settlement under which it will pay out $323 million to hundreds of survivors of alleged sexual abuse by clergy members. The Rockville Center reached a preliminary settlement on Thursday with about 600 plaintiffs who claimed they were sexually abused by priests as children, according to a law firm representing the survivors. The diocese had previously offered the survivors a $200 million settlement, which they reportedly rejected. “The diocese’s goal has always been the equitable compensation of survivors of abuse while allowing the church to continue her essential mission,” Diocese spokesperson Eric Fasano told News 12.
HUNGARY - It is wrong that “peace” has become a curse word in international politics, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has insisted. The fighting between Russia and Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East are at risk of escalating and could “undermine global security at any moment,” Szijjarto said in his speech during the Summit of the Future at UN headquarters in New York on Monday. Humanity could be faced with two “sad” scenarios if tensions keep mounting: the outbreak of a Third World War or the world again being divided into blocs, he warned. The question now is whether such outcomes could be avoided and “whether the global pro-peace majority can ensure that the word ‘peace’ is not used as a swear word in international politics,” the foreign minister stressed.
GERMANY - Yet another regional election, this time in Brandenburg, has not been able to break the country’s political deadlock. After Thuringia and Saxony voted, Germany has just had another important regional election, this time in the land of Brandenburg. As in the two preceding cases, the Brandenburg election is far more than a local event. Its results reflect and affect German politics as a whole. But Brandenburg is also special, because it was the last of the three. We can now assess their results as a whole. The SPD managed to win in Brandenburg. If win is the word: It leads the right/far-right newcomer party Alternative for Germany (AfD) by less than two percent – 30.9% against 29.2%. If this had happened as little as two years ago, all of Germany would have recognized it for what it really is: another humiliating setback for the Social Democrats.
UKRAINE - Ukraine should accept “temporary” Russian control over some territories as the likely outcome of the conflict between the countries, Czech President Petr Pavel has said. Pavel, who is an outspoken supporter of Ukraine, told the New York Times that neither Moscow nor Kiev seem able to achieve their maximalist goals. “To talk about a defeat of Ukraine or defeat of Russia, it will simply not happen,” Pavel told the US outlet in the interview published on Monday. “So the end will be somewhere in between.” With conflict fatigue “growing everywhere” and “populists” like Viktor Orban of Hungary and Robert Fico of Slovakia disrupting EU unity, according to Pavel, Ukrainians need to be “realistic about the support that they can achieve.”
ISRAEL - Hezbollah fired a large ballistic missile known as the FATEH-110 at Tel Aviv last night, sending residents running to bomb shelters. Thankfully the Iranian 650kg surface to surface missile was intercepted by David’s sling and no one was hurt. Hezbollah claimed responsibility and said it was in retaliation for the assassinations of their senior terrorists and for the pager/walkie-talkie explosions. Israel didn’t waste any time in launching massive airstrikes against Hezbollah. As of this morning, the IDF reported that they had destroyed 60 Hezbollah intelligence sites. That wasn’t all. They’ve also destroyed 280 different targets as well.
ISRAEL - IDF Northern Commander Major General Uri Gordon on Wednesday told his forces that "we need to be very ready to go into action and to invade" Lebanon in the rising escalation against Hezbollah. Speaking to Brigade 7, he emphasized that their actions must change the security reality for Israel's 60,000 northern residents who have been evacuated from their homes for nearly a year. In addition, Gordon said, "We have entered a new phase in the conflict, and now we are fighting as part of Operation Northern Arrows." Sources have told the Jerusalem Post that the key parts of any ground invasion should be wrapped up by around the start of November to avoid major manoeuvrers in Lebanon's mountainous winter weather.
USA - The Biden-Harris regime is once again prioritizing foreign interests over the well-being of American citizens, with plans to announce an eye-watering $8 billion in military aid for Ukraine during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Washington. This massive giveaway comes as Americans continue to face economic hardships, skyrocketing inflation, and an unprecedented crisis at the southern border. According to sources from Reuters, the US government is scrambling to finalize a $5.6 billion military aid package from existing American weapons stocks before the September 30 fiscal year-end deadline. As Americans continue to see record-high grocery bills, stagnant wages, and violent crime increasing in cities like Chicago and San Francisco, Biden’s regime prioritizes Zelensky’s war effort.
