Stocks plunge amid fears of US economy 'collapse'

USA - Stocks sunk on Friday morning after investors were spooked by a weak jobs report. The unemployment rate fell to the lowest level in almost three years - hitting 4.3 percent in July. The Nasdaq dropped 2.2 percent, pushing it into correction territory, down more than 10 percent from a record high on July 11. The S&P 500 was headed for its worst session in around two years, as recession fears accelerated on Wall Street.

Pope Francis Tells Pro-LGBT Conference He Will Be Spiritually United

VATICAN - While globalist Pope Francis purges conservatives from the Church, he publicly embraces leftist radicals. This week, Francis sent a handwritten letter of support to Father James Martin to share his support of an upcoming pro-LGBT Outreach conference Martin is participating in. “Outreach 2024” will be held from August 2 to 4 at Georgetown University “that will bring together LGBTQ Catholics, their friends and families and those who minister to them.” Outreach 2024 shared the letter from Francis on their website:

Secret Service Counter-Sniper Predicts another Attempt On Trump

USA - A steady drip of damning revelations about the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump is starting to lead to agents in the Secret Service making predictions that it won’t be long before a second attempt is made on his life. “A Secret Service counter sniper sent an email Monday night to the entire Uniformed Division saying he will not stop speaking out until ‘5 high-level supervisors are either fired or removed from their current positions,'” Crabtree wrote on X. “The counter sniper also said the agency ‘SHOULD expect another assassination attempt’ before November and complained that he is no longer proud to be a USSS counter sniper after leadership failed the officers at the Trump rally in Butler on 7/13.”

Israel assassinates top Hamas leader in Iran

MIDDLE EAST - Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has been assassinated alongside one of his bodyguards, officials in Iran say. It comes just hours after he attended the inauguration of Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, and met with the nation's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. Haniyeh was killed in an airstrike at a residence in the capital, Tehran, Hamas said in a statement early on Wednesday. Israel does not often comment on assassinations carried out by its Mossad intelligence agency. Nader Hashemi, a professor of Middle Eastern Studies at Georgetown University, warned the killing of Haniyeh has brought the Middle East closer to an all-out war than any time before.

Iran's Supreme Leader 'orders direct attack on Israel'

IRAN - Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has ordered a direct attack on Israel in retaliation for the assassination of Hamas's political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh. Security sources told the New York Times that Khamenei is enraged by the killing in Tehran and wants an immediate response. The Supreme Leader gave the order at an emergency meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council this morning, following the announcement that Haniyeh had been killed. This has been revealed by three Iranian officials, two of whom are members of the Revolutionary Guards. Their names are not publicly known. Iran vowed a “harsh and painful response” to the rocket attack on a veteran’s facility in northern Tehran. Khamenei also said that “avenging Haniyeh’s blood (is) our duty”.

Iran’s shadow war with Israel

IRAN - The assassination of Ismail Haniyeh is a catastrophic humiliation for the Iranian regime, and one that pushes its shadow war with Israel into its most dangerous phase yet. Haniyeh’s demise is not particularly shocking: Israel, a country famed for its ability to assassinate its foes abroad, named him a “dead man walking” after the October 7 massacre. Haniyeh, the political and symbolic figurehead of Hamas, was killed in the heart of Iran, the one place in the Middle East where he would have expected total protection. The assassination happened after many of Iran’s regional allies and proxies had travelled to the safety of Tehran for the inauguration of the new president. There can be little doubt that Iranian leaders will be under immense pressure to launch an unprecedented response to this killing. Whether they will yield to that pressure is less clear.

Israel strikes Beirut in bold attack

LEBANON - The Israeli military said it struck the Lebanese capital of Beirut, targeting the militant commander allegedly behind the deaths of 12 children and teens. Fears of all out war in the Middle East were growing last night after Israel attacked the Lebanese capital Beirut - in revenge for the deadly weekend rocket assault on the Golan Heights. Israel’s army confirmed it carried out a ‘precision’ strike in southern Beirut, targeting a Hezbollah commander it said was responsible for the weekend attack on the Golan Heights, which cost the lives of 12 children and young adults.

Paris rocked by 'empty stadiums and apartments'

FRANCE - Paris has so far failed to attract record visitors for the Olympics, with a concerning number of rentals remaining empty. Behind the sounds of the roaring crowds of spectators at the Paris 2024 Olympics are empty Airbnb rentals and half full stadiums. Prior to the games, some Parisian owners saw it as a golden opportunity to score jackpots, but now it seems to be turning into a fiasco. Only 12 percent of flat rentals on platforms such as Airbnb are booked over the entire period of the Olympic Games. That's according to an article from Le Parisien based on data provided by AirDNA, which specialises in statistical analysis of short-term rentals. Meanwhile, almost 20 percent have not recorded any bookings at all.

The radical Left hates Catholics

USA - Now they’re calling Trump and Vance “weird.” Why? Because they think you are weird. Getting married. Having kids. Going to church. Believing in God… is weird? Their strategy is simple: make Kamala Harris and the radical Left “normal.” Remember, these are the same people who dress up in drag, march in perverted parades, call having children a threat to the environment, celebrate sexual deviancy and pornography... For Kamala Harris, Catholics are too weird to serve as federal judges… too weird to practice medicine… too weird to manage foster care and adoption programs… too weird to choose a school that’s best for their kids… too weird to care for vulnerable women who need help. But it’s worse than this. It’s not just that they think we are “weird.” They want to remake the entire country… and we’re in the way. The radical Left hates Catholics.

Microsoft hit with another global outage

USA - Microsoft has been hit by a global outage less than two week since its systems were brought down by a bug-riddled update that sparked chaos for millions. The disruption is impacting emails, Xbox Live and 365 functions, all of which were knocked offline on July 19.

Athletes Ditch Failing ‘Eco-Friendly’ Olympic Village for Hotels

FRANCE - Athletes are ditching Paris’s Olympic village for greener pastures after being forced to deal with “vegan-friendly” food, cardboard beds, no air conditioning, cramped rooms, and long commutes to their competitions. Team USA tennis star Coco Gauff revealed over the weekend that her entire team has gone to a hotel after having to share two bathrooms amongst ten competitors, the Daily Mail reported. The $1.6 billion facility built to house the world’s best athletes was reportedly created with an “eco-friendly” mission — meaning stuffy temperatures caused by a complete lack of air conditioning and a shortage of meat products.

UK in Grip of Top Down Starvation Policy

UK - After three months of relentless rain from March to the end of May 2024 covering much of the productive land in the UK, farmers found themselves months behind getting their Spring crops in the soil. Many of these farms are already suffering a dangerous nutrient deficit; soils depleted after four to five decades of agrichemically dependent monocultural mining operations that have reduced the top six inches of soils – normally alive with microscopic insects and worms – to little more than dead matter entirely dependent on synthetic nitrate fertilisers and toxic pesticides to grow anything other than weeds. But these chemical inputs are becoming increasingly expensive and coupled with yields that are no longer sufficient to bring in profits, a large proportion of commercial UK arable farmers are on the edge of bankruptcy.

The American Military Is No Longer “Prepared” to Fight in a Major War

USA - The US military is no longer “prepared” to fight in a major war, according to a new study conducted by a congressional panel. Though the threats the US is facing are “the most serious and most challenging” it has seen in almost a century, the US defense base is not equipped to meet the moment, according to a report from the Commission on the National Defense Strategy published on Monday. Among the biggest problems outlined in the report are a troubled Pentagon and a failure by the federal government to properly address threats emanating from adversaries like China and Russia.

US national debt tops $35 trillion

USA - The debt reached the new “alarming milestone” with $1 trillion in borrowing added this year alone. The US has reached “yet another dubious milestone” with its national debt surpassing the mark of $35 trillion, the US House Budget Committee announced on Monday. The head of the Committee, Representative Jodey Arrington (Republican for Texas) branded the development an “alarming milestone,” urging more fiscal and spending responsibility to fix the ballooning national-debt growth. “Today, we grieve yet another dubious milestone in the fiscal decline of the most powerful and prosperous nation in history,” Arrington said in a statement, expressing hopes the Republican Party will be able to somehow alleviate the situation if Donald Trump wins the November election.

Just what is an Apostle?

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!

Listen to Me, You who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My Law: …I have put My words in your mouth, I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, “you are My people” (Isaiah 51:7,16)
