USA - A story from Oregon caught my attention because of its focus on diesel fuel and the energy crisis, but by the second paragraph I realized the bigger part of the story was the attack happening to our food supply. At a time when eggs, milk, butter, beef, and chicken products are becoming scarcer and more expensive, Democrats think it’s wise to place a moratorium on new and existing dairy and poultry farms. Seriously. For over a year we’ve been ringing the alarm bell about the inconceivable attacks on our food supply being done in the name of climate change. From the World Economic Forum’s goals of eliminating farms to Bill Gates’ intentions of forcing lab-grown meat on us, it’s clear American leftists and worldwide globalists are aligned against us to take complete control of the food supply.
SWITZERLAND - The World Economic Forum (WEF) is hailing the opportunity presented by the global banking crisis to advance toward its goal of a “cashless society.” Klaus Schwab’s WEF believes that the recent collapse of several large banks has created an ideal argument for “the end of cash.” The WEF has teamed up with key banking elites to present plans for eradicating the traditional monetary system and replacing it with centralized digital cash.
ISRAEL - Last September, five red heifers arrived in Israel amid great fanfare, because some Jews and Gentiles believe red heifers are a key element leading to the building of the Third Jewish Temple. The heifers are now in a secure, undisclosed location in Israel. Plans include moving them, sometime soon, to a visitor’s center in Shiloh, where the tabernacle of the Lord once stood for nearly 400 years. The book of Numbers explains that ashes of the red heifer are used to purify priests for their service in the Temple: (Numbers 19:1-5).
ISRAEL - Kohelet, the once-obscure think tank that conceived and now champions a revamped court system, is an American import. Tens of thousands of Israelis protested the government’s judicial overhaul plan on March 11. As part of a recent “national day of resistance,” a group of army reservists wearing masks converged at the Jerusalem office of a think tank and blocked its front door with sandbags and coils of barbed wire. Outside, protesters led a noisy rally on the street, waving dozens of placards and sharing a microphone for a series of furious speeches. “The Kohelet Policy Forum has been hiding in the shadows,” shouted one speaker, standing atop a car. “But we are onto them and we will not let them win!”
ISRAEL - A divisive proposal. A package of proposed legislation for a far-reaching overhaul of the judicial system in Israel has set off mass protests by those who say it will destroy the country’s democratic foundations. Here is what to know: What changes are being proposed? Israel’s right-wing government wants to change the makeup of a committee that selects judges to give representatives and appointees of the government a majority. The legislation would also restrict the Supreme Court’s ability to strike down laws passed by Parliament and weaken the authority of the attorney general, who is independent of the government.
ISRAEL - The High Court of Justice ruled on Sunday that National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir may not issue operational orders to police forces regarding how they manage demonstrations and the use of force during protests. In response, Ben Gvir assailed the ruling as a “coup” by the court that “cancels the executive branch.” The court also ruled that the far-right minister may not instruct the police as to what crowd dispersal methods to use, or when, where and how protestors involved in civil disobedience can be forcibly dispersed.
CHINA - Xi Jinping said China was ready with Russia “to stand guard over the world order based on international law” as he landed in Moscow for a state visit days after Vladimir Putin was made the subject of an arrest warrant by the international criminal court. The Chinese leader is expected to position himself as a potential peacemaker in the Ukraine war during his first state visit to Russia since Putin’s invasion. For his part, the Russian president will be hoping to project unity in the face of western isolation.
UK - The stock market opened lower today despite the Bank of England rushing to reassure investors after the dramatic rescue of Credit Suisse. The FTSE 100 index dropped more than 1 per cent after opening, to its lowest level since early November - with traders braced for another tense day. Switzerland's second biggest lender was bought by rival UBS in a sensational shotgun wedding of two of Switzerland's most established financial institutions last night.
USA - A new study published on the Social Science Research Network estimates that 186 other banks are at risk of failing like the now-doomed Silicon Valley Bank, USA Today reports. Per the study, the banks could fail if only 50 percent of customers decide to suddenly pull their money, amounting to a run on the bank. "Even if only half of uninsured depositors decide to withdraw, almost 190 banks are at a potential risk of impairment to insured depositors, with potentially $300 billion of insured deposits at risk," the study's abstract says. "If uninsured deposit withdrawals cause even small fire sales, substantially more banks are at risk."
UK - If your phone suddenly blasts out a siren in a few weeks time, try not to be startled - at least not on this occasion. The UK Government is planning on sending a "siren-like" emergency warning to mobile phone users across the UK next month in order to test a new public alert system. The alert is due to be sent on Sunday, April 23, and people won't be able to access other features on their phones unless they acknowledge it.
GERMANY - In the first high-ministerial government consultations held between the two countries, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reached out to Tokyo to seek to reduce Germany’s dependence on China for imports of raw materials. “The current challenges of our time make it clear: It is important to expand cooperation with close partners and acquire new partners. We want to reduce dependencies and increase the resilience of our economies.” the German chancellor said in a tweet.
ISRAEL - One sentence has dominated talks between Benjamin Netanyahu and his associates, a sort of mantra that reflects the prime minister's mindset in recent years, especially since returning to power. "Everything is reversible," Netanyahu often tells his associates – his trial, governance, and legislation. "Everything is reversible except for one thing – if Iran goes nuclear, that is the end of us". Netanyahu's main focus is on the Iranian nuclear threat and the recent distancing of Saudi Arabia and is only occasionally interrupted by domestic problems. He loses his image as a great statesman when he is drawn into the affairs of the Knesset.
ISRAEL - Israel’s former prime minister on Thursday urged world leaders to shun Israel’s current prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, as he presses ahead with a plan to overhaul the country’s justice system. The United States and Germany, two of Israel’s closest allies, called on Netanyahu to slow down. The rare calls for restraint and international intervention came as thousands of Israelis once again took to the streets to protest Netanyahu’s plan.
UK - Intelligent AI robots are coming - and they will have the ability to perform religious ceremonies and could even turn against humans, experts have warned. As AI becomes more prominent in our day to day lives, it wasn’t going to be long before the worlds of religion and tech merged. Wesley Wildman, Professor of Philosophy, Theology, and Ethics, and of Computing and Data Sciences at Boston University, told The Sun that he believes AI will soon be able to perform religious duties even better than human priests.
CHINA - China has unveiled its latest technological exploit - an AI news anchor who claims to have the professional skills of a "thousand presenters". The virtual robot journalist, named Ren Xiaorong, now exists to deliver the news and answer questions 24 hours a day, yet there is a catch. The creepily human-like avatar, however clever, can only respond from a pre-written script and also peddles the Chinese Communist Party's official line.
