Now, driven by government mandate, climate hysteria, and perhaps some aspects of consumer status EVs are on the scene again. But they still have essentially the same big problem they did around the turn of the last century: The infrastructure of the country is not set up to accommodate them, because they don’t fit the needs of the country nearly as well as gasoline-powered vehicles. ...The current problems with EVs can be seen by looking back 100 or so years. As so often happens, there is nothing new under the sun.

In a country with a shrinking center, even bonds of religious fellowship seem too brittle to endure. If history is any guide, it’s a sign of sharper polarization to come.

In February 2021, after three severe winter storms, the power grid in the southern state was damaged, causing power failure to millions of Texans. The power outage led to a lack of food, water and warmth and caused hundreds of people to die, and resulted in a $195 (£168.2) billion loss.

As the arctic blast makes its way towards the state, five tornadoes were confirmed in north Texas as of Tuesday afternoon... Dozens of homes and businesses were damaged by the line of thunderstorms, and several people were injured in the suburbs and counties stretching north of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

State officials recently announced that water agencies like Metropolitan will only get five percent of their requested supplies for the start of 2023 due to lower reservoir levels. The river's two largest reservoirs — Lake Mead on the Nevada-Arizona state line and Lake Powell on the Arizona-Utah border — are each about one-quarter full.

It manipulates us and shapes our perception by the constant stream of fake push news, it distracts us from the real world with oh so funny little games and needless info from (anti)social networks, it isolates us from each other and it destroys basic human communication as it is so much easier to send some stupid text messages than to talk face to face or voice to voice.

With every app we download and use we give up more of our freedom and personal liberty and dehumanize ourselves. We voluntarily put a digital chain around our necks and pull it tighter and tighter.

“How did an ideology-driven elite manage to completely destroy the livelihoods of such a well-educated people as the Germans?” shouts Karin Viehweg, a far-right activist in her late 50s, over the loudspeaker in late November, nodding to the cost-of-living crisis and Germany’s left-leaning government led by Chancellor Olaf Scholz. “The citizens of the GDR didn’t go into the streets in 1989 to land in a new Red-Green socialism, did they?” she adds, referring to the Communist and Soviet-backed German Democratic Republic that ruled East Germany from 1949 to 1990. As Viehweg speaks, the crowd holds up posters demanding an end to arming Ukraine and restarting gas imports from Russia, calling sanctions “economic suicide.”

These demonstrations, held every Monday, have popped up all over eastern Germany — styled after weekly protests in the 1980s against the GDR. While the protests began in 2020 over COVID-19 lockdowns, they have swelled in recent months as anger mounts in Germany amid the economic fallout from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The Alternative for Germany, a far-right party, is a regular fixture at these demonstrations. The party has opposed arming Ukraine or sanctioning Russia — a position that is resonating with some voters as the AfD polls at near-record levels nationally and looks poised to come first in some state elections in 2024.

Concerns over the far-right’s rise only grew larger this week, after 25 people were arrested Wednesday, including a former AfD MP, over plans to storm parliament. German officials said they expect more arrests to follow. That the coup planners had reportedly wanted to try to negotiate with Russia as soon as they took power has placed a larger spotlight on how the far-right in Germany — if not much of Europe — is being emboldened by the war in Ukraine.

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh claimed the December 9 incident was provoked by Chinese troops who attempted to cross the border. “The ensuing faceoff led to a physical scuffle in which the Indian Army bravely prevented the PLA from transgressing into our territory and compelled them to return to their posts,” Singh said.

The fighting was reportedly resolved rather quickly as commanders from both sides sat down to discuss the situation. According to Singh, the Chinese side was asked to “refrain from such actions and maintain peace and tranquility” along the border. Beijing, however, does not seem to have acknowledged that a confrontation took place. Tension on the border has escalated recently. India and the US held joint military exercises in the region last month, much to the ire of Beijing, which said such drills did “not help build bilateral trust.”

Beijing has ramped up military, diplomatic and economic pressure since the 2016 election of Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, who rejects its stance that the island is part of China. In a daily update on Tuesday morning Taiwan's defence ministry said 21 aircraft entered the island's southwest air defence identification zone (ADIZ) over the last 24 hours, including 18 nuclear-capable H-6 bombers.

That represents by far the largest daily sortie by H-6 bombers since Taipei first began releasing daily incursion data in September 2020, according to a database maintained by AFP. The wave came after China slapped fresh import bans on Taiwanese food, beverages, alcohol and fishery products last week, prompting Premier Su Tseng-chang to accuse Beijing of violating international trade rules and "discriminating" against the island.

The globalist cabal includes but is not limited to government heads, bankers and members of nongovernmental organizations (NGO’s) and liberal think tanks around the world. One way in which the cabal hides its undemocratic influence is by having its members in dozens of different organizations. When several organizations agree on an issue, it makes it appear as though there’s a majority view, a consensus. But in reality, it’s the same small group of individuals asserting their agenda.

Here's a couple of examples… The NHS is constantly pleading poverty, but that didn't stop Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals creating a role for a 'Head of Leadership, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing' on the thick end of £76,000 a year — triple the starting salary of a junior doctor. In Surrey, they were desperately seeking an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead on 53 grand, plus an extra five per cent allowance to compensate for the cost of living and commuting in one of the more expensive parts of the country.

The job of the NHS, for instance, is to treat patients. Full stop. Not to tell staff how to think. Yet if the salary structure is any indication, the Left-wing bureaucrats who run the health service value equality and diversity officers above nurses, ambulance drivers and junior doctors. With seven million people waiting for operations, how can the NHS justify spending 76 grand, plus perks, on a 'Head of Leadership, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing'?

The global economy has already exited a four-decade era of stable growth and inflation to enter a period of heightened instability — and the new regime of increased unpredictability is here to stay, according to the world’s biggest asset manager. That means policymakers will no longer be able to support markets as much as they did during past recessions, a team of BlackRock strategists led by vice chairman Philipp Hildebrand wrote in a report titled 2023 Global Outlook.

“Recession is foretold as central banks race to try to tame inflation. It’s the opposite of past recessions,” they said. “Central bankers won’t ride to the rescue when growth slows in this new regime, contrary to what investors have come to expect. Equity valuations don’t yet reflect the damage ahead.” This is not good news when companies are laying off, inflation is at 40-year-highs and Americans are building up credit card debt while most businesses are behind on their heating bills already. The Biden Economy is falling apart.

As North Carolina’s “sole fiduciary,” Folwell said in the letter that he is “skeptical” Fink “would or could lead the necessary course correction” and has lost confidence in his leadership due to Fink’s driving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies. “Larry Fink’s pursuit of a political agenda has gotten in the way of BlackRock’s same fiduciary duty. A focus on ESG is not a focus on returns and potentially could force us to violate our own fiduciary duty,” he wrote in the letter. “There is no blue money or red money at the treasurer’s office, only green.”

Beck says transgender health services are now hurting children. "There are thousands of gender clinics being put up over all of America," he said. "As soon as [kids] go in and say, 'I'm a tomboy' or 'This makes me feel comfortable,' and then a psychologist says, 'Oh, you're transgender.' And then the next day, you're on hormones – the same hormones they are using for medical castration for pedophiles. Now, they are giving this to healthy 13-year-olds."

"Does this seem right? This is why I am trying to tell America to wake up," he said. "This is a billion-dollar industry between psychologists, between surgeries, between hormones, between chemicals, between follow-up treatments. There are thousands of gender clinics popping up all over our country. And each of those gender clinics is going to be pulling in probably over $50 million," Beck surmised.
