USA - For the very first time since the last financial crisis, the Federal Reserve has been forced to conduct an emergency intervention in the repo market. The repo market plays a critical role in our financial system, because it allows our banks to rapidly borrow money, and that money is often used to purchase financial instruments such as Treasury bonds. But this week interest rates in the repo market started to shoot up to frightening levels, and the Federal Reserve was forced to intervene for the first time since the financial crisis of 2008.

For months the Fed has been trying to publicly convince us that the US economy is “strong”, and Fed Chair Jerome Powell recently unequivocally stated that “the Federal Reserve is not currently forecasting a recession”, but the Fed’s actions tell a completely different story.
SAUDI ARABIA - Saudi Arabia’s energy minister said that its oil supplies had resumed and that its oil market would be “fully back online” by the end of September following attacks which Washington blames on Iran while Riyadh is still probing. Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman told the media that oil production in October would reach 9.89 million barrels per day and 12 million bpd by the end of November.
USA - Last month, 53 Americans died in mass shootings… while 40,000 died from obesity. In his fascinating book Unnatural Causes, forensic pathologist Dr Richard Shepherd observes how, over the years, the dead bodies he examines have changed. ISRAEL - Last November, Avigdor Lieberman resigned as Israel’s defense minister when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to reject Lieberman’s plan for a military operation in Gaza and agree to a ceasefire with Hamas instead. At the time, Lieberman called the ceasefire a “surrender to terrorism”, and of course it didn’t last very long at all. Hamas has continued to bombard Israel with rockets in the months since then, and this has once again brought Israel and Hamas to the brink of war. But everything was on hold until Tuesday’s election, and it appears that the outcome of that election is going to make war with Hamas much, much more likely.
USA - US prosecutors described JP Morgan Chase Co as a Criminal entity operating within a bank. The prosecutors charged the head of JPMorgan’s global precious metals trading operation and two others accusing them of “conspiracy to conduct the affairs of an enterprise involved in interstate or foreign commerce through a pattern of racketeering activity.” That’s a reference to the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO, a law often used against organized crime rings. The US has rarely invoked RICO law in big bank cases. Its use suggests that JPMorgan may face deeper legal jeopardy, going beyond the several individuals who have already been prosecuted.
VATICAN - In a renewed and enthusiastic endorsement of globalism, Pope Francis has announced he is hosting an initiative for a “Global Pact” to create a “new humanism.” The global event, set to take place at the Vatican on May 14, 2020, is themed Reinventing the Global Educational Alliance.
UK - NHS bosses have warned nursery staff against referring to ‘boys and girls’ – saying ‘gendered’ language can lead to violence or murder. The guidelines from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are part of a pilot project aimed at creating ‘gender friendly nurseries’. Nursery staff are trained in matters that might lead to gender stereotypes, including how to talk to children and how to avoid ‘unintentional segregation’. A report on it by the Scottish NHS authority states: ‘During the training, we will explore how attitudes and language are part of a sliding scale of violence that can result in physical violence and murder.’ However, last night Piers Shepherd of the Family Education Trust criticised the move, saying: ‘Parts of this have a very authoritarian tone such as challenging parents if they use the wrong terms. Talking about violence ending in murder is very extreme. There seems to be a thought-policing attitude.’
USA - The push by mainstream media and leftist academics to normalize pedophilia as an acceptable sexual identity appears to be reaching a new level of intensity, as an American student shared a powerpoint slide from a college class describing pedophilia in strikingly ambiguous terms on Friday. The twisted lesson asks students to share their opinions on the notion of pedophilia as a sexual orientation. It should go without saying that it simply shouldn’t be regarded as an acceptable or fundamental orientation by anyone in American society.
USA - The Sviatovid sculpture placed in the sanctuary of a New York presbyterian church is a modern artistic rendition of an ancient Pagan god unique to Eastern Europe and was worshiped as the god of war. The sculpture, which is placed in the sanctuary of Binghampton Presbyterian Church in New York, is on display during a festival called the Luma Festival. According to the sculpture’s website, Sviatovid “is inspired by both a ninth-century Slavic deity, and a medieval sculpture of the same name, Sviatovid is a fifteen-foot-tall faceted totem.” The Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) mainline denomination is long apostate and has completely abandoned the true God of the Bible in favor of LGBTQ inclusion, feminism, and social justice. It comes as no surprise that they would have no problem placing an idol in the sanctuary which represents the god they really worship — Satan.
BRAZIL - The first generation were supposed to die, but some didn’t and now the entire mosquito population is at risk of unintended consequences. “Oops” from Technocrat scientists is not acceptable (TN Editor).
An experimental trial to reduce the number of mosquitoes in a Brazilian town by releasing genetically modified mosquitoes has not gone as planned. Traces of the mutated insects have been detected in the natural population of mosquitoes, which was never supposed to happen.
EUROPE - Ursula von der Leyen will face a challenge from her own country shortly after she replaces Jean-Claude Juncker as European Commission President, as Germany plans to thwart her budget plans. The president-in-waiting will face difficulties from day one as her own German government is refusing to back the European Commission’s long-term budget proposals.
GERMANY - An Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) politician has walked out of an interview and threatened a journalist after he was confronted with parallels between his rhetoric and that of Adolf Hitler. Five AfD delegates said they could not tell if the line “When the turning point is reached, then we Germans won’t do things by halves, we will dispose of the rubbish heaps of modernity” was from Höcke or Hitler, and one delegate said the line was more likely to be from Mein Kampf. The revival of language long banished from conversations in Germany because of its association with the Nazi era has been a constant feature of the rise of the rightwing populist party, which originally grew out of protest against the decision to commit German taxpayer money to a bailout of Greece in 2013.
SAUDI ARABIA - We must ask ourselves how — while under the watchful eye of the world’s leading military superpower — was it possible for the world’s largest oil processing facility to be targeted so heavily and in such dramatic fashion? As stated by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), “protecting Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf producers has been a cornerstone of US foreign policy for decades” as “providing security for the oil-rich Persian Gulf region has been a US priority since World War II.”
USA - Donald Trump has been warned he cannot declare war without congressional support following the bombing of Saudi Arabian oil facilities. The strikes, which destroyed half of the kingdom’s oil production capacity, were claimed by Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. On Sunday night Mr Trump said the US was “locked and loaded” and believed it knew who was truly behind the attack. But Bernie Sanders, who is gunning for the Democratic nomination for president, tweeted: “Mr Trump, the Constitution of the United States is perfectly clear. Only Congress — not the president — can declare war. And Congress will not give you the authority to start another disastrous war in the Middle East just because the brutal Saudi dictatorship told you to.”
