The AfD wolf is at the door in east Germany

GERMANY - When West and East Germany reunified in 1990, former Chancellor Willy Brandt told a jubilant crowd, “now what belongs together will grow together”. Nearly 30 years later, it seems as though the opposite is happening. The surge of the far-right Alternative for Germany, whose party programme describes Germany’s constitutional order as “an illegitimate state of affairs”. Its leaders regularly claim that they are the only real torchbearers of the peaceful revolution of 1989. And while many of them were born in West Germany, its biggest electoral successes are in the east.

Outrage as neo-Nazi elected town council leader in Germany

GERMANY - The unanimous election of a neo-Nazi politician in Germany as the head of a town council has sparked outrage among senior political figures and calls to have the decision reversed. A political storm is brewing after Stefan Jagsch of the far right-wing extremist National Democratic Party (NDP) became council leader for the small town of Waldsiedlung, in the district of Altenstadt, 30 kilometres (18 miles) north-east of Frankfurt, on Thursday. By Sunday, there were outraged calls from across Germany for the decision to be reversed. - 'Nazis! Never!' - "The SPD has a very clear position: we do not co-operate with Nazis! Never!" the party's general secretary Lars Klingbeil tweeted Saturday. "That applies to federal government, the state and municipalities."

The double shock of global recession and a no-deal Brexit

UK - Britain’s constitutional crisis has hit before the next great spasm of Europe’s intractable monetary crisis. But they are in close competition. The eurozone faces a category five economic storm. It is structurally defenceless as the world slides into recession. This will not be an ordinary downturn because central banks no longer have the instruments to fight it. If there is an October election in the UK - and if it delivers a bigger Tory majority as polls suggest -  EU leaders will have to decide whether to risk adding the shock of a no-deal Brexit to all the other shocks hitting their industries. The double shock of global recession and a no-deal Brexit may be more than Europe can withstand. The US economy has been the last pillar holding up the global edifice. It is now crumbling too....

Phosphate fertiliser 'crisis' threatens world food supply

UK - The world faces an “imminent crisis” in the supply of phosphate, a critical fertiliser that underpins the world’s food supply, scientists have warned. Phosphate is an essential mineral for all life on Earth and is added to farmers’ fields in huge quantities. But rock phosphate is a finite resource and the biggest supplies are mined in politically unstable places, posing risks to the many countries that have little or no reserves. Phosphate use has quadrupled in the last 50 years as the global population has grown and the date when it is estimated to run out gets closer with each new analysis of demand, with some scientists projecting that moment could come as soon as a few decades’ time.

How dare the BBC teach children that there are ‘100 genders’?

UK - “What are the different gender identities?” asks a little boy in one of the nine new BBC Teach films put out to support the personal, social and health education (PSHE) curriculum in schools – to which his head teacher replies: “That’s a really, really exciting question…” Actually, it’s not. And the answer is still less exciting. Which is perhaps why rather than give the boy a bald, biological and distinctly boring fact – “two” – the video cuts to a Relationships and Sex Education teacher, hopped-up on her own gaping-mindedness: “You know, there are so many gender identities,” she enthuses. “We know that we have got male and female, but there are over 100, if not more, gender identities now.”

Temperatures In The Pacific Ocean at Dangerous Levels

USA - It is being called “the Pacific marine heatwave of 2019”, and officials are warning that it could have very frightening implications if it does not dissipate soon. Right now, there is a vast expanse of water stretching from northern Alaska all the way to southern California where the water temperatures have rapidly risen to very dangerous levels. In fact, in some spots the water temperature is already “as much as 6 degrees Fahrenheit above normal”, and there is a tremendous amount of concern about what will happen if the water continues to become even warmer. At this point things are already so bad that we are being warned that this strange anomaly could “ravage marine life and decimate commercial fishing” all along the west coast.

Mass Shootings: The Problem - An Absence Of Morality

USA - On September 1, former police officer and President of the Family Research Council (FRC) Tony Perkins appeared on Fox News to discuss the shooting in Odessa, Texas. During the segment, Perkins, as well as pastor Corey Brooks from New Beginnings Church, made the case that a waning morality in the United States is contributing to incidents of public violence. Following introductions, Perkins stated that "at some point, we have to realize that as a nation, we have a problem, and the problem is not the absence of laws, it's an absence of morality. We’ve driven religion from our public life, and we're shocked that we no longer have morality and we no longer value human life."

On Destroying America

USA - To survive what may be coming, you have to be strong, well anchored, and assured in the midst of craziness and deception everywhere. We are lied to, deceived, and manipulated constantly to believe what isn’t so. Any weakness will declare itself quickly. Our country is being dismantled, systematically, methodically. It has been going on for a long time, with patience and stealth, since at least the sixties and it is happening from within. Almost everything the Left needs to finish is now in place. Again, be strong in your beliefs. There are forces out to destroy this nation, our culture and society. It is like a cancer that is metastasizing. They will succeed, if we let them. They have accomplished much because too many of us have fallen asleep. Liberals taught us to question authority. It is now time to question theirs.

Economic Armageddon Is Just Around The Corner

USA - "Judging by bond markets around the world, economic Armageddon - or something awfully close to it - is just around the corner." “It’s difficult to describe markets,” said the CIO, reflecting on his decades of trading. “For what seems like forever, markets behaved in ways that reflected shifting expectations about central bank activity, economic trends, and profit potential, but that's changing,” he said. “Now markets shift direction on a tweet then reverse on some comment. And nearly all of it is political." But even politics are different now. "Yet through it all, global interest rates are collapsing like an economic calamity looms."

Brexit: Attempt to delay until January 2020

UK - Prime Minister Boris Johnson had wanted an election on October 15, but Labour and other opposition MPs would not back the move while the option of a no-deal Brexit on October 31 remained open to the PM. The House of Lords said it would pass the legislation by Friday. This idea of trade being so important is really quite insane. Nevertheless, Trump has not helped by trying to create jobs with his trade negotiations. China will listen to the US news which will show Trump losing 2020 even if you put a monkey up as the Democratic candidate. The press is so against Trump that they will turn this trade issue into real insanity. Likewise, this aids those in Britain desperate to keep their perks and pensions in place so they are selling out Britain for personal gain using the same issue as trade.

France says 'non' to Brexit delay

FRANCE - France's patience with the United Kingdom's failure to find an acceptable deal to leave the European Union is wearing thin, according to Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian. "In the current circumstances, it's no. ... We are not going to go through this every three months," Le Drian told the CNEWS broadcaster.

Philippines: Supreme Court Rejects of Same-Sex Marriage

PHILIPPINES - The Catholic bishops of the Philippines have praised a Supreme Court ruling this week rejecting a controversial petition seeking to legalize same-sex marriage. In a unanimous September 3 decision, the Supreme Court of the Philippines dismissed a landmark petition to legalize same-sex marriage in the majority Catholic country. “With the decision not to legalize same-sex marriage, our judges have ruled rightly, underscoring the natural and ethical form of marriage,” Bishop Ruperto Santos told the Rome-based Fides news agency. “The rejection of same-sex marriages reinforces the sanctity of marriage and the stability of the family in the Philippines.”

Erdogan Threatens to ‘Open the Gates’ to Migrants

TURKEY - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has demanded international aid to help with the Syrian migrants in his country, threatening to “open the gates” to Europe. The Turkish leader said that he wants to create a “security zone” on the Syrian border with Turkey and settle around one million asylum seekers and has demanded aid from the international community to carry out the proposed project, Bild reports. “Our goal is for at least one million of our Syrian brothers to return to the security zone we will build along our 450-kilometre border,” Erdoğan said and continued: “Give us logistical support, and we can build houses up to 30 kilometres into the north of Syria.” “Either that happens, or we open the gates,” he added, claiming that the European Union had not given any support to the proposed project.

Finally! European Bank Bosses Rage Against Negative Rates

EUROPE - The ECB’s imposition of negative interest rates have created an “absurd situation” in which banks don’t want to hold deposits, rages UBS CEO Sergio Ermotti, arguing that this policy is hurting social systems and savings rates. Ermotti is not alone. As European bank bosses cast their eyes at their share prices, they are fighting back, some have said – biting the hand that feeds, in their attack on ECB policies, warning of severe consequences to asset prices and the broader economy.

Just what is an Apostle?

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!

Listen to Me, You who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My Law: …I have put My words in your mouth, I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, “you are My people” (Isaiah 51:7,16)
