USA - “Get NewsGuard for your browser today. NewsGuard’s trained journalists assess news websites for credibility and transparency.” Keep in mind, from what I understand, that the people behind this project are trying to make this mandatory for all schools, libraries, universities as well as computer/mobile devices sold in the United States (and I’m assuming elsewhere). This is one of the major pillars of the end game.
USA - The result of a new, independent audit of the last years of President Obama’s term, 2015 and 2016 – show an almost criminal attempt to cover-up gross mismanagement of funds and a wealth of errors. Thetruthdivision.com reports: Here’s what Audit Report 2017-FO-0005, released Wednesday, notes: “The total amounts of errors corrected in HUD’s notes and consolidated financial statements were $516.4 billion and $3.4 billion, respectively. There were several other unresolved audit matters, which restricted our ability to obtain sufficient, appropriate evidence to express an opinion.” That is a lot of waste, fraud, and abuse.
USA - If this January 10th story over at NBCNews warning of a potential 'doomsday scenario' unfolding if the government shutdown drags on for weeks or months or even years with 'economic experts' claiming we're 'venturing into no-man's-land' doesn't spur one to prepare, perhaps nothing will.
USA - A couple of links over at Steve Quayle's website on Sunday caught my eye: First one about upcoming Trucker's strike scheduled for April 12, 2019 and the second one from Business Insider explaining exactly what to expect if long-haul truckers stopped, from day one, into the day two-three scenario, then as long as a week, and it isn't pretty.
UK - British lawmakers defeated Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit divorce deal by a crushing margin on Tuesday, triggering political chaos that could lead to a disorderly exit from the EU or even to a reversal of the 2016 decision to leave. After parliament voted 432-202 against her deal, the worst defeat in modern British history, opposition Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn promptly called a vote of no confidence in May’s government, to be held at 1900 GMT on Wednesday.
USA - We continue to get more confirmation that the global economy is slowing down substantially. On Monday, it was China’s turn to surprise analysts, and the numbers that they just released are absolutely stunning. When Chinese imports and exports are both expanding, that is a clear sign that the global economy is running on all cylinders, but when both of them are contracting that is an indication that huge trouble is ahead.
GERMANY - Since arriving in Berlin as US ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell has flouted diplomatic conventions and attempted to interfere in domestic politics. He has since become politically isolated in the German capital. The ambassador made it clear in just a few sentences how little he thought of the chancellor's refugee policy. "There was no plan in place," he said, "so the policy really fell apart."
GERMANY - Germany is once again part of the UN Security Council for a two-year stint. But the council's inability to put a stop to the violence in Syria and Yemen in recent years shows the need for reform is more urgent than ever. Can Berlin make a difference? The expectations are significant, and not just in Africa. Now, the Germans just have to answer the question as to what role they want to play on the world stage.
USA - On January 3rd 2019 the House Proposed HR 25, ‘‘Fair Tax Act of 2019’’- a bill that will destroy the IRS and the privately operated Federal Reserve forever. Never mind Trumps “state of emergency”, we have been under martial rule since the Lieber Code went into effect in 1863, although Abraham Lincoln enacted the very first Presidential Executive Order in 1861 declaring a state of emergency and Martial Law due to the breakout of the Civil War crisis.
USA - "It’s interesting to watch the now-breaking story of how an FBI investigation was opened into a SITTING PRESIDENT after said president fired FBI Director James Comey. Remember, that firing came AFTER an internal review by the FBI of Mr Comey’s job performance that recommended the firing of Comey. Those same high-ranking FBI officials who informed the president Comey should be fired then turned right around and used that firing as cause for the FBI investigation into President Trump. This scenario is so out of the norm, such a stunning break from protocol, that it should be the #1 news story right now as it appears to solidify the case that the Deep State was (and likely remains), completely out of control in its pursuit to destroy a duly-elected President of the United States. THAT is Deep State machinations at its very worst and THAT is the story the American people must be made to know about.
USA - Residents in parts of Southern California have been ordered to evacuate for the second day in a row as the second of a parade of storm systems threatens to unleash mudslides and debris flows on areas still scarred by devastating fires. Officials in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties issued mandatory evacuation orders set to go into effect Tuesday morning. The evacuations in Los Angeles County go into effect at 8 am local time and impact residents in a portion of the area burned by the devastating Woolsey Fire in November. The fire burned through more than 90,000 acres, notably in Malibu, destroyed 1,500 structures and killed three people.
USA - A pastor is no longer the head of a California Presbyterian church after receiving backlash from within his congregation and the outside community over a sign stating that “homosexuality is a sin.” Pastor Justin Hoke, who led Trinity Bible Presbyterian Church in Weed, California, is without a job after he posted a sign outside his church on December 31 stating, “Bruce Jenner is still a man. Homosexuality is still a sin. The culture may change. The Bible does not”. Hoke told The Daily Wire that he created the sign after reading a news story where a biological male who identifies as female lashed out at a store clerk who “had accidentally referred to him with the masculine gender [pronoun].” The sign led to multiple protests from LGBTQ activists...
GERMANY - The US has sent a stern warning to Germany and Russia over their proposals to build a gas pipeline between the two countries stating they face “a significant risk of sanctions”. Meanwhile Richard Grenell the US ambassador in Berlin said the move “undermined the security of Europe”.
GERMANY - Germany is increasingly terrified at the impact a no-deal Brexit would have on the country’s economy, with one trade organisation warning a staggering 750,000 German jobs could be in jeopardy, while another expert has warned of “grave consequences”. He added: "That means that in Germany about 750,000 jobs depend on UK trade. It is important that the EU has made provision for the no-deal, for example, on air links or road haulage licences.”
USA - Donald Trump has warned its NATO ally to beware of the devastative wrath of US economic pressure if Turkey dares to attack the Kurdish allies America is leaving behind in its “long overdue” pull-out of troops from Syria. The US military, Trump promised, will still use an “existing nearby base,” apparently in Iraq, to attack the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) militants if the terrorist organization re-emerges in Syria. Using his typical mode of communication to reaffirm the withdrawal of American troops from the ground, the US president warned Ankara against seeing this as an opportunity to stage any military campaign against Syrian Kurds.
“Will devastate Turkey economically if they hit Kurds,” Trump tweeted, urging Ankara to create a “20-mile safe zone.”
