How the Tech Industry Uses Psychology to Hook Children

USA - "Something’s wrong with my son. He won’t spend time with us, won’t do his homework… all he wants to do is be in his room and play his game.” Parents, educators, and health professionals around the world are expressing frustration and alarm that children are being lost to video games, social media, and phones.

The Left Understands … You Win or Lose in the Schools

USA - Kentucky Representative Thomas Massie said the left is committed to a strong and well-funded federal education department because progressives know they win by gaining control of public schools and in teaching children. “The left understands that this is where you win or lose – in the schools and in the teaching of the children,” Massie said during a recent interview with the New American. “The Department of Education was established by Jimmy Carter as a re-election tactic, as a ploy, and it’s been part of Ronald Reagan’s platform and the Republican platform to eliminate the Department of Education,” he explained, adding that he introduced his bill to end the department by December 31, 2018, soon after the controversial confirmation of current education secretary Betsy DeVos.

Will one of these men lead the EU?

EUROPE - Europe's centre-right parties are gathering in Helsinki to select their candidate in the race to succeed Jean-Claude Juncker as president of the European Commission in 2019.  Mr Juncker's successor will enjoy a massive profile, a seat at summits of EU leaders and the power to introduce - if not pass - new European laws. The European People's Party (EPP) includes the heads of government of eight EU countries including Germany, Austria, Ireland, and Hungary. And because their group currently dominates the European Parliament, whoever wins this contest will have the most political clout in the race.

EU ON THE BRINK

POLAND - Poland is close to crashing out of the European Union because of its ongoing conflict with Brussels over rule of law, according to the bloc’s most senior official Donald Tusk. The European Council President insisted there is a “very serious threat” that ‘Polexit’ could happen by “accident” if the country’s leaders continue to row with EU bosses. Mr Tusk, who served as poland’s prime minister between 2007 and 2014, urged Warsaw’s current government to “come to its senses” and stop its high-profile feud with Brussels. The ruling Law and Justice party caused fury amongst the European Commission when its leaders decided to push through a number of judicial reforms, which forced a third of supreme court judges into early retirement. There are also ongoing rows over migration and logging between the Polish government and Brussels’ powerful executive.

EU lied for 50 YEARS

UK - Nigel Farage accused the European Union of “lying to us for 50 years” after French President Emmanuel Macron called for a “real European army” to reduce Europe's dependence on the United States for defence. Nigel Farage warned a European army would be “very dangerous” and “deeply insulting” to the United States.

Manipulating Precious Metals Markets

USA - An “exhaustive” investigation of the silver market by the US Commodities Futures Trading Commission managed to miss serial acts of price manipulation in the gold, silver, platinum, and palladium futures contracts markets. John Edmonds, 36, of Brooklyn, a former JPMorgan precious-metals major bullion trader, admitted he engaged in a six-year ‘spoofing’ scheme from 2009 to 2015 that involved placing orders for precious metals futures contracts with the intent to cancel those orders before execution in order to manipulate prices. He recently pleaded guilty to commodities fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, commodity price manipulation and spoofing and faces up to 30 years in prison, but is expected to get a lighter sentence. He said that he learned this practice from more senior traders and that his supervisors at the firm knew of his actions.

Vaccine HYPOCRISY at its best

USA - You’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it a hundred times again: The herd theory hoax that claims vaccines don’t work unless everyone gets vaccinated. Sure. And how is that? If the vaccines work, why would all of those people inoculated still be susceptible to getting the disease?

Childhood food allergies

USA - Food allergy awareness posters in elementary schools list the following 8 food products as the most popular food allergies among children. Allergic reactions from exposure, consumption or injection of these foods can be fatal. Those 8 ingredients include peanuts, nuts, wheat, soy, milk, eggs, fish and shellfish. If your MD tells you that your food allergies are hereditary, maybe that’s because your parents were injected with the same food “excipients” when they got their dozens of vaccines growing up.

The State Weaponizes Education to Create Ignorance

USA - A hundred fifty years ago, at least some Americans recognized that all serious discourse depended on the use of the faculty called Reason. Formal debate, science, and law all flowed from that source. A common bond existed in some schools of the day. The student was expected to learn how Reason operates, and for that he was taught the only subject which could lay out, as on a long table, the visible principles: Logic.

America Has Given The Crazies Control Of The House

USA - This is a very dark moment in American history.  On November 6th, the American people gave the keys to the US House of Representatives to the Democrats, and that means that the crazies will soon be unleashed on Capitol Hill.  They won’t be able to get much legislation pushed through because Republicans still control the Senate and Donald Trump is still in the White House, but they will be able to cause all sorts of chaos with their investigative powers.

Dear America, If Voting Made Any Real Difference...

USA - Dear America, If Voting Made Any Real Difference, They Wouldn’t Let Us Do It. It’s election time again and that means that roughly 40 percent of eligible voters will rush to the polls to vote for the lesser of two evils who they think will implement their political will for the benefit of the citizenry. Politicians will be waving signs on street corners as Americans line up in elementary schools across the country to cast their vote — for freedom, or something like that.

US Christmas sales predicted to surpass $1 trillion

USA - Christmas holiday retail sales in the US are expected to climb above the $1 trillion mark for the first time this year, on the back of low unemployment, solid income growth and higher consumer confidence, according to a study released Tuesday. Total retail sales in the US will hit $1.002 trillion during the holiday period — which it defines as spanning November 1 and December 31 this year — an increase of almost 6 percent from the previous year, marking the "strongest growth since 2011," data from market research firm eMarketer showed. The report comes amid concerns over the future of brick-and-mortar retailers, with the likes of Sears and Toys 'R' Us facing bankruptcy — although the latter's lenders recently cancelled a bankruptcy auction and plans to revive the brand.

New supercomputer mimics human brain

UK - A new supercomputer is able to mimic how the human brain functions, and can perform 200 quadrillion actions simultaneously. The Spiking Neural Network Architecture, or SpiNNaker, went online last week for the first time at the University of Manchester in Britain. The computer can model more neurons in real time than any machine on the planet, developers say. "SpiNNaker completely re-thinks the way conventional computers work. We've essentially created a machine that works more like a brain than a traditional computer, which is extremely exciting," Steve Furber, a professor of computer engineering, said in a statement.

Fertilizers’ impact on soil health compared

USA - In a newly published study, researchers dug into how fertilizing with manure affects soil quality, compared with inorganic fertilizer. Ekrem Ozlu of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his team studied two fields in South Dakota. From 2003 to 2015, the research team applied either manure or inorganic fertilizer to field plots growing corn and soybeans.

Measuring the Age of the Universe

USA - The single most important puzzle in today's cosmology (the study of the universe as a whole) can be summarized in one question: How old is it? For nearly a century - since the discoveries by Einstein, Hubble, LeMaitre and others led to the big bang model of creation - we have known the answer. It is about 13.8 billion years old (using current data). But in just the past decade the two alternative measurement methods have narrowed the uncertainties in their results to a few percent to reach a stunning conclusion: The two do not agree with each other. Since both methods are based on exactly the same model and equations, our understanding of the universe is somehow wrong - perhaps fundamentally so.

“Just what is an APOSTLE?”
Just what is an Apostle?

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!

Listen to Me, You who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My Law: …I have put My words in your mouth, I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, “you are My people” (Isaiah 51:7,16)
