Obama Calls For Increase in Social Security Benefits

USA - Social Security Just Ran a $6 Trillion Deficit and No One Noticed! This afternoon, President Obama announced his support for a great idea: increasing Social Security benefits. As Talking Points Memo reports, the president said: “We can’t afford to weaken Social Security, we should be strengthening Social Security,” Obama said. “And not only do we need to strengthen its long term health, it’s time we finally made Social Security more generous and increased its benefits so today’s retirees and future generations get the dignified retirement that they have earned.” Obama suggested the country pay for expanding Social Security by asking the “wealthiest Americans to contribute a little bit more.” “They can afford it,” he added. “I can afford it.”

Nigeria Boko Haram: Children starving, warns Unicef

NIGERIA - Almost a quarter of a million children in parts of Nigeria's Borno state formerly controlled by Boko Haram are suffering from severe malnutrition, the UN children's agency says. Tens of thousands will die if treatment does not reach them soon, Unicef warns. In areas where Boko Haram militants had been in control, it found people without water, food or sanitation. Last month, a charity said people fleeing Boko Haram had starved to death. The Islamist group's seven-year rebellion has left 20,000 people dead and more than two million displaced.

Italy’s wrangle with Europe will dwarf Brexit shock

ITALY - If you think Britain’s banks are in bad shape, spare a thought for the Italians, where the country’s battered lenders are rapidly crumbling under an astonishing €360 billion (£300 billion) of bad loans.

The Worst (Fake?) Coup Ever Has Enthroned Erdogan As A Dictator

TURKEY - What just happened in Turkey? I have been thinking about this for a number of hours now, and I have narrowed it down to two options. Either this was the worst military coup in my entire lifetime, or it was staged. I will explain how I came to this conclusion below, but in any event the end result of this “coup” is that President Erdogan is even more popular and has consolidated power to an extent that is absolutely breathtaking.

At height of Turkish coup bid, rebel jets had Erdogan's plane in their sights

TURKEY - At the height of the attempt to overthrow Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, the rebel pilots of two F-16 fighter jets had Erdogan's plane in their sights. And yet he was able to fly on. The Turkish leader was returning to Istanbul from a holiday near the coastal resort of Marmaris after a faction in the military launched the coup attempt on Friday night, sealing off a bridge across the Bosphorus, trying to capture Istanbul's main airport and sending tanks to parliament in Ankara. "At least two F-16s harassed Erdogan's plane while it was in the air and en route to Istanbul. They locked their radars on his plane and on two other F-16s protecting him," a former military officer with knowledge of the events told Reuters. "Why they didn't fire is a mystery," he said.

A Dark And Distressing Time Has Descended Upon The Civilized World

USA - Does it not seem as though events are starting to accelerate significantly? Since I warned that something “had shifted” and that things had “suddenly become more serious”, we have seen the worst mass shooting in US history in Orlando, we have seen the massacre of five police officers in Dallas, we have seen the horrifying terror rampage in Nice, and now we have seen the brutal murder of three police officers in Baton Rouge.

Turkey government seemed to have list of arrests prepared - EU's Hahn

EUROPE - The swift rounding up of judges and others after a failed coup in Turkey indicated the government had prepared a list beforehand, the EU commissioner dealing with Turkey's membership bid, Johannes Hahn, said on Monday. Following a failed coup attempt on Saturday, Turkish authorities on Sunday rounded up nearly 3,000 suspected military plotters, ranging from top commanders to foot soldiers, and the same number of judges and prosecutors. "It looks at least as if something has been prepared. The lists are available, which indicates it was prepared and to be used at a certain stage," Hahn said. "I'm very concerned. It is exactly what we feared."

The Mainstream Media Is Not Real “News”

USA - Americans need to understand that virtually nothing of importance that is shown on mainstream media programming is real or factual. All major events are scripted or are covered with a massive propaganda bias. This shouldn’t be news to anyone who is paying attention.

Illegal Immigrants Get More Food Stamp Benefits Than Poor American Citizens

USA - There’s a reason Americans are angered over illegal immigration and despite what liberal-leaning socialists like Hillary Clinton and the Huffington Post may suggest, it has absolutely nothing to do with racism.

It’s an economics issue, plain and simple. That $2 billion a year in free food offered to people who shouldn’t be in this country in the first place is only part of it. An already overburdened American taxpayer is also forced, by way of the gun, to pay for illegal immigrants’ health care, college tuition, and other social services. But if you argue against illegal immigration or the “free” services they consume you are a racist. We’d argue you’re a realist, especially if you understand that all of these free services only work until the government runs out of other peoples’ money.

Bahrain’s main Shia opposition bloc dissolved by court

BARHAIN - Al-Wefaq, Bahrain’s Shia opposition group, has been dissolved by the kingdom’s top court for “harboring terrorism,” local media report. The court in Manama has also ordered that the movement’s finances be impounded by government. The group’s accounts are to be closed and its financial assets will be transferred to the state treasury, the Associated Press cites Bahraini dailies Al-Ayam and Al-Wasat as saying. Neither Al-Wefaq, nor Bahraini officials were available for comment, AP reports. The kingdom of Bahrain is ruled by a Sunni dynasty, while the majority of the nation’s citizens are Shia Muslims. International pressure on the island kingdom, which hosts the US Navy’s 5th Fleet, has been intensifying in recent years because of the ever-growing discrimination against the Shia opposition and the increasing number of attacks on free speech carried out by the Bahraini government.

State doubles down, wants to define what's religious

USA - A church sued over Iowa’s state transgender policy when officials asserted they had authority to control the content of pastor’s sermons. Now the church has filed a request for an immediate protective order in response to the state’s claim of authority to define what is religious.

Euthanasia Tyranny in Canada

CANADA - Back in 2014, before the Canadian Supreme Court imposed euthanasia on the whole country, Quebec legalized what it calls "aid in dying," which in the context of the law requires a doctor-administered lethal jab. But mere legalization wasn't enough. Quebec's Health Minister is in the process of forcing dissenters within the medical profession to kill.

Please stop saying the Nice attacks have nothing to do with Islam

EUROPE - In the wake of the Nice attacks people are already saying: "But the terrorist wasn't pious. See! It has nothing to do with Islam." Please stop. Your good intentions towards us Muslims are only making the problem worse. This is as dangerous as saying it is everything to do with Islam.

Commander of Air Base Holding US Nukes Arrested After Turkey Coup Attempt

TURKEY - On Sunday, Turkish authorities arrested the commander of Incirlik airbase General Bekir Ercan Van, putting in question US-led anti-Daesh operations that are launched from the Turkish base, as well as relevancy of storing American nukes there. Bekir Ercan Van was detained at the base along with a number of lower-ranking officers on suspicion of complicity in the military coup attempt in the country. The news came amid a large-scale "cleansing" operation aimed at capturing all the coup plotters. At the moment, around 6,000 people have been arrested. Many experts speculate that the massive crackdown on military that is ongoing in Turkey at the moment will eventually lead to Ankara’s fall out from the anti-Daesh struggle or NATO.

“Just what is an APOSTLE?”
Just what is an Apostle?

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!

Listen to Me, You who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My Law: …I have put My words in your mouth, I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, “you are My people” (Isaiah 51:7,16)
