Sheikh Ali Abu Ahmad began by slamming a Jordanian plan to install security cameras at al-Aqsa this week. Jordan’s Islamic Affairs Minister said that the cameras will “document all Israeli violations and aggressions,” and that no camera would be placed within mosques. Abu Ahmad rejected this claim, saying that the cameras will instead be used “to monitor the Muslims who confront the Jews, so that they can be arrested by the Israelis, by the Jordanians, or by the Ramallah Authority of Disgrace.”

“The Al-Aqsa Mosque has been suffering under occupation ever since the defeat of the Caliphate in Istanbul,” he added. “The Al-Aqsa Mosque is being defiled by the Jews day in and day out.” Abu Ahmad concluded by praying for the death of all Jews, saying, “Oh Allah, annihilate all the Jews! Oh Allah, enable us to kill them! Oh Allah, make the ground swallow them up, along with their homes!”

Abu Ahmad ended an address at al-Aqsa on November 2014 in a similar manner, shouting, “Oh Allah, annihilate America and its coalition. Oh Allah, enable us to cut off their heads. Oh Allah, help our brothers, the mujahideen in the land of Iraq and Syria.”

ISIS released a video in October pledging to “liberate Al-Aqsa from the defilement of the sons of apes and pigs.” That same month, a Hebrew-speaking ISIS militant vowed that “we will enter al-Aqsa mosque as conquerors, using our cars as bombs to strike the Jewish ramparts.”

Mascord takes for granted that Christians must be wrong for opposing same-sex marriage and that, therefore, the Bible is wrong as well. He ridicules believers, suggesting that acceptance of the moral instruction found in Sacred Scripture is akin to belief that the earth is at the center of the solar system.

“We need to acknowledge that the Bible, for all of its beauty, wisdom and on-going relevance, is an ancient text, pregnant with ancient assumptions and beliefs, many of which we no longer reasonably hold,” he writes. The Guardian’s essay is reminiscent of a 2015 op-ed in the New York Times, where food critic and gay activist Frank Bruni argued that Christians should be coerced into embracing the gay lifestyle.

Like Mascord, Bruni wrote that Christians who hold on to “ossified,” biblically based beliefs regarding sexual morality have no place in modern society and should be re-educated, forcibly if necessary. Referring to Christians as “bigots,” Bruni wrote that religion “is going to be the final holdout and most stubborn refuge for homophobia. It will give license to discrimination” and therefore it must be stamped out.

The problem, of course, is that many Christians believe the Bible to be God’s Word, with crucial teaching for understanding who the human person is, and what sort of behavior is worthy of his unique dignity. Christians, moreover, do not see disapproval of gay sex to be a symptom of an irrational “homophobia,” but rather a reasonable and cogent moral evaluation of human behavior shared by the vast majority of humanity throughout history.

Calling Christians “bigots” or attempting to shame them into abandoning their ethical standards is a vile and unworthy practice, even when carried out under the guise of tolerance and “enlightened” thought.

How many more airports, train stations, sports stadiums, restaurants or concert halls will be obliterated in a hail of suicide bombs and bullets? How many more world leaders will wring their hands on national television afterwards and spout pointless platitudes about the ‘poor brave victims’ and ‘heroic emergency services’?

How many taunting, gleeful claims of responsibility will the despicable perpetrators of these evil crimes be able to issue? I’m sick of this, aren’t you? Sick of feeling sick about such endless, senseless barbarism. And the worst thing about it is that I see no end. The inherent problem which causes it, chaotic war-torn instability in the Middle East, is getting worse, not better; just as the financial and military resource of the enemy is growing greater, not reducing.

Yet just as the world is crying out for strong decisive leadership, there is none.

America has a demob happy President Obama eeking out his last few months in office. A man whose infamous ‘leading from behind’ philosophy to foreign policy has been partly responsible for the war in Syria raging uncontrollably for five years – allowing fundamentalism to ferment. Obama has zero interest in doing anything tangible to really deal with ISIS. This is now parked in the tray marked ‘next president’s problem.’

Europe, meanwhile, is splintering at the seams, ravaged by an unprecedented migration crisis that nobody seems to have a clue how to handle. German chancellor Angela Merkel’s decision to let a million migrants into its country is already seen to be an utter disaster.

So nobody seems to be doing anything concrete to stop ISIS, or even suggesting a new way to do so given the spectacular lack of success to date. Well almost nobody. By coincidence, I had an interview scheduled today with the world’s most controversial man, Donald Trump, for my UK show, Good Morning Britain. It was set up a couple of weeks ago, but the timing was eerily prescient. Here is one man who definitely has a plan to deal with ISIS terrorism. Several plans in fact.

Trump told me countries must tighten their borders in light of these terror attacks, especially to anyone related to an ISIS fighter in Syria.

He told me he wants law-abiding Muslims to root out the extremists in their midst, expressing his bafflement and anger that someone like Abdeslam was able to hide for so long in the very part of Brussels he had previously lived.

He told me America must make it far harder for illegal immigrants to enter the US and thinks European countries should follow suit.

He told me he believes there are now areas of many major European cities which have become poisonous breeding grounds for radicalized Islamic terror.

I didn’t feel I was talking to a lunatic, as many seem to view Trump.

I saw a guy, a non-politician unfettered by PC language restraints, who is genuinely furious at the devastation which ISIS is wreaking, and seriously concerned for the security of his fellow Americans and indeed, the citizens of Europe.

At the end of our interview, I asked Donald Trump to send a message to the large majority of non-violent, decent Muslims who are as disgusted by these attacks as the rest of us. ‘I have great respect for Muslims,’ he said, ‘I have many friends that are Muslims. I'm just saying that there is something with a radicalized portion that is very, very bad and very dangerous. I would say this, to the Muslims, when they see trouble, they have to report it, they're not reporting it, they're absolutely not reporting it and that's a big problem.’

Tens of thousands of Jews in Israel and around the world are expected to abstain from eating and drinking for three straight days next week, as part of an extraordinary fast established by several rabbis as a “spiritual response" to the security and social disparities in Israel. It will be dedicated to “examining one’s conscience regarding one’s actions, responsibility, and contribution to social tikkun (Jewish ethics)."

The initiative, "the three days," is led by Rabbi Yuval Asherov, a natural therapist and a spiritual Kabbalistic guru. He said, "This is a critical time to the people of Israel." Other rabbis called on the public to join him, such as Rabbi Shalom Arush, a Breslov Hassidic leader.

"When extreme situations arise, they require an extreme reaction," explained the fast's leadership. "We must make a general break in routine to wake up, stop, cure the evil of separatism, and unite. It was known long ago that in times of trouble, when Israel unites, the troubles disappear."

“We have to bear in mind a long period of terror,” Rainer Wendt, chief of the German police trade union, told Passauer Neuen Presse newspaper on Thursday. The terror attacks in Brussels that claimed lives of 31 and injured at least 260 have been “an alarm signal for the entirety of Europe,” he said.

Germany, which has seen no jihadist terror attacks until recently, would surely be targeted by terrorists, Wendt warned. “London, Madrid, Paris, now Brussels. German cities will not avoid [similar attacks] in the long run as well.”

Earlier on Tuesday, German Interior Minister de Maizière told ARD TV channel that European countries need a system of personal data exchange compiled by security services of the EU member states. “The external borders of the Schengen zone have too many gaps in them. We need a log which shows, who is coming in and who is leaving.

“Europe as a whole is threatened and we need common solutions to terrorism,” de Maizière said. Germany is on high alert following the Brussels bombings. Security measures have been tightened at airports and railway stations as well as in areas bordering Belgium and the Netherlands.

They dwarf the amount traded by actual food producers and buyers needlessly tipping millions into hunger and poverty. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation currently estimates that about 795 million people of the 7.3 billion people in the world, or one in nine, are suffering from chronic undernourishment in the period 2014-2016.

We are not talking of poverty here but life threatening food shortages driven by the pursuers of profit. UNHCR states that there is enough food for all people of the world but the principal problem is that many people in the world still do not have sufficient income to purchase enough food.

America can no longer claim to be an independent nation when our manufacturing base is under foreign ownership or foreign control. After all, ownership equals control, and control equals sovereignty. We lose our sovereignty as a nation when foreign companies buy our land, factories, and companies.

How so? Because the more Chinese and other foreign companies establish ownership of American assets, plants and factories, the more they have the right to demand how our US economy is run, because how it is run affects them, too.

So since GE’s appliance business (not the entire company) is now under foreign ownership and therefore foreign control, what options are left for patriotic American consumers who want to keep profits, jobs, and tax revenue within the borders of the United States?

Whirlpool just happens to be the only remaining major American-owned appliance company in the United States, and we need to support them with our consumer dollars when we shop for appliances.

"No one is suggesting that Putin is contemplating a nuclear launch against a NATO country, but it's not clear how tethered to reality Putin is," Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy told reporters Monday. "And it should make us nervous that many of his submarines are starting to get dangerously close to the US and our allies."

Murphy made the comments while arguing that the US Navy needs to pursue an aggressive plan to replace aging submarines, which can thwart rival countries from gathering intelligence and maintain the security of global shipping lanes.

In recent years, Putin's navy has pursued a more aggressive strategy than even during the Cold War, Murphy said. "Russian submarines have been pushing out to the very precipice of NATO-ally waters," he said. "We have seen Russian boats coming closer to the US and to our European partner ports than ever before, in immensely provocative ways — in ways that were rare even during the days of the Cold War."

The two companies joined together to create Motiva Enterprises LLC in 1998, a 50-50 joint venture that operated three refineries on the US Gulf Coast. But Shell and Saudi Aramco have seen their interests head in different directions. "It is now time for the partners to pursue their independent downstream goals," said Abdulrahman Al-Wuhaib, a senior vice president of Saudi Aramco’s downstream unit.

The breakup will allow Saudi Aramco to take over the Port Arthur refinery and 26 distribution terminals, and Aramco will also hold onto the Motiva brand name. Shell will take over the other two refineries, Convent and Norco, both located in Louisiana. Shell said that it would operate the two refineries as one plant with a combined throughput of 500,000 barrels per day.

He was arrested by special forces in Anderlecht, a suburb to the southwest of Brussels, according to RTL. Laachraoui was caught on security cameras Tuesday morning arriving with suicide bombers Khalid and Brahim El Bakraoui at the Zaventem Airport in Brussels. He walked around the airport with them as the three pushed baggage carts, and then left after setting an explosive that failed to detonate.

The El Bakraoui brothers conducted twin suicide bombings, and a total of 34 people were murdered in their attack as well as in an additional bombing an hour later at the Maalbeek metro station located right near the EU headquarters. Around 200 other victims were wounded. Laachraoui is thought to have been the bomb maker for the assault on Brussels.

Belgium is currently observing three days of national mourning. The US on Wednesday issued travel warnings on Europe, advising that terror groups are planning more attacks in the near future according to intelligence information.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson stressed there is no "specific, credible intelligence" pointing to a similar plot in America, but he said the Transportation Security Administration would deploy additional security at major airports and rail stations in different cities. Officials also reviewed additional security measures for travelers from Belgium, among more than three dozen countries whose citizens generally don't need a visa to enter the US.

The State Department warned Americans about potential risks to travel in Europe. "Terrorist groups continue to plan near-term attacks throughout Europe, targeting sporting events, tourist sites, restaurants and transportation," it said in a statement. Officials advised US citizens to "exercise vigilance" in public places or on mass transportation and to take "particular caution" during religious events or large events.

The attacks in the Belgian capital underscored the growing threat posed by the Islamic State group on both sides of the Atlantic. The bombs in Brussels' airport and subway locked down the European Union's capital just a few months after attacks shocked Paris and San Bernardino, California.

Representative Adam Schiff of California, the House Intelligence Committee's top Democrat, said the threat of copycat or lone-wolf attackers may get worse as the Islamic State faces increased military pressure by the US-led air campaign in Iraq and Syria. "In terms of targets, this may be one of the most dangerous phases," Schiff told The Associated Press shortly after being briefed on the attacks. "ISIS is facing pressure on the battlefield and they are suffering defeats. To enhance their prestige … they feel the need to lash out at Western targets."

They create a complicated regulatory framework, which only large companies with their Human Resources departments can comply with. This drives small competitors out of business, destroys competition and encourages monopolies, forcing the consumer to pay a higher price for poorer quality goods and services.

There are four key institutions of the EU: the European Commission, European Parliament, European Council and the Court of Justice of the EU. Each institution supposedly represents separate interests. The Commission represents the EU, the Parliament represents the people, the Council represents the Governments of each Member State and the Court interprets the law. However, these institutions do not do this in practice, as they all represent large multinationals and an integrationist agenda, as the intention is to create a federal United States of Europe. This new country already has a flag, a Parliament, an anthem, Presidents, currency, a legal system, legal status and a navy - to name just a few.

The EU Commission is the guardian of the treaties and enforces EU law. More importantly, this means it is the Government of Europe which has the sole right to propose the laws which increasingly encroach on our lives here in Britain.

The Commission is made up of 28 unelected commissioners, who cannot be held to account. Each commissioner has a specific policy area in which to create laws. The Commission has a President (currently Jean-Claude Juncker); unlike the other 27 commissioners he is personally elected by the European Parliament, however his was the only name on the ballot paper, not exactly democratic. The Commission is advised by the Directorate General, which along with the Commission is heavily lobbied. Once the Commission proposes an EU law, this proposal is taken to the Parliament.

Secondly, the Parliament is made up of 751 MEPs who are elected by the people in EU Member States every five years in elections. This is not a Parliament in any real sense, as they have no right to propose laws. Instead it is a façade, created to make the EU look democratic, rather than give the public a choice over those who makes their laws. The Parliament does vote and can make amendments on laws proposed by the Commission, but the Commission must accept any of the amendments proposed for the changes to become effective, showing where the power lies.

The EU is a highly undemocratic organization ratcheting more and more power with every passing day. It is impervious to public opinion. The people who matter in the law-making process are unelected and therefore unaccountable.

Palestinians also see the city - which is holy to Jews, Christians and Muslims - as their future capital, and any final peace deal between the peoples would have to include an agreement on sovereignty. Trump is the frontrunner for the Republican US presidential nomination, despite previously risking the wrath of conservative foreign policy voters by suggesting he would be neutral in the Israeli-Palestinian dispute.

But on Monday, shortly before addressing the pro-Israel AIPAC lobby in Washington, he told CNN: "There's nobody more pro-Israel than I am. We have to protect Israel. Israel is so important to us." And, asked whether he would recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Trump replied: "Yes, I would." "The fact is I would like to see it moved, I would like to see it in Jerusalem," he said.
