The Next Few Days Have the Potential to Transform Greece and Europe

GREECE - As it turns out, the Greek crisis ends not with a bang, but with a referendum. It has been easy to ignore the doings in Greece for the last few years, with the perpetual series of summits in Brussels that never seem to resolve anything. But it’s time to pay attention. These next few days are shaping up to become a transformational moment in the 60-year project of building a unified Europe. We just don’t yet know what sort of transformation it will be.

Obama Issues 19 Classified Directives Changing Laws Passed by Congress

USA - “Everything secret degenerates, even the administration of justice; nothing is safe that does not show how it can bear discussion and publicity.” — Lord Acton

Since being inaugurated in 2009, President Barack Obama has issued 30 Presidential Policy Directives (PPD), 19 of which he has ordered to be kept secret from Congress and the American people. Barack Obama campaigned for president promising to usher in an era of transparency in government.

Obama: We Need To Help People Overcome Their Religious Beliefs

USA - “Sometimes there are days like this when that slow and steady effort is rewarded with justice that arrives like a thunderbolt,” Obama said. Although the progress might have seemed slow to gay rights advocates, he added, the nation’s shift on same-sex marriage has been “so quick.”

“But today should also give us hope that on the many issues with which we grapple often painfully, real change is possible,” the President continued.

The Delphi Declaration – Paul Craig Roberts

EUROPE - The Delphi Conference on the European/Russian crisis created by Washington issued a declaration repudiating the EU attack on the Greek nation. The Delphi Declaration asks the European peoples, especially the Germans, to do the right thing and object to the plunder of Greece by the One Percent. This appeal to goodwill is likely to fall on deaf ears even though the pillage of Greece will create a precedent that can then be applied to Italy, Spain, France, and even Germany.

57 countries set to sign on to China-backed investment bank AIIB

CHINA - One of China’s biggest foreign policy successes ever will take concrete shape Monday when delegates from 57 countries sign an agreement on the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing. The founding members of the China-backed AIIB will sign articles of agreement that decide each member’s share and the bank’s initial capital.

Pope Francis Takes a Stand Against Toxic Agriculture

VATICAN - On June 18, 2015, Pope Francis' 184-page long Encyclical letter was published, in which he calls for the transformation of lifestyles, politics, agriculture, economics, and business in general to tackle environmental degradation. To many people's surprise, Pope Francis appears to have a fairly comprehensive grasp of the subject of genetically engineered food and its many inherent hazards, both to the environment and human health.

The Vatican Wants the Temple Mount Taken From the Jews

VATICAN - In 2000, speaking in a mosque in Palestinian-held Ramallah, Yasser Arafat declared, “No one will succeed in removing us from our land, including Jerusalem, and the Palestinian flag will fly from the Temple Mount and from the churches in Jerusalem.” Arafat could say that because he had won the Vatican's support for his terroristic strategy. On June 26th, 2015, the Vatican signed its first treaty with the “State of Palestine”. It is the logical conclusion of a long path.

German military activities to be extended in the Indian Ocean

GERMANY - Bundeswehr circles are calling for German military activities to be extended in the Indian Ocean. According to an analysis by three political scientists at the Bundeswehr University in Munich, the ocean linking Eastern Africa, Southeast Asia and Australia is the most important sea for global trade. It will replace the Atlantic, to become the most important "Ocean of the 21st Century."

The Most Dangerous Mountain In The United States

USA - Is the next major volcanic eruption in the United States just around the corner? Mount St Helens and the Yellowstone supervolcano get most of the attention, but many geologists are actually far more concerned about the potential danger that Mount Rainier poses. It has been called a “time bomb”, “the most dangerous mountain in the United States” and “one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world” due to its proximity to major population centers.

The world is defenseless against the next financial crisis, warns BIS

SWITZERLAND - The world will be unable to fight the next global financial crash as central banks have used up their ammunition trying to tackle the last crises, the Bank of International Settlements has warned. The so-called central bank of central banks launched a scathing critique of global monetary policy in its annual report. The BIS claimed that central banks have backed themselves into a corner after repeatedly cutting interest rates to shore up their economies.

Greece in shock as banks shut after snap referendum call

GREECE - Greeks struggled to adjust to shuttered banks, closed cash machines and a climate of rumours and conspiracy theories on Monday as a breakdown in talks between Athens and its creditors plunged the country deep into crisis. Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who blindsided creditors by calling a referendum on the austerity cuts in the aid package proposed by the creditors, appeared on television on Sunday night to announce capital controls to prevent banks from collapsing.

Greek debt crisis: Banks to stay shut, capital controls imposed

GREECE - Greek banks are to remain closed and capital controls will be imposed, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras says. Speaking after the European Central Bank (ECB) said it was not increasing emergency funding to Greek banks, Mr Tsipras said Greek deposits were safe. Greece is due to make a €1.6 billion (£1.1 billion) payment to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday - the same day that its current bailout expires.

Federal Reserve primed to raise rates

USA - Strong US jobs growth will open the door for the Federal Reserve to raise its interest rates for the first time since the financial crisis, official data is expected to confirm this week. Figures released on Thursday are likely to show that the American economy added a further 230,000 jobs in June, all but confirming that the world’s biggest economy is booming again, experts say.

Thousands of new graduates out of work, figures show

UK - A third of working graduates took jobs as cleaners, office juniors and road sweepers six months after leaving university, according to new figures. Over 60,000 students were in "non-professional" roles, working in areas such as administration and secretarial, skilled trades, service and caring industries and sales and customer service. The number represents a slight decrease from two years ago, figures published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) showed. The new data also showed that almost 16,730 were out of work six months after leaving university.

Amsterdam abandons sister city agreement with Tel Aviv

HOLLAND - A plan to link the cities of Amsterdam and Tel Aviv as twin towns was cancelled Thursday after pro-Palestinian groups pressured the Dutch capital’s mayor into backtracking on his proposal. Amsterdam Mayor Eberhard Van der Laan, who attended Tel Aviv’s annual gay pride parade earlier this month, had expressed on several occasions his admiration of the White City, its tolerance toward the LGBTQ community and its booming start-up scene.

“Just what is an APOSTLE?”
Just what is an Apostle?

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!

Listen to Me, You who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My Law: …I have put My words in your mouth, I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, “you are My people” (Isaiah 51:7,16)
